00:00Hello, very good day to you. There's quite a lot going on this weekend, both in terms
00:04of sporting events and also in terms of the weather across the UK. Currently, there's
00:09an active jet stream running across the country. It's pretty fast for the time of year and
00:14it's driving some fairly unsettled weather. There is a waving front that's going to push
00:19its way eastwards across southern parts on Friday, bringing some persistent and at times
00:24heavy rain here. There is some uncertainty as to exactly how far north it's going to
00:28get, but I am expecting some rain around Silverstone, affecting practice for the British
00:33Grand Prix and also around the Wimbledon area too. Further north across parts of Scotland,
00:38perhaps northern England, Northern Ireland, there'll be some showers around, though maybe
00:42not as many showers as on Thursday and not looking quite as intense. So then in between
00:46these two areas, across some central northern parts of England and Wales, a decent amount
00:50of dry and sunny weather quite likely. And it's here we're likely to get the highest
00:54temperatures perhaps around some eastern parts of England. We could get into the low
00:5820 Celsius. Meanwhile, elsewhere, it is going to be a little bit cool for the time of year.
01:03Most places staying in the mid to high teen Celsius at best. There'll be some more heavy
01:08persistent rain pushing in from the southwest and making its way northeastwards across many
01:12parts of England and Wales as we go overnight into Saturday. That, though, does clear away
01:18quite quickly as we go through Saturday morning into the North Sea. Nonetheless, a wet start
01:23to the day across some eastern northeastern parts and could be some strong gusty winds
01:27in association with this as well elsewhere. And once that rain clears through, it's a
01:32day of sunny breaks, but also plenty of showers. And some of these showers could be heavy,
01:37possibly even thundery, especially across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland. I
01:41think they're going to be most frequent here. Even still, across England and Wales, there's
01:45a reasonable chance of catching a couple of showers. And again, these could affect both
01:48Silverstone and Wimbledon as we go through the afternoon. There will be some blustery
01:54winds around, and these are going to add to the cool feel. Again, temperatures below average
01:59for the time of year. Many places likely to stay in the mid to high teen Celsius may just
02:04about scrape into the low 20s, perhaps towards the southeast. Now, so far during the Euros,
02:10the weather has been a little bit dramatic at times. I'm not expecting that as we go
02:15towards the England Switzerland match on Saturday evening. It's looking like there
02:19could be a bit of showery rain in the lead up to kick off, but most of that will clear
02:23through and so it's looking largely dry, albeit a little bit warmer than here in the UK. Overnight
02:28Saturday into Sunday, we are going to see most of the showers across the UK dying out,
02:33but there will be more showers developing quite quickly as we go through Sunday itself.
02:38They'll be starting off across western parts of central eastern areas, starting off generally
02:42dry and sunny, but those showers developing quite widely as we go through the day. And
02:47again, some heavy, some thundery at times, some hail mixed in with them. I think on Sunday,
02:52slight difference in where the showers are going to be most widespread. Probably across
02:56England and Wales, they'll be most frequent, most intense. This is where we're most likely
03:01to see those torrential downpours. Notice some heavy ones developing, perhaps across
03:05parts of the southeast. Scotland, Northern Ireland, maybe slightly fewer showers here,
03:10but still some heavy downpours are quite likely. The winds will be a little bit lighter
03:14on Sunday compared to Saturday, but still that cool feel. Temperatures still a few degrees
03:19below average for the time of year. Again, most of those showers are going to ease and
03:24die out as we go overnight Sunday into Monday, but then some more wet weather starting to
03:29push its way up from the southwest as we go into the new working week. And really, that
03:34takes us into another changeable week ahead. It may be slightly less unsettled than this
03:40week, but really, I'm clutching at straws at anything a little bit more positive really.
03:45It is going to be wet, it will be windy at times, but we are going to see our temperatures
03:49rising going from several degrees below average just to near normal for the time of year.
03:54Of course, we will keep you up to date with the forecast as we go through the whole weekend
03:58and you can find our updates across our YouTube channel. Bye bye.
