00:00Good morning and Merry Christmas Eve. Just bringing you some of our headlines today before
00:06the big day tomorrow. We won't be working Christmas Day or Boxing Day but we will be
00:11keeping an eye on anything so if anything breaks over those two days we'll try and get
00:15it to you. But in the meantime, top of our table today is a piece, a couple of pieces
00:21actually that were put out yesterday about a police car chase which took place in Doncaster
00:28over the weekend. It transpires that the incident involved a man who had been driving
00:34the wrong way down York Road according to reports. The police gave chase and he ended
00:40up in a ditch. There were some drugs involved, some possession so you can read all about
00:47that on the website today. Then a good one for you for a nice festive one, the Bentley
00:54Mini Supermarket, Swaran in Doncaster is delivering 100 Christmas dinners to 100 families who
01:02are in need over the festive period. It's a proper Christmas dinner, turkey joints,
01:08potatoes, carrots, sprouts, you name it they're giving it away and also a nice little tied
01:13log to finish off the meal so that's a lovely lovely gesture so well done to them. They're
01:18always doing good things for the community down there. And then one of the big ones yesterday,
01:23we had a number of reports from over the weekend of various different incidents, arson
01:28attacks, cars ramming into buildings and following that the police have made 9 arrests in relation
01:35to gun attacks and the arson. Like I say quite a number of incidents and obviously we'll
01:42keep you updated on that as and when the people go to court if it comes to charging them.
01:48So for those stars and for anything else you just need to visit www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk
