01:22 characters stands at six and a quarter inches in height or Ring of Honor's Dan
01:26 Howzen stands 16 centimeters tall other than his jar of teeth Dan Howzen has
01:30 twos and twos two interchangeable hands two interchangeable heads what is jar of
01:35 teeth I figured you would stop for a second and say oh did I hear that right
01:39 you did hear right one of the things that he has carrying around with him to
01:43 the ring is generally is a little jar of teeth I'm not sure whose opponents teeth
01:46 those actually belong to but you can see that it does have a lid on the top so
01:49 there's actually no way to retrieve the teeth I'm sure the tooth fair is just
01:52 chomping on the bits to try to get these teeth away from Dan Howzen he doesn't
01:56 really have the means unfortunately to carry around the said jar of teeth the
02:00 hands that he has right now are kind of more relaxed hands or gestured hands I
02:03 suppose if anything you kind of just bring the hands kind of sideways like
02:07 this and you could carry around the jar of teeth that way but he doesn't really
02:10 have dedicated gripping hands for holding those the hands that he has
02:13 though just put in the jar over there for a second is his cursed hands one of
02:17 the things as well that Dan Howzen is known for is cursing his opponents in
02:20 the ring I'll swap these hands out for a second for these hands and also as well
02:24 change the hand change the head I think that best goes with his cursing a stance
02:28 the figure like I said does also come in some swappable head sculpts as well but
02:31 just before we do that let's pick up though Dan Howzen get a closer look at
02:35 the figure now he's based though on final battle from 2020 so his ring of
02:38 tires kind of fit more fittingly fitting that one thing he actually has that's
02:42 really needs is his cape the cape of week actually fan this out is a really
02:46 first of all decent material it has Dan Howzen printing on the back here with
02:49 one of his goat skulls there I really like the way they've done the cape here
02:53 and it actually has a wire frame that starts here it goes all the way to the
02:59 other side so some decent levels of possibility you can actually get the
03:02 cape there as well in the the cape is removable by the way so you don't have
03:06 to be committed to the idea of always having it around the neck of Dan Howzen
03:09 you can just unvelcro this and completely remove it if you want one of
03:13 my biggest concerns though about the cape was the fact that they were
03:15 actually using like a crimson material on the inside depending on how they
03:18 would have stained this I was my biggest worry really was the fact that the back
03:21 of the figure would have had like red stain marks on the back but luckily that
03:25 is that isn't the case at all from the head sculpt that we start things with
03:28 those sort of more of a neutral expression there for Dan Howzen he's
03:32 always a very intricately painting his face now he wasn't starting his ring
03:37 career like this halfway through I suppose the first year or so he wasn't
03:40 really happy with the way that his his really his career was going so he
03:44 decided to drastically change things up and change his name to Dan Howzen which
03:48 I think was very heavily influenced by the Simpsons and Milhouse the paint
03:52 though that they've done actually on the figure looks really nice Dan Howzen only
03:55 really paints the front of his face and the ears as well the whole back of his
03:58 hair supposed to look like this and I think the paint is really nicely done
04:01 here now again there's this expression he also has this one as well which is
04:06 actually one of my favorite head sculpts that he comes included with again like
04:08 just the attention to detail on the faces are fantastic the head slopes are
04:12 fairly easy as well to change off so you just gonna want to pop these off the
04:15 provided posts pop then the new head sculpt in place and now you have this
04:19 head sculpt or my favorite also as well if you guys want to pose him in his
04:24 cursed pose I think this is kind of more the closest thing to his cursed face and
04:27 again what you really will again just want to do is pop the head off swap it
04:31 then with this head and then we can also go back to his hands and just put where
04:35 I actually pop off the hands I want to show the attention to detail that they
04:38 actually did in fact sculpt and paint the ring on his hands but we're just
04:42 gonna go ahead and remove the hands here the plastic actually on these and I
04:45 haven't really had the chance to collect a lot of AEW figures which is really
04:48 surprising because AEW is my go-to when it comes to wrestling if you did want to
04:51 swap the hands out though it's just a case of popping these off from the
04:54 forearms here just pop the new hands back in place again super easy to do and
04:58 now you can get Dan Howzen and sort of his cursed pose usually something
05:04 after that would happen to the opponent Dan Howzen I don't think actually has
05:07 real cursing abilities but again I'm gonna try cautiously when I say that the
05:11 thing that's really cool about Dan Howzen though is the tattoos that he has
05:14 all over his body so he's got this really interesting one that's sort of
05:17 like this bearded man with bat wings on the sides and again nicely printed here
05:22 from Jazzwares he's got again like very familiar looking tattoos replicated
05:26 nicely here on the plastic he's got that on the shoulders he's not also here in
05:29 his triceps and down below here also in his forearms as well again for the
05:34 plastic and the the material that they've used like the figures feel
05:36 really durable again I really haven't had a lot of experience of collecting
05:40 AEW figures unfortunately here in Canada distribution as it really goes across
05:44 the board we tend not to get a lot of AEW figures and whenever we do there
05:48 are always several waves back I really like the look though a Dan Howzen even
05:52 though really more his ring gear is based on an on a Ring of Honor pay-per-view
05:56 rather than AEW it's again a really nice way of recreating the I remember in
06:00 fact watching this pay-per-view is actually a really good one but again
06:03 like the ring attire that he has is from 2020 and I think for the most part it
06:07 looks just like the suit that he wore in the in the actual pay-per-view itself he
06:11 has some additional red lines there on the sides of his legs not to mention as
06:14 well little Dan Howzen symbol there on the front of his trunks as well again
06:18 really nice looking figure down below as well he also does have his little Doc
06:21 Martens I don't know if he always wrestles though with his Doc's on but
06:24 again you've got the little stitch lines there on the sides really again decent
06:27 looking figure peggles peggles on the bombs of his feet as well now for Dan
06:31 Howzen's articulation heads gonna be on a bulge right we've already kind of
06:34 established the fact that the head is popping off and replacing pretty easy
06:37 but for the range though you can really have Dan Howzen's head looking pretty
06:41 high up this way looking down you can also move it as well only slightly back
06:45 and forth that's the part that where it's a little bit more limited as for
06:49 his arms beyond the point I would say even at 90 degrees he actually goes even
06:52 further than that arms rotate nicely all the way around on both sides figure does
06:56 have a swivel in his bicep a double hinge on the elbow I'm really glad to
06:59 see the jazz wears does use double hinges on their elbows and then hands
07:03 rotate all the way around with a hinge back and forth upper torso is gonna be
07:06 on a ball joint the only thing I did notice though with Dan Howzen though is
07:09 periodically his the top of his torso pops off frequently from the lower half
07:13 of his abdomen simple fix just gonna pop that back in place he has a waist
07:17 swivel as well there as well legs split out there on ball joints take the legs
07:21 move forward you can move them back about three quarters the way up the
07:24 thighs a swivel cut so you can rotate that all the way around double hinge on
07:27 the knee he also does have no articulation I was actually expecting
07:31 him to have like a cut here in his boot it doesn't seem to be the case ankle
07:35 pivot back and forth this way and the figure also has an ankle rocker now we
07:39 I think have gotten as well Dan Howzen from the AEW line this is obviously
07:44 based more on the Ring of Honor and again limited very limited to 5,000
07:48 pieces the fact that though they offer this online there on their site at only
07:52 $30 I think it's not a bad price at all if you compare it though to other
07:55 companies that have say quote site exclusives site exclusives usually means
08:01 as well that they can tack on extra dollars and charge a lot more than
08:04 really what the figures are worth for $30 if you're a big fan of Dan Howzen
08:08 specifically the exclusive here from Ring of Honor for $30 it's not a bad
08:12 pickup at all now this isn't the first Dan Howzen figure we've gotten from
08:16 jazz wears jazz wears has been faithfully following the AEW licensing
08:20 producing many different exclusives to many different sites but I can think of
08:24 at least four other versions of Dan Howzen there was the unrivaled
08:27 collection series 13 that had Dan Howzen with the blackjack with a little red
08:30 trim on it there was also one where he had the red cape there was a red cape
08:34 very nice very evil version that had the gray trunks and there was also even one
08:37 that was packed along with hook love to get my hands on that one as well being a
08:41 big fan of hook the one that we get here though is obviously not based on AEW but
08:45 based rather instead on Ring of Honor it's exclusive directly at jazz wears
08:49 vault site with only 5,000 pieces available if you are a big fan of
08:53 collecting wrestling figures and a die-hard fan you're probably collecting
08:56 anything and everything that the company's producing if you don't have
08:59 yet your hands on the Ring of Honor version of Dan Howzen again the only way
