Transcript
00:00Good morning, it's Steffa at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Wednesday, October the 23rd, bringing you some of our headlines this morning.
00:07Yesterday we sent out a story from the police.
00:10Two Corsair dogs were seized over the weekend after causing injury to
00:17their owners within their homes,
00:20leaving one woman requiring plastic surgery.
00:25The surgery case came about when
00:29there were two dogs basically fighting in the house.
00:35One
00:36aggressively attacked the other and while the owner was intervening, she was caused some serious harm.
00:43Like I say, that requires plastic surgery. You can read all about that on the website today.
00:49Then a
00:51double tragedy yesterday, a really, really terrible tale.
00:54There was an awful lot of emergency vehicle activity near the railway station in Doncaster yesterday.
01:01First of all,
01:03we heard that a person had died on the railway.
01:07Around nine o'clock the call was received to the emergency services.
01:11They seemed to be there for most of the day and it then transpired that a
01:17man had died falling from the French Gate roof on the same day.
01:22Absolutely terrible news there, but you can read all about that this morning. And then finally,
01:28something that was sent out first thing this morning. There's going to be a major 12-week consultation
01:33launched on how buses should be run in South Yorkshire.
01:37So if you're a regular user of public transport, you want to click on that, have a read,
01:42and you can get involved on the future of the services.
01:47So for those three stories, if anything else is happening in Doncaster, please visit
