Episode 1 of the Australian kids TV series, about a posh English girl who discovers an old truck in her attic the day before her mother's upcoming wedding and discovers a unusual opal in there. Only it happens to contain two Australian genies (father and son), who are sworn to grant wishes to whoever owns the opal. Needless to say neither are particularly enamoured about the other...
This Australian series was co-written by the man who created Round the Twist, Epsom Storm, and features Alexandra Milman (who seemed to be in everything in the 1990's) as Penelope Townes, with Anna Galvin as her mother Diana, with Rhys Muldoon and Glenn Meldrum as the father/son Genies, and Monica Maughan as the housekeeper Miss Mossop. It also features Jacinta Stapleton, who later went on to appear in the soap opera Neighbours as Amy Greenwood a year later.
