Future Home of the Heavenly Bridegroom - William Branham's _Revelation_ Stolen from Clarence Larkin

William Branham’s “Message” cult following considers the sermon “Future Home of the Heavenly Bridegroom” to be a recording that is fundamental to Branham’s core doctrine. It was allegedly the vision given to Branham by God to describe the transition from this life to the next.

This alleged vision, however, did not come from God. It was a topic-by-topic, point-by-point repeat of chapter 25 from Clarence Larkin’s book, “Dispensational Truth”. Researchers who discover the works of Clarence Larkin are surprised how many of Branham’s “divine revelations” came from Larkin. Since Branham claimed that they came from “God”, did he believe that Clarence Larkin was “God”?

The Future Home of the Heavenly Bridegroom, however, is the most obvious plagiarism by Branham of Larkin’s works. Branham did not even attempt to reorder the topics or change the meanings. Trivial details were added, and some words changed or ommitted, but the sermon as a whole was the same as the chapter from Dispensational Truth. If sitting in a classroom setting, students would think that this alleged “vision” was nothing more than an educational study of Clarence Larkin.
