Transcript
00:00 Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Tuesday February the 6th,
00:05 bringing you the headlines as usual this morning. Our first one was sent out
00:12 yesterday, it is the next movement with regards to Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
00:18 Oliver Coppard sent out a statement with information about the, what he calls, a
00:27 major step toward reopening the airport, which obviously closed with a lot of
00:36 concern from a lot of people, a lot of jobs lost there. People are campaigning
00:41 to get it reopened, whether that will come to fruition or not we don't know,
00:45 but there is a quite a lengthy story on the website and also there's an
00:50 interview with him on there so you can read all about what the next steps are
00:55 and what he plans for the future. Then we have a sort of a quirky one if you like,
01:02 we found this story on X, formerly Twitter. One of our followers on there
01:08 made a gruesome discovery whilst out rambling on Sunday morning. Well it
01:14 wasn't so gruesome in the end, he discovered a skeleton by the River
01:18 Don at Thorn. Actually it turned out to be a replica thankfully, but we've got a
01:24 picture of that and a story to go with that as well. Then finally a piece that
01:30 was sent out by the police yesterday. Three prolific shoplifters have been
01:35 jailed. They looted a number of city centre stores, causing a lot of damage.
01:46 £2,500 worth of stock and damage was caused between the three of them and
01:51 this so they've been jailed for over a year I understand. So you can read that
01:57 story as well today. So for all those three stories and for anything
02:02 else that's happening in Doncaster today just visit the website
02:06 www.doncaster.co.uk and have a great Wednesday, Tuesday!
