00:00Morning. Welcome to your 49-hour weekend.
00:04Will the weather be playing ball?
00:06Clocks going back, of course, tonight.
00:08Means we get that extra hour in bed.
00:10But for today, many places set fair.
00:13Dry and fine with sunny spells.
00:14But there's always one or two exceptions.
00:16And they're at the extreme southeast of the country
00:18and the far northwest.
00:19Thickening cloud bringing a grey day
00:21for much of East Anglia and the southeast.
00:23Parts of the East Midlands and Lincolnshire too
00:25staying pretty glum with some rain and drizzle at times.
00:28And then we have heavier rain coming into the far northwest.
00:31Quite a wet day on the west coast of Scotland.
00:33By this evening, that rain approaching Glasgow.
00:35And turning damp after a dry start across much of Northern Ireland.
00:38But between those two zones of cloud,
00:41quite a bit of fine, bright, sunny weather to be had.
00:44And it's still pretty mild temperatures
00:46getting up into the mid-teens, 15, 16, perhaps 17 degrees Celsius.
00:50Behind this line of rain, though, this weather front,
00:53some colder air is arriving.
00:55And that's going to seep its way south tonight.
00:57The rain will spread through the central belt this evening
01:00and then spread into parts of Northern England and North Wales.
01:03But all the while, as this line of rain trickles south,
01:06it kind of fizzles out.
01:07So by morning, it's pretty much disappeared.
01:10But it will be introducing that cooler air.
01:12Maybe one or two showers and a brisk breeze across the far northwest.
01:15But for many, it turns clear through the night
01:18and it will be turning chilly.
01:20Certainly colder than the night just gone.
01:22Widely down to the low single figures
01:25and some pockets of frost likely in the countryside.
01:27Not quite as cold across the far south.
01:30A bit more cloud spilling in here from that weather front,
01:33which is continuing to break up.
01:35And it should be disappearing quite smartly on Sunday
01:38to reveal plenty of sunshine tomorrow.
01:40Certainly for England and Wales, it stays that way.
01:42But for Scotland and Northern Ireland,
01:44we are looking at a weather system moving in,
01:46bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain
01:48and a strengthening breeze as well.
01:50So things changing here again during tomorrow.
01:53For the south, it's by and large a fine day on Sunday.
01:56It won't be as warm as today.
01:5712, 13, maybe a 14 after that cold start.
02:01These temperatures are close to average.
02:03Feeling pretty pleasant in the sunny spells.
02:05Whereas similar temperatures, but a very different feel
02:08with the wind and the rain across western Scotland
02:11and parts of Northern Ireland.
02:12That is from a weather system that's edging in during Sunday
02:16and will try and push south as we go through Monday,
02:19introducing more cloud.
02:20But again, I think the rain tending to fizzle out.
02:22And as we go into next week, if you're on half term,
02:25this is probably good news.
02:27An area of high pressure is starting to edge its way in,
02:30which will bring a lot of dry weather.
02:32Not necessarily sunny.
02:34There'll probably still be a lot of cloud and misty conditions.
02:37But this area of high pressure, I say,
02:39should give many areas a pretty dry week
02:42as we go through next week.
02:43If you are on half term, then do keep up to date
02:45with those day-to-day details.
02:46Best way to do that, of course,
