00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. I'm Marco Pitania.
00:04We'll see rather cloudy skies across the UK during the course of the afternoon. Thick
00:07enough in places to give the odd spot of rain, mainly towards the north and west, with the
00:11best of any breaks developing to the east and north of higher ground, so parts of north-east
00:15Wales, the east and north-east of England, up towards the north-east of Scotland, and
00:19locally too across eastern parts of Northern Ireland, not faring too badly with some sunshine
00:23breaking through. It's quite a blustery picture, but the wind's coming up from the south to
00:26south-westerly direction, so it's very mild for the time of year. Temperatures generally
00:31in the low, locally mid-teens Celsius, up to 15, possibly even 16 degrees down towards
00:35the south and south-west. 16 is 61 in Fahrenheit, and that's way above where they should be
00:40for the time of year. As we head into the evening and through the
00:43overnight period, we'll hold on to some fine weather down towards the south-east. Quite
00:46cloudy yes, but mostly dry here into the overnight period in fact. Whereas elsewhere, outbreaks
00:51of rain moving in from the west, gradually working their way eastwards across much of
00:55the UK into the early hours of Sunday. Some of the rain turning quite heavy, so by the
00:58end of the night some particularly heavy rain towards the south and east of Scotland, across
01:02parts of Wales, and locally down towards the south-west of England. Some clearer weather
01:06moving into the far north-west later, but those winds picking up even further towards
01:09the north and north-west, here we'll see gales, possibly even severe gales affecting the far
01:13north and north-west of Scotland. Wherever you are, it's a very mild night, temperatures
01:17generally frost-free, holding up into the double figures in most places, lows of around
01:2110-12C. As for Sunday, well, very unsettled days on the cards across the UK, with bands
01:28of rain moving in from west to east across all areas, some of the rain turning quite
01:31heavy at times, interspersed by some sunshine, and in the sunshine, and with those winds
01:35just starting to ease down a touch, it's going to feel very mild out and about. Temperatures
01:39in places into the mid-teens are once again up to 14 or 15C, 15C in the south would be
01:4559C in Fahrenheit. Notice the winds by the end of the day just starting to turn into
01:48the north and north-west, and that's a sign of things to come into the early part of next
01:52week. Through the evening, further outbreaks of rain moving in from west to east, that
01:56cold air just starting to tuck into the far north, and as I say, it will turn colder across
01:59the UK during the early part of the coming week. That's pretty much it from me, but of
02:04course you can keep tuned to The Met Office Forecast by following us on social media and
02:08subscribing to our YouTube channel. I'll see you soon, take care, bye bye.
