00:00Good evening. It is settling down a little bit as we head into the weekend
00:04but there's still some pretty heavy rain to come possibly into Friday and
00:08Saturday. High pressure is building in from the west but it's still bumping in
00:12to this area of low pressure out to the east of the UK. That's what brought all
00:16the rain earlier on in the week quite widely across the UK and it's going to
00:20continue to bring some drizzly outbreaks of rain to eastern coast through this
00:24evening but it's central areas of Wales and the Midlands where we're likely to
00:27see the cloudiest skies and the drizzliest rain. We could also see some
00:31showers breaking out by the early hours of Friday across the far southeast as we
00:36come close to this area of thunderstorms affecting the near continent but where
00:41skies remain clear it could be a bit of a cold start tomorrow. In some areas of
00:45Scotland we could be down as low as two or three degrees but for most of us
00:49still a fairly mild start with lots of cloud around. Sunshine is going to be a
00:52bit limited through Friday but there will be some and in any sunshine it will
00:57feel warm. Now this area of showers across the south will become more of a
01:01feature at three Friday. There's a chance of some pretty heavy downpours
01:04affecting the southwest in particular. We could see some thunderstorms as well
01:09and we'll also continue to see this area of rain pushing down with that northerly
01:13wind across eastern areas of England of northern England as well as southern
01:17areas of Scotland as well. So potentially another pretty cool feeling
01:21day with that northerly wind keeping temperatures down into the low teens for
01:25some areas but in the best of the sunshine for example in the central
01:28belt we could be in the high teens possibly the low 20s and in any of that
01:32sunshine in the southwest away from the showers again not feeling too bad at all
01:36is sheltered from the northerly wind. But as I said there will be some rain around
01:40but I think some areas will get away with no rain at all. This is the rainfall
01:43we're expecting through Friday. Much of the UK white showing no rain expected
01:48but we could see you can see these brighter colors across the southwest
01:51where we could see 20 or 30 millimeters building up so we could get some
01:55localized disruption from those showers across the southwest that could last
01:58into Friday evening as well with rain continuing to affect northeastern areas
02:03of England parts of East Anglia possibly into the southeast through Friday night
02:07and as we head into Saturday is looking a little bit drier from the north and
02:11west best of any bright weather across western areas or northwestern areas and
02:15again here because of the clearer skies it could be a fairly fresh start to the
02:19weekend but similar elsewhere for many towns and cities 11 or 12 degrees first
02:23thing. Now through Saturday this area of low pressure still pivoting around in
02:27the North Sea so it's going to continue to bring a risk of rain and cloudier
02:30skies to eastern areas of northern England and southeastern Scotland and
02:35once again we could see some heavy showers breaking out across parts of
02:38Wales and the southwest. There's a bit of uncertainty in those showers so that's
02:41worth keeping up to date with through the next couple of days but there will
02:45be some brightness here and there particularly for some northwestern areas
02:48of Scotland some areas of the southeast as well. Temperatures here into the high
02:53teens possibly low 20s but for most of us we're in that sort of 17, 18 degrees
02:58bracket through Saturday. It does look a little bit drier as we head into Sunday
03:03as that low pressure finally pulls away but you can find more details on your
03:06full weekend forecast with our latest update with Aidan on YouTube. See you
