00:00Hello again. Heavy showers sums it up for most places during the rest of Friday, but
00:05in the north those showers will be slow moving with the potential for some very large rainfall
00:09totals in places. Meanwhile in the south a keen breeze will push the showers through
00:15in theory. However, that breeze could converge so the winds coming together, for example
00:21from the south west towards the south east of England and that would cause a line of
00:28showers to develop which means that some places, if you're under that line, would
00:33get shower after shower whilst either side of the line, largely sunny skies and avoiding
00:38the showers, and a similar line could become established from Wales through to the Midlands
00:43and into Lincolnshire. Meanwhile, further north the showers are slow moving and very
00:48lively indeed across northern England, parts of Scotland as well as Northern Ireland and
00:53in places where you get shower after shower with these slow moving thunderstorms, well
00:58there's the risk of 60 plus millimetres throughout the day. The far north of Scotland, the Northern
01:05Isles, largely avoiding the showers and staying fine, but for many it's simply a day of heavy
01:11downpours, avoiding those downpours by watching the rainfall radar as best you can and it's
01:17going to feel cool, high teens, low twenties at best. There will be some longer spells
01:22of rain, there has been already through the start of Friday for north east Scotland associated
01:26with this occluded front and then that wraps back around into parts of the Irish Sea as
01:31we end the day on Friday and you can see this larger area of rainfall coming into the Irish
01:36Sea affecting south west Scotland and then north west England, parts of north Wales eventually
01:41pushing into the rest of Wales overnight. Meanwhile, showers ease away across central
01:44and eastern England through the night with clear spells but they'll continue across parts
01:48of Scotland as well as Northern Ireland, affecting the Northern Isles by this stage
01:51as well. And it's going to be a mild night with all of that weather happening, temperatures
01:57up at 13 to 15 Celsius but a wet start for western England, for parts of Wales. That
02:02rain pushes east, it breaks up into showers during the morning and showers develop again
02:07widely elsewhere but again there'll be a large difference from place to place and the main
02:12focus for the heaviest downpours will be through parts of Wales into northern England, western
02:17Scotland as well as Northern Ireland where again there'll be slow moving and could cause
02:21disruptions so tricky driving conditions, risk of localised flooding and so on. But
02:26brighter skies return to parts of the south west I think by the afternoon with some sunshine
02:30here albeit with a keen breeze and the far north and north eastern Scotland also seeing
02:34a brighter and drier day compared to Friday. It's again going to feel cool, temperatures
02:40only at about 19 to 21 Celsius, particularly where we get these showers coming through
02:44and some gusty winds associated with the downpours as well, especially towards the
02:47south. And you'll see the showers continue well into Saturday night, especially through
02:52central zones, either side of that, the far south, the far north, largely seeing clear
02:57spells developing. But Sunday effectively is another showery day with the risk of further
03:02slow moving thunderstorms and longer spells of rain in places. So some parts, northern
03:08Ireland, north west England, western Scotland, north Wales could see some very large rainfall
03:13totals over the next couple of days and we'll keep you updated how it all happens, following
03:18us on social media for those updates and of course you can stay across all the forecasts
03:22on the website and app. Bye bye.
