00:00Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Monday December the 2nd,
00:05bringing you some of our headlines today. A couple of bits just to bring to your attention
00:09if you didn't see them over the weekend, there was a couple of incidents in Doncaster.
00:15We had quite a big police presence across the weekend, an incident at the railway station
00:23and then what we believe to be a road traffic collision near to B&M in the city centre.
00:30We've approached the emergency services for details on that. There are some short bits
00:34on the website at the moment, just with the scant details that we had, but we'll try to
00:38give you an update on those when we can. And then something that I put out just before
00:44the weekend actually that's doing really well, officers in Thorn acted on local intelligence
00:49to raid a commercial premises which led to the discovery of a £250,000 drug factory.
00:57It was a two-floor property in the town centre and when they got inside, they discovered
01:05a very, very large cannabis cultivation inside there, so you can read all about that this
01:13morning as well. And then finally, one more from the police that's just going online in
01:19the next half an hour. They've put out a piece about their visible patrolling in the city
01:24centre, why their officers are deployed into the city centre, what they're there for, the
01:30sort of things that they come across on a daily basis, so it's sort of an inside view
01:36really of the day-to-day life of a police officer, so that's quite an interesting read
01:40and that's going to be going on at some point in the next half an hour or so. So for any
01:46of those stories, please visit the website www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk and of course
01:52we'll keep you updated on Facebook and X as the day goes on and I hope you have a lovely
01:56Monday.
