00:00Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Wednesday, November the 6th.
00:06Just bringing you some of our headlines this morning.
00:09The new owners of Doncaster's historic Grand Theatre have been revealed.
00:13Boss is saying the crumbling building is a fabulous jewel in the crown which deserves to be enjoyed by the city's people.
00:21The Grade II listed theatre has been redundant and slowly falling into disrepair after closing as a bingo hall back in 1995.
00:29But it was snapped up at auction earlier this year for £77,000.
00:34It's new owners are property development and regeneration firm Mossmans.
00:39So you can read all about the company and what their plans are for that building.
00:45Obviously it's right in the city centre, we'd love to see it come back to life.

00:55Then something from the police I put out yesterday.
00:58Neighbourhood and response officers from Doncaster East Neighbourhood Policing Team
01:02recovered a stolen vehicle and around £40,000 worth of suspected power tools following a pursuit.
01:09This took place on Sunday, November the 3rd.
01:12Officers in Thorne were called to assist North Yorkshire Police following a failed to stop involving an Audi A3.

01:24And then finally Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
01:30is at the centre of a High Court test case, which if successful could have a major impact on the NHS.
01:37A Doncaster nurse who contracted COVID during the pandemic
01:42has launched a claim up to £80,000 against the trust.
01:47This figure is expected to rise throughout the case, which is to go before the High Court because of its complexity.
