00:00Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press, just bringing you our headlines today, that's Thursday, November the 14th.
00:08First of all, still doing, still top of the charts for us, the unfortunate incidents of yesterday on the motorways.
00:18In total there were three accidents on the M18 and M62 in close proximity to each other,
00:25which caused an awful lot of tailbacks going on well into the evening.
00:30The first report came in at just gone 11 o'clock yesterday morning,
00:35then there was a second incident on the M18 shortly after that and then a collision.
00:42We believe there were all multi-vehicle accidents and that was on the M62, very close to the M18 junction, hence the chaos that ensued.
00:53Obviously we're really, really hopeful that people all got out safe.
00:57We will keep you updated if we get anything else this morning on that
01:01and hopefully all the roads are back to normal for you for your commutes.
01:06So that's the worst one out of the way.
01:11Then we have some good news, which has just come out this morning.
01:17One of our local community teams has won the King's Award for Voluntary Services.
01:22The announcement came out first thing this morning and that goes to Edlington Community Organisation.
01:28So well done everyone that's involved in that, it's a fantastic achievement.
01:33It's very, very prestigious and it's just brilliant that we've in Doncaster managed to achieve such a high award.
01:43Like I say, brilliant news, congratulations to everyone and keep up the good work.
01:49And then finally, a piece I put out yesterday, an ancient piece of woodland near to Doncaster is up for auction.
01:59You can read all about that today on the website.
02:01It's actually got a guide price of £45,000, so take a look at that.
02:07If you've got a spare 45k then it could be yours.
02:11So for those stories today and obviously anything else we need to bring you this afternoon, just visit the website www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk
