00:00 Hello, welcome to your National Evening weather update from the Met Office. Many places saw
00:05 plenty of sunny spells today but also some heavy showers. These have been focused across
00:10 Wales and the south west of England. They're going to be easing as we go through this evening
00:14 and overnight. Elsewhere, a dry night to come, plenty of clear spells, especially further
00:20 towards the west. But once again, we'll see low cloud returning across north eastern parts
00:25 of Scotland and across north eastern England and also coming in to south eastern England
00:31 and east Anglia. So a murky night to come here but otherwise temperatures holding up
00:37 at around 10 or 11 degrees, perhaps just a little bit chillier underneath rural spots
00:41 further towards the west. We could see some mist and fog patches here as well. So to start
00:47 Sunday morning, a lot of mist, murk, low cloud around but that should gradually lift and
00:53 break away, especially for parts of England in the southeast to reveal plenty of sunshine
01:00 through much of Sunday. We will still see the odd showers, especially across the south
01:05 of England and also across Dumfries and Galloway. But across Scotland, holding on to quite a
01:11 lot of clouds here and especially across that northeast coast once again will hold on to
01:17 that low cloud and fog. But many places are seeing a day of sunshine, warm sunshine that
01:23 is, with highs of up to 24, possibly 25 degrees, but feeling cooler underneath the cloud in
01:30 Scotland and especially that low cloud across eastern parts of the coastline. So then as
01:36 we end Sunday evening, plenty of late sunshine on offer. But once again, we will see the
01:42 return of low cloud coming in from the North Sea, pushing its way further inland as we
01:48 go through the night, but drier further or clear spells further towards the west. And
01:53 it could turn chilly here with temperatures dropping into the single figures, but otherwise
01:57 assimilate with temperatures holding up at around 10 or 11 degrees. So to start Monday
02:04 morning, a bit of a mix. We should see bright skies further towards the west, but a murky
02:09 start further towards the east, with the low cloud gradually breaking up through the morning,
02:14 pushing its way back to the coastline to leave plenty of sunshine. Once again, we will still
02:20 see a few showers breaking out, but many places should remain dry and some of the showers
02:26 could perhaps be on the heavy side across Northern Ireland. But otherwise, a lot of
02:30 sunshine on offer through Monday with highs up to possibly 20, 22 degrees, but a little
02:36 bit cooler, especially down this eastern coast. As we look further ahead into the new week
02:43 then, a bit of a mixed picture with showers and outbreaks of rain coming into eastern
02:49 and western parts, so turning a bit more unsettled into the latter half of next week. But for
