11 September - National weather forecast
Transcript
00:00Hello again. So brollies will be needed for some this weekend but rather cloudy and dry across many parts of England and Wales.
00:07We may even see a few brighter spells develop in some places.
00:11So we have low pressure across north Scotland and that is running eastwards into Scandinavia.
00:16High pressure across the south but fronts starting to nudge in from the west for Sunday.
00:22So a dry and cloudy start across many parts today.
00:27Although across the very far north of Scotland we may see some persistent heavy rain and that rain very slow to actually clear during the course of the morning and afternoon.
00:36Feeling generally rather warm for the time of year with temperatures around average reaching highs around 20 or 21.
00:45And where the sun does break through highs of 23 can be expected.
00:49So rather cloudy this evening and that rain over the far north of Scotland very gradually clearing eastwards.
00:57A few clear skies developing across the very far south.
01:02Temperatures generally overnight staying in double figures although we are actually approaching mid-September.
01:08So temperatures just nudging very close to single figures in a few places especially rural locations.
01:15So a bright start across many parts of England tomorrow although a bit cloudy further north.
01:20But it won't stay like that as clouds start to roll in from the south and west with outbreaks of rain reaching south Wales by mid-afternoon.
01:29Temperatures generally into the high teens, low twenties and rather breezy near North Sea coastal areas.
01:39And looking at the outlook period so rather cloudy early next week with areas of rain extended up from the south and west that moving north and east dry later.
