00:00Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Thursday, October the 17th.
00:04Bringing you some of our headlines this morning. We have one from the council to start off with.
00:10A nightclub has retained its license under new conditions following some safety concerns there.
00:17The matter was passed by Doncaster Council just in the last week and that's Mambo on Silver Street.
00:24So you can read all about that on the website already this morning. Then a piece I put out
00:29yesterday. A Doncaster man has been, who has been previously been banned from entering the city
00:35centre because of a number of criminal behaviour orders. He's been breaching those a number of
00:45times and because of that he's actually now being jailed. We've got a photograph of him on there and
00:52the offences include asking people for money, anti-social behaviour, that sort of thing.
00:58Then also we have something that broke in Thorn, tea time-ish last night.
01:05A number of police vans, cars and armed officers were seen at Willow Grove in Thorn. We've yet to
01:13get any more information from the police. We did contact them last night, they have been back in
01:17touch with no information as of yet but I've been back in touch and explained what we believe
01:24has happened. We do know a man was led away in handcuffs but that is all we have at the moment.
01:31So keep your eye on that on the website and as soon as we get any more information we'll keep
01:36you up to date. So for those stories and for anything else that's happening in Doncaster
01:40just visit www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk and Facebook and X. Have a wonderful Thursday.
