03:29McDaniels hire as offensive
03:31coordinator and it's been a
03:32couple of weeks but I haven't
03:33heard this so tell us why well
03:35just it's a maybe it's a
03:37somewhat straw man thing but the
03:39the immediate reaction after
03:41McDaniels hire was that it was
03:43boring it was retread and that
03:45somehow Bob craft had pushed
03:48Josh McDaniels on to Mike
03:50Frabel and so to me that's the
03:52dumbest part of this and I get
03:54craft right now is absolute
03:55target for the fan base for a
03:57lot of reasons but like Mike
03:59Frabel had his choice I think
04:00he could have picked one of
04:01three or four jobs out there if
04:02you wanted to across the NFL if
04:04he had waited he probably
04:05getting on the Raiders this
04:06buddy Tom Brady he was not
04:08coming to New England to be
04:09told hey you have to get this
04:11guy so I thought that was
04:12really dumb the second part is
04:14like that he's some sort of
04:15retread and that he's boring
04:17this guy has been one of the
04:18best offensive coordinators for
04:20multiple points of his coaching
04:22career he fails at coach he
04:23wasn't good in st. Louis the
04:24Rams I totally get it but there
04:26is way more good than bad okay
04:28and if I believe the things I
04:30read about Josh McDaniels that
04:31he spent the last year or so
04:32looking at college programs and
04:34how to work those type of
04:35offenses into the NFL that's a
04:37big benefit to adding into
04:39whatever the Patriots you know
04:40Bill O'Brien Josh McDaniels
04:43Charlie Weiss that whole
04:44offense but on top of that
04:46there's a huge buy-in factor
04:48with this right if you would
04:50hire one of the young guns out
04:52there let me bring Nick Caley
04:53back I know Nick Caley was a
04:54favorite a lot of people he
04:56ends up as well yeah yeah a lot
04:58of me Andy Hart EI loves Nick
05:00Kelly love love love Nick Kelly
05:01fine very good coach I'm not
05:03here to like dump that as like
05:04his agency extra work for him
05:06both if you're Drake May who
05:09you're more likely to buy into
05:10the guy who might be the next
05:12young offensive line or the guy
05:14who worked with Tom freaking
05:16Brady and it's not just from
05:18from from Drake May Callahan
05:20it's the buy-in from the entire
05:21offense like they sit down they
05:23know there's an adult here he's
05:25done it before at the highest
05:26level and I'm not going to worry
05:28about if what he's saying comes
05:30from some place of inexperience
05:31and so what I heard in me
05:33initially was boring and a
05:35craft push and I did stupid
05:37especially if you're like me and
05:38only care about Drake May's
05:39development Josh is the best guy
05:41to develop Drake May and so
05:43I think people's expectations of
05:44what they might get an offense
05:46off target or like sort of
05:49anti-McDaniels I thought that
05:50was a dumb dumb narrative I
05:52heard after the hiring I love
05:54the hiring and I cannot wait
05:55Callahan for that first doing
05:57the first game Josh please put
05:59Drake May in shotgun have him
06:01fake like the ball got snapped
06:02over his head direct snap to a
06:04running back six yard game like
06:06Antonio Gibson free six yards
06:08for you feed me that play into
06:10my veins at some point next year
06:12I love the Josh hire so you
06:14know Mike that that players
06:17reserved exclusively for two
06:18point conversions in the Super
06:20Bowl which this is one of my
06:21greatest Twitter regrets I was
06:23living in Pennsylvania at the
06:24time covering Penn State football
06:25watching the 28 to 3 comeback

07:18hustle and go I'm life changing
07:20and then within six months
07:21they're still your asshole friend
07:22who's like pounding Miller like
07:24before you're going out to a
07:25brat party like and racing back
07:27from like come on you're that
07:28you're the same guy I do think
07:30there is something to be said
07:31though for a guy who's often
07:32suddenly need modernizing like
07:34some do but it's good to get
07:36away take a breath get some
07:39distance about what you've done
07:40and what could improve I think
07:41that time and space will help

07:43offense you see ultimately I
07:44believe will be similar to what
07:46we last saw from Josh McDaniels
07:47yeah I don't think it's be that
07:48different I really don't and by
07:50the way I'm okay with that and
07:51it's not just Brady like he
07:53worked with Brady he worked him
07:54he had Garoppolo and Brissett
07:56ready when Brady went down that
07:57year he went to work with Derek
07:59Carr's first year with Derek Carr
08:00he was elevated in a big time
08:02when it came to where he ranked
08:03service of the quarterback
08:04metrics that year he's made some
08:06mistakes man and I maybe it's
08:08the boring factor for some
08:09people but I think they are not
08:11understanding that the buy-in
08:13this offense is going to have
08:14now led by Drake May who's the
08:16only guy that matters on that
08:17offense to me is going to be so
08:19much higher than bringing an
08:20inexperienced guy I'm with you
08:22show me some of those old school
08:23Patriot plays the directs by
08:26way James White I gotta get this
08:27off he should have in the MVP
08:29that Super Bowl that that I
08:30definitely gave out at the time
08:31should have been the Super Bowl
08:32MVP had it stolen from I digress
08:35I want those plays I'm excited
08:36for Josh inciting for Drake May
08:39as well who for all accounts was
08:41pumped when he heard the Josh
08:42news which you should be yes and
08:44you're allowed to digress I mean
08:45I just dragged us back to 2004
08:47and then a tweet I didn't send
08:48in February 2017 which no one
08:50cared about or knew about till I
08:51brought it up so you were more
08:52than those two friends of yours
08:54they still care they still yes

08:58morning as you and I recording
08:59last night the Patriots finally
09:01announced their staff which on
09:02my last episode I said was coming
09:03and we got a full list the
09:05bottom line is the Patriots have
09:0619 new assistants under Mike
09:08Grable seven holdovers a this is
09:11not uncommon across the league
09:12new coach comes in more or less
09:13cleans house keeps a couple of
09:14guys who stay was interesting
09:16Geron Mayo Gerard's brother is
09:18sticking around as a strength
09:19and conditioning coach other than
09:21that a lot of the holdovers
09:22assistant offensive line
09:24defensive assistant the real
09:26names everyone wants to know and
09:27finally saw and finalized Doug
09:29Marone is the offensive line
09:30coach we know Thomas Brown's a
09:32tight ends coach and pass game
09:33coordinator Todd Downing
09:35confirmed as a receivers coach
09:36and a lot of these of course have
09:37connections to Mike Grable whose
09:39whole entire defensive staff of
09:40basically guys he's crossed over
09:41with including Ben McAdoo it's
09:43just as I called in the
09:44mustachioed cockroach who just
09:46survived this this demolition of
09:48the offensive staff he is still
09:49walking around and now on the
09:51other side of the ball do you
09:53have any big takes about the
09:54staff now that it's finalized and
09:55it's announced and we're moving
09:56on to the next stage of the
09:57offseason all right I have a
09:59take after I get a question from
10:00you because you follow this stuff
10:01much more closely than I do um
10:04why wasn't this part of the plan
10:05last year and why why was
10:09Rabel allowed to hire all these
10:11guys or does it seem like Mayo
10:13had it was a different set of
10:14rules for Mayo I know Belichick
10:15wanted fewer guys so explain the
10:17transformation from Mayo to
10:19Brable and I'll give you my quick
10:20take so the framework there
10:24because I've seen this other
10:25places and I think it's a fine
10:26question but it's just
10:27completely flipped on its head
10:29it's not that Gerard wasn't
10:30allowed to hire those assistants
10:32it's that he couldn't people
10:33didn't want to come here like I
10:34spoke with some agents and people
10:36involved in the offensive
10:37coordinator search a year ago
10:39that ultimately led all of us to
10:40Alex Van Pelt I don't think it
10:41was a bad hire but in the
10:42process we're like that
10:44interview is not great I don't
10:45I didn't really think I wanted
10:47to go here I took it anyway and
10:49pass you look now at this staff
10:51I do think there's an element
10:52when people argue about this is a
10:54different topic you know the
10:56experience and there's not a lot
10:57of overlap and systems and the
10:59guys haven't worked together
11:00there's a lot of ego you're
11:01buying low on Thomas Brown he's
11:03been a coordinator the last
11:04couple years he's now a position
11:06coach you're buying low on Doug
11:07Marone former head coach NFL
11:09coordinator been around forever
11:11to coach your offensive line
11:12this is a good thing you got
11:13talent in the building in the
11:15same way that we shouldn't be
11:16picky about roster town when it
11:17comes to the players they'll
11:18smooth this out and if it takes
11:20my variable benching one of
11:21those guys are saying hey quiet
11:22down or listen to Josh so be it
11:24but I think the staff is much
11:25better because of rebel is the
11:27draw guys didn't want to come
11:28here and work for a first year
11:29coach who would only be coaching
11:30for five years in Gerard male
11:32Mike variables a totally
11:33different story proven winner
11:34proven coach who's been around a
11:36lot of places and in that
11:37process became an attraction for
11:40other assistant coaches would
11:41never work with him before to
11:42finally jump on staff yeah I
11:44hadn't thought about that like
11:45Alex van Pelt was clearly like
11:46the last guys that they
11:47interviewed that actually wanted
11:49the job last year and there were
11:51a lot of guys who said no to it
11:52it's a similar thing to the Red
11:54Sox remember a year ago the Red
11:55Sox couldn't get someone to run
11:56their front office like Craig
11:57Breslow was not the first choice
11:58Theo had to basically beg Craig
12:00Breslow to come here because
12:01there were bad interviews made
12:02how many people turned down the
12:04Red Sox because they didn't want
12:05to deal with ownership or the
12:06message they were hearing I
12:07hadn't thought about that as far
12:08as like my reaction to it I love
12:10it it's diverse and it's not
12:12it's not Patriot centric like I
12:15think the ownership group in the
12:16organization as a whole is doing
12:18a lot of holding on to the past
12:20and he sees with the Cowboys have
12:21done this the 49ers did it you
12:23know during their run like
12:24there's too much clinging to what
12:26was there Rabel doesn't feel
12:28quite like that but they in the
12:29past have tried to like go back
12:31to their roots and try to prove
12:32to people hey this guy's part of
12:33the system I'm glad there are
12:35new voices I'm glad there are
12:36different guys Thomas Brown we
12:38have he got elevated to head
12:39coach the final what four or
12:40five games last year in Chicago
12:42so clearly they thought
12:43something about him he said
12:45tight end coach right for Thomas
12:46Brown yeah that's like now be a
12:48coordinator again and be a head
12:49coach in the NFL like I I am all
12:51for the bigger coaching staff I'm
12:53all for the diversity of it in
12:55terms of not all patriot centric
12:57guys new voices are good like I
12:59admittedly wanted Ben Johnson a
13:01year ago he was a new voice and
13:03different so new non like Gillette
13:07Stadium alumni who like I want
13:09people don't know where to park
13:10don't know where the offices are
13:11like it's new to them that's good
13:13for this organization right now
13:14so I'm all for it all for it
13:16yeah and I've explained this to
13:17is the problem solving right like
13:19if you're all working from the
13:20same system you grew up in the
13:21same defense in the same offense
13:23and you see the game same way
13:24there's a benefit in terms of
13:26your ability to communicate right
13:28because you call outside zone the
13:30same thing at a very basic
13:31example we need to do this against
13:33whatever your name is for outside
13:34zone if you're trying to defend
13:35it if you're on this staff now
13:37where Terrell Williams has been
13:38around with Detroit and obviously
13:39Tennessee and before that the
13:40Raiders and you've got guys that
13:41have worked under him Mike Smith
13:43their new outside linebackers
13:44coach with the Jets he's been with
13:46the Vikings he bounced around like
13:47they have different techniques
13:48they've got more options so when
13:50you come up with these problems
13:51mid game you know it's not your
13:53pulling from the same playbook in
13:54the same history you've got this
13:56diversity of experience and
13:57thought and understanding and
13:59techniques and they'll take some
14:00time to gel like this is gonna be
14:01very important offseason for them
14:03but I'd rather get the talent in
14:05the building and smooth it out
14:06and have that well of experience
14:08which was missing in 2022 right
14:09with Matt Patricia and Joe Judge
14:10leaving the office Bill O'Brien
14:12was leaning on two assistants who
14:13ran position rooms yeah guys that
14:15were under 30 and played defense
14:17in college Ross Douglas and Benny
14:19Sinceri you don't have any of
14:20that anymore these are
14:21professionals these are adults
14:22these are experienced guys
14:24real quick on the coaching staff
14:25real quick so I've heard again you
14:27mentioned burp rear so I'll bring
14:28him up he has been he's pounded this
14:30idea that their front office is way
14:32under man did they expand their
14:33front office as part of this do we
14:34have any news yet about the guys
14:36now working in Bravels and Elliot
14:38Wolfe I guess for now their front
14:40office is that expanded like the
14:41coaching staff was good question I
14:44love great questions in this
14:45podcast because I don't have many
14:46of them so you doing this is real
14:48help to everyone listening that
14:51process has not totally begun yet
14:53Ryan Cowden was step one but as you
14:55know most of the contracts for
14:57scouts executives directors or
14:59whatever are up in mid-may so they
15:01will move forward through the draft
15:02and like every other front office
15:04every other year they'll have some
15:06turnover then and expand and be able
15:07to hire guys who might be in Houston
15:09now who left with Nick Casario or
15:11in Tennessee with calendar maybe the
15:13Giants or whomever so that process
15:14has started a little bit it's more
15:17about as I talked about with people
15:19within the team for the story Doug
15:21Codd and I wrote last month like this
15:23is just organizational rock you need
15:24more analytics in here you need more
15:26sports science people you need more
15:28everything and so that's going to be
15:30part of the process which is going to
15:31take longer than it did to build a
15:32coaching staff but the coaching staff
15:34is finally here you um you also said
15:36you don't want to talk about the draft
15:37because it's February and honestly you
15:39were I kind of get it even though my
15:41scouting process has started but right
15:43now if you were on air your take would
15:45be you cannot convince me to trade down
15:47for number four why is that okay so I
15:49know most of you still remember it's
15:51only been about five years the Patriots
15:53playing playoff football the best of
15:55the best going head to head that's what
15:56January and February is all about I
15:58don't know what the Patriots will be
15:59back but I know if you want to make
16:01lifetime memories whether it's the NFL
16:03playoffs or later on this year the NBA
16:05playoffs or the NHL playoffs or you
16:06want to even go to a March Madness game
16:08there's only one place to go it's game
16:10time the best secondary ticket
16:12marketplace you will find for one
16:13simple reason they have a lowest

18:26don't have very many of them so I've
18:28already heard this trade down

18:38top level talent they can't afford to

18:47want to review and draft scout and get

18:52want the best player available to make

19:03early in the draft process but I also
19:05think if there's a scenario in which
19:06okay all of that is smoke shoulder

19:10great maybe there's one quarterback that
19:11goes up to Carter's gone then you have
19:14Travis hunters gone and you're stuck
19:16going Mason Graham's really good
19:18defensive tackle out of Michigan well
19:20Johnson's a good corner but they don't
19:22qualify in your minds if you're the
19:23Patriots is like blue chip elite you're
19:25one starter I trade back and get Will
19:27Campbell because then you might have a
19:29reach there and obviously the risk in
19:31trading back would be you get more
19:32assets but you might lose them going
19:34from Florida you lose the guy you want
19:36right so yeah there's a lot to balance
19:38there the argument against this would be
19:40you know there's not a ton of blue blue
19:43chip depending on your evaluation in
19:45this draft but if you someone else
19:47believes otherwise and you can move back
19:49and stockpile and get players that are
19:50still in the top 10 and then maybe an
19:52extra second that's why you might do
19:54this I've already argued ship the fourth
19:56pick to Cleveland put whatever else you
19:58need in that gift basket to get miles
20:00Garrett back and just do the deal but
20:02yeah I get there that's a totally
20:04different scenario and I will if they
20:09if they turn number four in a miles
20:10Garrett then we will I'll be okay with
20:13that that's a blue chip player a good
20:15player to have for Mike Vrabel but in my
20:17scenario Sanders and Cam Ward go in the
20:19top three that means you're guaranteed
20:20to get Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter
20:22like that is a dream scenario so I'm
20:24hopeful the quarterbacks get talked up
20:26in the next couple of months one of the
20:28both those guys go in the top three you

23:37Eagles win that same team that denied the

23:45done the same to the Chiefs and then at

23:59now and we'll see what the Chiefs do

28:32Jalen Hurts will have to throw more of
28:33these thrown really all year like the
28:35Eagles have been a run first team they
28:38have run the fewest teams in the NFL
28:39when trailing by more than six points
28:41they get a lead they run the football
28:43and they go wire to wire I think
28:45they'll have some challenges in this
28:46game means more Jalen Hurts throwing I
28:49have bet him to throw an over
28:50interception at plus 130 at some places
28:52you look at you can get him in almost
28:54eight to one to throw two interceptions
28:56so I'm sort of pointing to what I like
28:58in the game but my favorite prop bet of
29:00all the buzz I play so far Jalen Hurts
29:02over one half interception right now
29:04you're gonna tell me what you think or
29:06you want me to keep going here you're
29:07gonna grade out my boss let's pause so
29:09you can find Jalen Hurts more than that

29:32you I think the man's probably gonna get
29:33somebody else in the end zone and we'll
29:35see so that's available there prices
29:36I do like it Jalen Hurts I will say
29:39leans a little bit more risk averse when
29:42you look at all the quarterbacks out I
29:44mean just in the general universe but
29:46yeah when he gets outside the pocket and
29:49I do think the the Chiefs are going to
29:51try to flush him out as much as possible
29:52that's where you see a big drop-off in
29:54his play it's not in the pocket where
29:56he's almost as good as anybody else in
29:57the league it's outside and that I think
29:59is where you could see a little bit of
30:00trouble trying to you know fit something
30:02in where it shouldn't be through a pick
30:04and their last Super Bowl against the
30:05Chiefs as well yeah the way I see it is
30:07more pressure on him spags blitzing like
30:09crazy he's not good against the blitz
30:1116th DVOA this year against blitzing
30:13teams spags blitz is like crazy and so
30:15the chance of him that interception
30:16percentage of him is very low one of the
30:18best of the NFL like you said the more
30:19he throws the more that goes up so I'm
30:21gonna play this game to be a little bit
30:23chaotic for him and go over
30:25interception on the other side I'm sure
30:27this is somewhere on prize picks as well
30:29Xavier were the rushing yards this is
30:32five and a half in some places
30:34juiced up or six and a half I like it
30:36either way I want the over on Xavier
30:38worthy rushing yards how about this for
30:40any read head coach of the Chiefs 20
30:42straight playoff games Callahan he has
30:44given the ball to a non quarterback or
30:46non running back for a carry whether
30:48it's been a tight end or a wide receiver
30:50how about all four Super Bowls he's
30:53coached in he's given the ball to a
30:55non quarterback or running back for a
30:57carry 15 of 18 games this year Xavier
31:01worthy got a carry the one of those
31:02games by the way I'm going to take out
31:03because there was a Denver game they
31:04all sat so 15 of the 18 games worthy
31:07had a carry and he has had four
31:09multi-carry games in the last five he
31:12has emerged he's exploded late in the
31:14year he's in that circle of trust that
31:16trust tree for Andy Reid and Patrick
31:17Mahomes he's going to be utilized big
31:19time in this game Philadelphia against
31:21number one wideouts terrible DV away
31:23this year against Xavier worthy over
31:26five and a half or six and a half
31:27rushing yards spending how do you want
31:28to play it I he's gonna have a big
31:30overall game but I want the over on
31:32rushing yards more than at price picks
31:34six and a half rush yards yeah you saw
31:36me those are tremendous numbers 15 18
31:41all four Super Bowls for Andy Reid
31:42that's I don't know stop selling you
31:44sold me I like that a lot it's a
31:46worthy more than six and a half rush
31:48yards okay to stay aways okay the
31:52Saquon Barkley anytime touchdown I get
31:54it it's it's low risk he's likely to get
31:56in the end zone I'm gonna stay away from
31:58his yardage stuff in this game so I
32:00think the Chiefs are gonna be ready I
32:01think spags is the secret sauce for
32:04Kansas City in this game he's always
32:06prepared he knows they want to run the
32:07football Philadelphia he's gonna get his
32:10but we're still looking at over a
32:11hundred and something yards for rushing
32:13prop I'm not gonna but take the cheese
32:15on this you thought you had it last game
32:17right he had that big 60-year run to
32:19start the game he still went under his
32:21hundred and thirty-yard rushing prop so
32:23to me you stay away number one I'm not
32:25playing any of his yardage props for
32:27overs in this game I'm playing it it's
32:28gonna be understood in Kansas City can
32:30be ready for Barkley in this and I think
32:31I mean you look historically at the
32:33Chiefs defense it does get better
32:35against a run in the playoffs this is
32:37not like the Colts yeah you and I watch
32:39mid-2000s the Patriots just hammer them
32:41even the mid-2010s just hammer them
32:43hammer them whether it's spags or you
32:45just get more Chris Jones who's not
32:47rotating as much because these are big
32:48games you know who's gonna win his
32:50block more often than not like this is
32:52in a big linebacker level they're better
32:54against the run in the playoffs than
32:55they are in the regular season also
32:57game script could take this out of the
32:59Eagles hands if you think as I do and
33:01you read is one of the best opening
33:02script coaches and play callers in the
33:04league and the Chiefs get out to let's
33:05say a 10-0 lead it's not gonna stop the
33:07Eagles from running the ball but it will
33:09take the ball out of Barkley's hands as
33:11a rusher a little bit because they need
33:13to play catch-up they need to throw to
33:14your phone if I'm not guaranteeing the
33:16Chiefs get out to an early lead but
33:17combining that with the history of their
33:19run defense stiffening a little bit I
33:21think that's a good call as a general
33:23stay away what's another one the other
33:25this is general I'm gonna cop out on
33:26this but when you go to your sportsbook
33:28you know log on wherever you're logging
33:29on they're gonna have these pre-made
33:31special parlays like I know one of the
33:34major ones the whole section of Taylor
33:36Swift related like specials right it's
33:39like if X Y & Z happens here's the odds
33:41I I'm asking people just stay priced
33:45about yourself because what they what
33:46they've done Callahan is that because
33:48we're trying to win money we're betting
33:49on sports it's fun we're trying to win
33:51like there's also there's always like a
33:53hidden tax and some of these where the
33:54actual odds are much higher than what
33:56they put out in these pre call them
33:58pre-made picks just I would avoid them
34:01they're they're easy to hit the button
34:03on you want to have fun for a couple
34:04bucks fine but I would not go clicking
34:06through all these and betting all these
34:08pre-made because you're getting the
34:09worst number possible number one and if
34:11you keep doing that over and over again
34:13you're making it worse than yourself so
34:15the pre-made Super Bowl specials those
34:18big parlays out there that are gonna be
34:19everywhere in every sportsbook I'm just
34:22not a fan of I price your own stuff out
34:23build your own stuff and my guess is
34:25you'll get a better price overall yeah
34:27and if you do dabble you'll also find
34:29that those pre-made parlays they're
34:31trying to put right in front of your
34:32face yep better odds when you just build
34:35them yourself like there's a reason
34:37they're throwing them out there it's not
34:38because obviously there's a low rate or
34:41hit rate of success which obviously
34:42correlates to the money that you would
34:43be paid out theoretically but if you do
34:45like what they have just take a second
34:47and take a screenshot and say oh it's
34:49this this and that build it on your own
34:51the odds are often better it's just a
34:52little slimy which is kind of the whole
34:54business but to your point I've never
34:56used one of those in my life and a
34:58little bit that I dabble outside of
34:59price picks which is not often but I
35:01admit I have they can be fun I'm not
35:03saying don't play them just say I would
35:05not go that should not be your whole day
35:07is like going through and clicking
35:08because you're getting the worst odds
35:09like Callan said if you build them
35:10yourself you can probably make get
35:12better odds so take the time if you can
35:14build it out and price it out yourself at
35:16least similarly you can find it
35:18samples at the grocery store they're
35:20not doing that with stuff they know
35:21it's gonna sell they're giving you a
35:22little taste because they want you to
35:23take more of it home and off
35:24theirselves like the stuff that's good
35:26you got to go find on your own I line
35:28up and get that stuff myself for being
35:30honest all right those are great odds
35:32that's like a plus 130 and you know
35:34whatever the outlet was the other one
35:36plus or even minus 110 two longer shots
35:39okay yes I think if Philadelphia does
35:41win it's not likely but if they do win I
35:44do think an offensive player to win the
35:46Super Bowl MVP is in play because it's
35:48gonna mean somebody had multiple sacks
35:50on my homes maybe a strip sack fumble
35:52maybe a pick six to do guys like that
35:55okay what's that yeah you said I think
35:57he said offensive player but you're
35:58saying it to my men team win okay
36:00defensive player to win hand up that's
36:02on me Jalen Carter is 75 to 1 in a
36:06couple of places Nolan Smith is over 100
36:08to 1 in a couple of places and if you
36:11think Philadelphia can win and you think
36:15they got to make some plays on my homes
36:16I don't think these are crazy bets I'm
36:18gonna have some small bets on the in
36:20case I'm wrong about the game and
36:21Philadelphia does win I think one of the
36:23paths they win is their defense and one
36:24of their guys emerges in a huge standout
36:27defensive game probably at the score or
36:29get four or five sacks and really make
36:30some impact plays but Jalen Carter and
36:32Nolan Smith against the Chiefs weakness
36:34which is their offensive line which kind
36:36of stinks out loud even with buddy Joe
36:37Tooney they're kicking out the tackle
36:39they kind of stink and so to me where the
36:42bank game could be one for Phillies on
36:43the defensive line I'm gonna play a
36:45couple of long shots to win MVP on the
36:47defensive side namely Jalen Carter and
36:49Nolan Smith yeah it depends on where
36:52Tooney is too you know if they're
36:53keeping him a left tackle and I'd say
36:54this is someone who has not kept up on
36:56this reading Super Bowl content but
36:58there will be a weak link in that line
37:00and the Eagles as we know have just
37:02bodies and bodies and waves of pass rush
37:04to throw at them whether it's Carter or
37:05Nolan Smith or Millie Williams any of
37:07these guys so I think that I mean again
37:10five bucks 75 to 100 to 1 you wanted
37:13long shots you wanted long shots okay and
37:15yeah yeah no I that's what I'm saying
37:17that's what I'm saying like set it and
37:19forget it it's the old uh you watch the
37:21office didn't you yes I watched the but

37:56octopus is in a football game yes
37:59touchdown and two-point conversion
38:00court touchdown then get the two-point
38:02conversion you can bet at different
38:03sports books on either it happening yes
38:05or no I like yes at like 10 to 11 to 1
38:08because these two teams both love to go
38:09for two if you want to go longer than
38:11that Jalen Hurts is 20 to 1 by himself
38:14to score a rushing touchdown then get
38:16the tush push two-point conversion and
38:18if you want to get really nuts he runs
38:20more in the playoffs so it's not
38:22completely insane but from a homes to do
38:25it on the Kansas City side is 250 to 1
38:28at a couple of books so if you think
38:30he's going to run the ball more in the
38:31red zone they've had trouble
38:32historically with Vic Fangio's defense
38:34in the red zone a Mahone's rushes more
38:36he rushes more in the postseason
38:37already I like an octopus yes but more
38:40specifically Jalen Hurts 20 to 1 and
38:42then Patrick Mahone's 250 to 1 again

40:05last couple of days but their path to
40:08win to me is like how run the ball early
40:10have a lead and make a lot of plays on
40:13my homes well what if that changes I
40:15mentioned this earlier they run the
40:16fewest plays this year in the NFL
40:17trailing by six or more points where
40:19they get punched in the mouth early by
40:20my homes and it's a close game the
40:22fourth quarter well if it is I want my
40:24homes I don't want Jalen Hurts I want
40:27any read I don't want Nick Sirianni and
40:30there's a bunch of trends that stand out
40:31to me I'm a homes in Kansas City to that
40:33I want to mention here that sort of back
40:35up the fact that in these spots you want
40:36to back the Kansas City Chiefs 28 9 and
40:391 in his career against the spread my
40:41homes as an underdog or a less than a
40:43three-point favorite the he is 30 and
40:46for Callahan when he's at eight or more
40:48days rest straight up since 2019 like he
40:51and read team up they have time to
40:53prepare they'll be ready spags a part of
40:55that as well on the defensive side so I
40:57respect Philadelphia I think it'll be a
40:59close game in the fourth quarter I
41:01couldn't watch that fourth quarter like
41:05not like this unless I had money on my
41:07homes I would not want to have money on
41:08the Eagle so close game fourth quarter I
41:10want my homes I want Kansas City I want
41:12any read give me the Chiefs money line at
41:14minus you know 120 in most places right
41:16now I forget the spread Chiefs money
41:18line minus 120 book it I think I'm gonna
41:22go with the Eagles and I I can't blame
41:26anyone either way like make I'll put
41:27this to me on TV two weeks ago saying if
41:29we were picking the championship games
41:31and I went with Buffalo and I lost
41:32because I let the ten-year-old in my
41:33heart get a little bit of cash and put
41:34it wherever he wants and the ten-year-old
41:36as most ten-year-olds betting would do
41:37loses the money but she said I think
41:40you're an idiot if you bet against the
41:41Chiefs and I get it I could do the thing
41:44where I'm just going to continue to pick
41:46the Chiefs and believe in them and when
41:48I'm wrong I'm wrong in the same way that
41:50people took that attitude with Brady and
41:52before him Jordan but man I just fly
41:56Eagles fly I don't know like I just
41:58need this to happen I need some spice I
42:00need some variety I do think this game
42:02is going to be great I'm not going to be
42:03upset if the Chiefs win I think it'll be
42:05a great game that's what I want I can
42:07just you know man I think they're a
42:09deserving champion I think they're more
42:11flexible they brought in great coaches
42:12that's paid off they're certainly
42:14imperfect every team is and there's a
42:15way that they could lose by you know 14
42:18or 17 in this game but I just think
42:20ultimately they don't turn the ball over
42:22and you'll get one from the homes and I
42:25think it'll be close but they hold on
42:26late and maybe it is a defensive MVP I'm
42:28still thinking about that long shot I
42:29like that a lot yeah go take a look
42:31there's some big prices out there all
42:33right so you're going Philadelphia okay
42:35give me 27 23 I can I I don't feel great
42:39about it but if there's a team that I'm
42:41you know in a small way kind of rooting
42:43for again not devastated no pom-poms not
42:45anything just like yeah this would make
42:47me slightly happier all right I have a
42:50Chiefs it'd be a weird I'll give you 25 20
42:53Chiefs so I have Chiefs and the under
42:55you have Eagles and the over so we are
42:57square up against each other what is a
43:00what is the over-under most 48 and a
43:03half for 49 so you're just over you're
43:05right at 50 yeah more possession maybe
43:08overtime you know that like last year
43:10yeah that that bet is out there I
43:12forget what the odds are but there is
43:13some pretty high odds on will this game
43:15go to overtime they're two close teams
43:16again there's worse bets out there and
43:18then will this game go to overtime yeah
43:20I'm just excited very ready for this
