00:00Hello, good afternoon. Well, after a taste of summer to end the week, things are turning
00:04more unsettled from the west, though it is introducing a fresher feel to our weather
00:09as well. And the reason for this is that we have an area of low pressure drifting in from
00:13the Atlantic and moving into western parts of the country. So this means quite a damp
00:18start across the west for many of us and some quite heavy downpours along this area of rain,
00:24particularly across Devon and Cornwall and parts of Wales. So do take care if you're
00:28out and about as there's likely to be some spray on the roads and some areas of standing
00:32water to the far east, though plenty of hazy, sunny spells that we might start to see some
00:37showers break through that cloud across East Anglia. These could turn heavy, perhaps even
00:43thundery by the time we reach the afternoon. And it's across East Anglia where we hold
00:48on to those hotter temperatures as well that we saw in the week. Highs of 29 here, some
00:53slightly lower temperatures elsewhere, though is still going to be feeling quite muggy under
00:57that cloud and under that rain. Into the evening then, we will start to see a few still
01:03of these heavier downpours of rain, though it is generally fizzling out through the course
01:08of the evening, which means a largely dry night towards dawn. There's still a fair amount
01:12of cloud around, a few drips and drabs of rain and drizzle across central and southern
01:16parts of the UK, but clearing up across Scotland and across Northern Ireland, just with a few
01:21showers feeding into the west. But where you see those clearer skies, that is where it's
01:25going to be feeling cooler, a little bit fresher, but under those cloudier skies, another
01:30sultry night to come. Through for the second part of the weekend then, that rain will clear
01:36the far north east and it will generally brighten up after a cloudy start and a largely dry day,
01:42plenty of sunny spells around. A few showers feeding in still across western parts of Scotland
01:47and quite a wet afternoon on offer across Northern Ireland as we introduce the next
01:51area of rain from the west. Now temperatures you can see a little bit down compared to
01:56today, particularly across the far south east, however where you catch the sunshine it will
02:00still be feeling pleasant and warm. Quite a changeable week ahead, so don't forget to
