00:00Something about north-south splits with the weather this Tuesday.
00:03Across the north, some sunny spells, but also a fair few showers.
00:06In the south, that's where we've got the warmth and the clearest skies.
00:10This is the image from space.
00:12Just about make out a swirl there in the cloud on the satellite image.
00:15That is an area of low pressure, high pressure in control for the south.
00:19There was some cloud through the night, but this was quite high cirrus cloud.
00:23Just meant a hazy start for some, but that's now scooting away to reveal sunny spells.
00:29Of course, southern England, East Anglia and the far south of Wales.
00:32Further north, though, more cloud closer to the low pressure.
00:35We have also a scattering of showers moving through.
00:38So be unlucky to have a very wet day.
00:42But the showers will come and go across northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland through the afternoon.
00:47Moving along fairly swiftly, which means a bright or sunny spell shouldn't be too far away.
00:51And when the sun pops out, it doesn't feel too bad.
00:54Temperatures mostly in the high teens, low 20s.
00:56But in the south, it's quite warm, actually.
00:59Twenty five, twenty six degrees across East Anglia and the southeast with lighter winds here.
01:04During this evening, still a few more showers to come over parts of Northern Ireland and through central Scotland in particular.
01:09But they'll head out into the North Sea.
01:12Most of the UK will be dry from late evening onwards.
01:16Clear spells developing, staying pretty warm across the south and further north.
01:20Quite a bit colder than than it was on Monday night into Tuesday morning.
01:25Temperatures across northern Scotland in particular, dipping well down into single figures,
01:29but holding up in the teens, certainly for most urban areas across England and Wales.
01:33Could be quite a grey start to Wednesday across south Wales in particular, but more clouds coming in here through the night.
01:39A little bit of rain is possible here and that might just extend into the Midlands.
01:43So a few showers just developing here, at least for a time through the morning.
01:47And we'll see more showers again across western parts of Scotland during Wednesday.
01:52Perhaps the odd one for northern parts of Northern Ireland, southwest Scotland, too.
01:56But again, for the vast majority, it's going to be dry and for a good part of northern and eastern England.
02:01And in the south, once more, we should see quite a bit of blue sky with quite a bit of sunshine.
02:06Again, it'll be in the south in that sunshine where we see those temperatures once more getting into the mid 20s.
02:11Twenty five, twenty six degrees, a bit warmer perhaps than today across northeastern parts of England.
02:16Twenty one, twenty two elsewhere.
02:17Again, we're mostly in the high teens or low 20s at best where it's predominantly cloudy.
02:23We'll still keep a lot of cloud across these western areas during the course of Wednesday evening.
02:27Perhaps a little bit of patchy rain heading up towards northern Ireland.
02:30A few more heavy showers coming into western Scotland at this stage.
02:34The possibility of some thundery showers then coming up from the south on Wednesday night.
02:39Quite a bit of uncertainty about that.
02:42And indeed, as we head in towards the weekend, which is a bank holiday for many of us.

02:51That'll be available on YouTube by Tuesday evening.
