00:00Hello there. A bank of cloud and some patchy rain and drizzle will continue to bother central
00:07and southern parts of England and Wales through the next 12 hours or so. Further north we'll
00:13see some brighter weather on Wednesday. Backtrack to Tuesday though and we do have some showers
00:19moving in across the north and the west of Scotland, pushing ever south-eastwards, affecting
00:23Northern Ireland for a time. Now here's this slow-moving weather front extending from Wales,
00:29the west country, across the Midlands towards eastern counties of England, drier towards
00:34the south-east, although a few showers lurking along the Kent coast overnight. So that's
00:39the picture overnight. Under the cloud temperatures will hold up but in the starry skies towards
00:45the north, in more rural spots for Northern Ireland, the glens of Scotland, temperatures
00:50will dip down to around 2 or 3 degrees Celsius. However, Scotland will dawn bright on Wednesday.
00:57Yes, it will be chilly though. Showers, from the word, go across the north and the west
01:01of Scotland, a few for the coast of Derry as well as Antrim, but much of Northern Ireland
01:06getting off to a dry start. Then we run into the clouds anywhere from, I'd say, Greater
01:11Manchester towards East Yorkshire, southwards, as well as much of Wales. Spits and spots
01:17of rain, some drizzle and low cloud, particularly over the hills, and that rain extends towards
01:22the Midlands and East Anglia. The west country also seeing a bit of a damp start to the
01:28day. Now, to the south of that, we could see some brighter skies through the morning. It's
01:32going to feel warm in the sunshine for the likes of Kent, perhaps even Sussex. And further
01:37north, the sun will come out across northern counts of England, the far north of Wales,
01:42much of Scotland as well as Northern Ireland, but these showers will slowly slide over the
01:46highlands as we head through the afternoon, and further showers likely across the north
01:51as well as the west of Scotland, but not as heavy as what we've seen through Tuesday
01:56night into the first part of Wednesday. Temperatures then typically coming in around 14, 15 if
02:02you catch some sunshine towards the south, perhaps a 16, 10 in the north. And then overnight
02:07into Thursday, the greatest feature of the weather really will be poor visibility with
02:12fog, especially across England and Wales. You can see this trailing front here still
02:17producing the odd spot or two of rain, and then we will see a bank of showers push their
02:22way southwards across the north there. They'll clear, ridge of high pressure on Thursday,
02:27perhaps even a touch of frost for a time across the far north of Scotland, and then things
02:32ramp up on Friday as an area of low pressure moves in from the west, bringing with it cloud
02:37outbreaks of rain, some strong winds. But this is a maturing feature, so the low pressure
02:43will gradually push towards the northeast, allowing things to slowly quiet down into
02:48the weekend. Still a legacy of cloud, particularly towards the east with an easterly wind and
02:53still some showers in the north, but we will see some brighter skies as well.
