00:00someone's coming down your chimney this season but it's not who you think here's
00:04your Christmas spot on the Amigo toys Krampus 8-inch action figure
00:09Krampus joins the Amigo lineup this 8-inch tall action figure features 26
00:33points of articulation and a real cloth outfit stuffing naughty children in his
00:38sack since the 12th century before we get a closer look at the Amigo Krampus
00:428-inch action figure let's take the tape measure even though I've pretty much
00:45already told you how tall the figure stands I was like to really just double
00:48check things so we're gonna grab of course the tape measure as promised
00:50we're gonna take right to the very top horns of the Krampus here sure enough it
00:54is correct the figure who's gonna stand at 8 inches in heights or the shadow of
00:58Santa Claus stands 20 centimeters tall with the way that his holiday was
01:03getting ruined it's probably a good thing that Clark Griswold didn't know
01:06yet here's what the figure looks like along with Clark Griswold from National
01:09Lampoon's Christmas Vacation both are 8 inch tall figures so roughly they're
01:13gonna be about the same size to one another he's also gonna be the same
01:16size as also the earlier looked at holiday creep from Creepshow the origins
01:19of the Krampus were that back in the 12th century in Germany in the early
01:23days of December kids would be told the tale of a creature that would roam the
01:26streets swatting naughty children with birch sticks unfortunately though for
01:30the naughty kids now this Krampus doesn't come in clue with any birch
01:33sticks at all for that matter he doesn't include any accessories other
01:36than really just the Santa's jacket he's currently wearing the jacket I will say
01:40is one of the things I really do like about this figure it looks like it's
01:43only done up by just the belt alone the Christmas belt as you can see not
01:46necessarily it's that it's Christmas belt but on the back of it though it
01:50actually just is attached by velcro that once you do undo this I think for all
01:54intensive purposes you'd be able to take the jacket off completely the jacket is
01:57one thing again I really do like about this there's a little bit of like glue
02:00crustiness in some of the areas of the jacket more so you see it down below
02:04here on the furry trim I don't know why it's probably just the way that they
02:07attached it onto it but you can feel like it's just there's a little bit of
02:11just like glue residue left behind but I think though once you took off the belt
02:15you'd be able to really slide the jacket off completely you may be able to put it
02:19on to it like another figure for example I was kind of looking at Clark Griswold
02:22I was thinking like I wonder if I'd be able to take this off and put it on
02:25Clark instead one thing though is I think the material that they've done
02:29for the jacket is really nice kind of feels like I don't know like a crushed
02:32velvet the color looks really good too if you were to say take the jacket off
02:36what you'd be seeing underneath is a finished flocked body for the for the
02:40Krampus it does seem like it's flocked everywhere flock basically means that
02:43they run an electrical current through whatever it is they want to fling the
02:46flock to and with that electrical current in place the flock then sticks
02:51to whatever surface they want to use so underneath all this you basically be
02:54getting a furry body of the of the Krampus and it seems to be as well like
02:57if you move the sleeves out of the way they've got flocking everywhere I think
03:01it's pretty much finished everywhere that you would imagine and in some of
03:04the places you probably want to be hiding as well with the jacket so I like
03:08the flocking in the body I love the jacket that they've given the Krampus
03:11and I think as well like his face is really cool as well don't be expecting
03:15like a mask of Santa Claus this time around this is like the origin the early
03:18days of Krampus so you sort of get more of like a demon here purple skin long
03:23pointed ears horns jetting out the top of his forehead and a big long tongue
03:27I think the coloring around his eyes also help as well just to help bring
03:32those red eyes to the forefront just pop it's a really neat looking head sculpt
03:36it obviously doesn't match the coloring to the rest of his body I don't think
03:39it's supposed to either although some images of early Krampus sort of depict
03:42more of again a demon creature it looks very much similar to this where I guess
03:45maybe the color would match the rest of his body I have one fortunately one
03:49problem for this figure and I don't think I was naughty and need to be
03:52punished but unfortunately though while getting this guy to the packaging I went
03:55to try to move his limbs around and I snapped this knee right here it was
03:59overly tight sure enough though this knee bends fine but it doesn't bend all
04:04that much I mean you can see kind of see as well maybe this is one of the
04:07problems with it that the flocking is fine from the front but it looks like
04:11it's covered over everything on the back of the joints so that probably it was
04:15the thing that broke on the back of this was that there was so much flocking over
04:18top of the joint it just built up there that when I went to bend it there was
04:22nothing really that would allow me to bend and it just snapped off did I cry
04:26maybe a little bit maybe a little bit but yeah unfortunately though on the leg
04:30just snapped off completely I had to glue it back in place I mean it's not
04:33necessarily I mean it's broken from the standpoint that I can't do anything with
04:36this leg but if really my only idea is just to have this guy standing on the
04:40shelf a broken knee is gonna bother me very little other than it was maybe
04:44cutting onions just a little bit when it first broke oh no I think I really like
04:48also about this figure is that he's got these big big giant feet it kind of
04:51looks like he's got like dog feet now unfortunately though being that they've
04:55also added the flocking on the bottoms of them it means though that he doesn't
04:58have as much of a footing because it doesn't kind of give him a little bit
05:01more padding now he stands okay I've noticed the one of the issues though
05:05with the Krampus is that yeah you can probably already see it for yourself
05:08he's got really loose ankles both of these ankles this one actually is the
05:12worst of the two of all the places that you would want to have a little bit more
05:15stability is obviously in the ankles of a character and unfortunately though with
05:19my Krampus this ankle is not so bad even though I broke the knee on this
05:22side of the leg but this ankle right here is just way too loose look at it
05:26just a little look at the way that this is flopping about now for the figures
05:30articulation going back though to the Krampus head the heads gonna be on just
05:34a standard swivel that's all you're gonna get it allows at least the head to
05:37rotate all the way around but you're not gonna be able to move it up and down
05:39much of all when you're looking though it is body normally be able to kind of
05:43move the body around and it looks like you can move it a bit but you can't move
05:47it up the top here you're kind of moving it more down below here in the
05:49waist is it a ball joint it seems to be a ball joint so again you can rotate the
05:55torso all the way around again the arms do come out again I would I really
05:59stress this look really to where those joints are on these figures even though
06:04I couldn't really see the sleeves I can't even really roll them up all that
06:07much you really want to kind of make sure gauge first where those joints are
06:11because the last thing you'd really want to do is have this break I think the
06:14joint down here I think it's right here where I can bend it just a little bit
06:17but it's telling me right now don't bend it any more than you're doing right now
06:21because the same thing that happened here is the same thing that's gonna
06:23happen here hands do again rotate back and forth that's about all you're really
06:27gonna be getting it looks like he's just got these big furry oven mitts kind of
06:32cool I think that's really neat the fact that they flocked so much of this figure
06:35legs do split out there a little again on the tight side there's so much
06:40flocking everywhere on this guy at least look unfortunately it didn't like
06:43limit anything at all for his ankles or for the tops of his thighs but just wish
06:48it wasn't the case when his knees again this knee bends fine but this knee had
06:52so much buildup on the back that had I just looked at the back of the figures
06:56leg I probably could have looked at and said hey well wait a minute wait a
06:58minute this this hinge is okay this thing just tell me don't move any
07:02further and of course I had to move further broke right off of course you
07:07got the ankle pivot back and forth that's really all you're gonna be
07:09getting with the figure and of course there's no peggles on the palms of his
07:11feet cool-looking Krampus cool-looking Krampus I wish he stood certainly a lot
07:15better than what he does and man it's a bit of a bummer that his leg had to snap
07:18but I mean again like just gluing it back in place I don't see any bit of the
07:22breakage I mean obviously I know that there's breakage behind the figure but
07:25it's gonna be a nice one I'm gonna be putting on display is a more the
07:29traditional Krampus I think everybody knows now with a recent movie of Krampus
07:33no this is kind of more like dating back to the original lore of Krampus so he's
07:36kind of more like a furry demon and I think one of the nicest touches as I
07:40bring in the other figures we've already looked at from Mego I think one of the
07:43coolest touches is the fact they put in so much flocking it didn't also mean
07:46either that the figure was a little bit more expensive than the other two that
07:49we've already had a look at I think as far as I remember Krampus was just the
07:52same price as both Clark Griswold and the Kree so again like if you're looking
07:55to get yourself some Christmas collectibles something you can put on
07:58the mantle at least for December Mego's got some pretty cool pretty fun
08:02offerings just again be careful of the knees whatever you do for Krampus here
08:06speaking of being naughty one naughty idea that did pop in my head is I was
08:09wondering if I took the jacket off of Krampus here not only could I use it for
08:13Clark Griswold but I was also thinking the material was so good by Mego I could
08:17perhaps maybe use it for the retro cloth Ricky Caldwell because that's the type
08:20of jacket that he wears in the second film unfortunately that will mean
08:23probably I'll have to either strip down the Krampus here or maybe just even buy
08:26another one but the material though is one of the two things I really like
08:30about this figure the second one being the flocking this flocking unfortunately
08:33does suffer in some of the areas of the figure especially on the backs the knees
08:36for one of my legs because unfortunately the leg did snap when I was trying to
08:39get it to bend one thing also I don't know if it's one of the things that's
08:43causing this guy so much conflict when it comes to him standing but I couldn't
08:46help but notice like his ankles just suck getting this Krampus even just to
08:50stand as long as he's standing right now seems to just be a Christmas miracle
08:54because half the time this is the second time in fact I've been trying to wrap up
08:57the review of this figure and Krampus has fallen every single time the head
09:01sculpt is good if you like the classic look for Krampus yeah he's a good
09:04looking release he just has a few problems and I think a lot of those
09:07problems stem from the fact that he has so much flocking on him what do you guys
09:10think of the Krampus let me know down below in the comment section probably
09:13not the Krampus that you guys were expecting I know when you looked at the
09:16title you thought all right yes he's looking at the neck of Krampus no I will
09:19be looking at the neck of Krampus shortly in the meantime though if you
09:22guys did enjoy this video do it a solid throw to like you guys want to stick
09:24around for more so hope so hit that subscribe turn on that Bell but of
