00:00Hello, good afternoon. Well, we saw plenty of sunshine across the country yesterday.
00:05We are expecting to see some more this afternoon. But is it going to last? Well, let's find
00:10out. Taking a look at the bigger picture, we've got this area of high pressure across
00:14the country, bringing us those fine and settled weather conditions. But if we move our eyes
00:18over to the west, we can see low pressure moving its way towards the country, sweeping
00:23in some frontal systems, so some outbreaks of rain on its way. And notice a squeeze in
00:28the isobars too, which means things are not only going to be getting wet, but they are
00:31going to be getting windy too. But that's for the weekend. First off, let's talk about
00:36this afternoon. So plenty of sunny spells across the country, much of England and Wales
00:41seeing plenty of sunshine on offer this afternoon. A bit of a different story in the northwest.
00:46Plenty of cloud here and some outbreaks of rain and drizzle across Northern Ireland,
00:51western and northern parts of Scotland too. So a bit of a murkier day here, but elsewhere,
00:55plenty of sunshine on offer and generally lighter winds where you catch the sunshine too.
01:00So with highs of 16, 17, it should feel rather pleasant for the time of year. Now, as we
01:05head into this evening, that cloud and those outbreaks of rain will continue to push into
01:10the northwest, western parts of Scotland too. And notice these brighter colours too, which
01:14means we are expecting some heavier downpours by the time we reach Saturday morning. Across
01:19the south though, in parts of central and southeast England, that's where we're going
01:23to see plenty of clear skies overnight. So staying dry, but that's where it's going to
01:26feel cold once again. Probably going to see more mist and fog by the time we reach the
01:30morning. Heading into Saturday too, there will still be plenty of bright sunshine across
01:36much of England and Wales once any of that mist and fog clears away. There's still plenty
01:40of sunshine on offer until an unsettled weekend. But once again, in the northwest, cloudier
01:46with outbreaks of rain, this could be a little bit heavy at times. And notice out here in
01:50the west too, where we are expecting further heavy downpours, just pushing in to parts
01:55of the west country and western parts of Wales, parts of Northern Ireland too. But once again,
01:59where you do catch that sunshine is going to be feeling pleasant and warm. Those outbreaks
02:05of rain are going to continue into Saturday evening, moving in across a lot of the country,
02:10the east probably staying driest for longest. And that leads us into a generally unsettled
02:15weekend. But if you want more information on that, don't forget, you can always subscribe
