00:00A little bit of frost and a few fog patches around this morning, but certainly across much of the south
00:04It's likely to be a fine day with plenty of autumn sunshine
00:08Further north though. We are looking at much more cloud
00:10It means it's not as cold to start off with certainly for Northern Ireland parts of Southwest Scotland a little bit of drizzle here
00:16And there and we'll see some rain light rain and drizzle on and off across much of the day
00:20Save for the late districts and then later on we are going to see a bit more in the way of wet weather coming into
00:25The Highlands of Scotland and the Western Isles the winds also picking up here for most though
00:29The winds will be fairly light yes
00:31We do have some fog around this morning could take a while to clear away that actually but once it's gone much of the
00:36Midlands East Anglia Southern England South Wales having a fine day dry and bright with some decent spells of sunshine
00:43Pretty cold though first thing there are some patches of frost around by this afternoon
00:47Their temperatures up to double figures pretty much across the board unless that fog lingers into the afternoon
00:531011 12 degrees Celsius that'll feel pleasant enough in the sunny spells across the south and
00:591213 further north slightly above average
01:01But of course here it will be predominantly cloudy sugar should hang on to some sunny spells over northeast and Scotland
01:07But the winds will be picking up here as this zone of wetter weather sinks southwards a short spell of quite heavy rain
01:14Actually sinking across Scotland's through this evening then turning up into Northern Ireland the winds picking up as well as that band of
01:22Rain sinks southwards getting very blustery tonight over northern Scotland the Northern Isles
01:27Seeing gales for a time for the south the wind stay pretty light
01:30So again some mist and fog where we keep some clearer skies across southern England
01:34There could be some pockets of frost certainly in rural areas most towns and cities staying above where we've got that cloudier zone over
01:41Central areas temperatures holding up further north colder air is moving in but because of the wind
01:47Temperatures probably not dropping too far
01:48But of course that wind will make it feel pretty cold first thing on Saturday morning and cold enough
01:54For the showers to be coming in here to be falling as sleet and snow over the hills
01:59Rain in this zone this narrow band of rain sinking southwards kind of breaking up as it does so but certainly some wet weather on Saturday
02:06Spreading into the Midlands parts of Wales much of southern England remaining dry
02:11But fairly cloudy and still one more relatively mild day further north the colder air is sinking in so temperatures
02:18Are going to struggle to get out of?
02:20Single digits and when you add that wind on particularly over northern Scotland feeling an awful lot colder
02:25And yes still cold enough here for some of the snow showers
02:28Some of the showers across the hills to be falling asleep and snow that cold
02:33Fronts continues to push south as we go through Saturday evening. It is
02:38Doing what it says on the tin it's a cold front
02:40So it's introducing the colder air across the country
02:43But then things get mixed up by another set of weather fronts trying to develop and push in as we go through Sunday
02:49That's likely to bring more cloud and some outbreaks of rain and depending on how it interacts with the colder air
02:54it could bring a bit more hill snow across parts of the north and
02:57headaches as we go into next week as well because more weather systems are likely to develop and
03:03Push in across parts of England and Wales and again how they interact with the colder air will determine
03:10How much wintry weather we do see but it's definitely something to keep an eye and it's going to be colder
03:16Right across the board as we go through next week with an increased chance of seeing some sleet and snow in places and of course
03:23Overnight frost so do keep up to date with the latest
