00:00 Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Friday February the 2nd.
00:05 I'm just bringing you some of our headlines this morning.
00:09 First of all, we have a story I put out yesterday evening.
00:13 We received reports of a serious road traffic collision and it has come to light this morning.
00:20 The police have been back in touch. That actually involves a vehicle, a couple of pedestrians,
00:26 one of which a man in his 70s sadly died.
00:30 We will bring you more on that story this morning.
00:34 Our thoughts go to family and friends of that gentleman. Terrible, terrible news.
00:39 Then we also have our court roundup. We have not had any for a couple of weeks.
00:47 There's not been many convictions from Doncaster Magistrates Court,
00:50 but we've got the latest up there on the web today for you to have a look.
00:55 Then also our better story. A Doncaster mum who had a premature baby
01:02 and was inspired by this premature baby's fighting for life to start up a little childcare business.
01:08 Messy Bambino as it's called.
01:11 Despite the family then suffering a horrendous house fire, which we have some pictures of actually,
01:19 the business continued. The baby was poorly, very, very poorly.
01:24 But again, has come out fighting and she has been nominated.
01:29 The business has been nominated for an award, which is just wonderful news after everything that they've been through.
01:35 So you can read everything about that today as well.
01:37 So for those three stories and for anything else that's happening in Doncaster today,
01:41 you know where to go. Just visit www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk
01:46 and obviously we'll keep you posted on our socials, Facebook and X.
01:50 Have a great Friday and a lovely weekend.
