Transcript
00:00 Good morning everybody, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Thursday January 11th.
00:05 Just bringing you some of our headlines this morning. If you noticed a lot of police activity
00:10 in the city yesterday, that was probably part of the city's Operation Duxford. We've had a
00:19 couple of those operations in the past where they have a major clampdown on criminal activity.
00:25 It resulted in up to press 12 arrests and hopefully some more will be forthcoming for
00:33 a number of offences including, I think they also busted a cannabis factory as well.
00:41 So you can read all about that this morning. Obviously we'll bring you more
00:45 on that as the days go on. We also have the latest food hygiene ratings from a couple of
00:51 restaurants. They've done pretty well, they got a 4 out of 5 rating which means their standard is
00:57 good. So you can see which restaurants they are as well this morning. And then something that came
01:02 out yesterday, you may well have seen this on the national news, there has been some data revealed
01:08 with regards to the number of child sex offences that have been recorded across the country. But
01:15 we've actually got the South Yorkshire figures for that as well. Quite disturbing. The offences
01:22 are at record level at the moment. So for those three stories and for anything else that's
01:26 happening today in Doncaster, please visit the website. That's www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk
01:34 and have a great Thursday.
