00:00This is our first look at the Vivo X60, which is pretty exciting because they have this new partnership with Zeiss.
00:06Now, what does this mean for their new phones? Let's find out.
00:13Good day, you beautiful people. Welcome to Issa Does Tech, where we do tech in your life, in style.
00:18The Vivo X60 is sort of the baby of that new X60 line which everyone's been buzzing about.
00:23I'm excited, you're excited, so let's get to unboxing.
00:25And in this video, we're also going to be doing a quick camera tour and some sample shots. Let's get to it.
00:32This is one big and special looking box. Let's take out the plastic to fully appreciate this.
00:42So we have that X60 branding over here. It's a little bit hollow. It says co-engineered with Zeiss.
00:48So I'm pretty excited about that because that's supposed to be good cameras.
00:52We have minimal Vivo branding on the sides. At the back of this thing, it tells me that I have the shimmer blue version. I'm excited.
01:01Ooh, that looks legit. So we have the phone here. Really nice touch on the sides there.
01:08Now, before we go to the phone, let's see what else is in the box because this is a very unique box.
01:14We have a thin case over here that almost feels like nothing.
01:19SIM tool and then paperwork.
01:23Power cord that's a USB-C.
01:25Power brick.
01:26And then we have some earbuds with an audio jack.
01:29Those extra tiny little bud things in different sizes.
01:33And finally, an audio dongle.
01:36Now, let's move on to the actual phone.
01:41So the packaging tells us that up top, there's a proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor.
01:46At the bottom, that's a fingerprint sensor.
01:48Let's take that. Ooh, that's pretty.
01:52Wow.
01:54So Vivo has been coming up with beautifully colored phone and this isn't an exception.
01:59Of course, the Vivo V20 in pink and purple is still my favorite, but this is a very pretty blue.
02:08Up top, it does say professional photography.
02:10There's one sleek looking and feeling phone.
02:13On the side, we have a volume rocker and a power button.
02:16At the bottom, speakers, USB-C port, and a SIM tray.
02:20That is a dual SIM setup.
02:22So this phone actually feels very sleek because of the curved back, but that is a flat display.
02:28Powering it up and in the meantime, you know what's coming.

02:43Right, here we go. A quick camera tour.
02:56And look, those are really nice always on display animations.

03:09Let's get to the camera tour.
03:11Now, this is pretty exciting because again, this is a Zeiss powered camera.
03:15And honestly, I'm pretty excited to see how that will work out.
03:18So under photo, we have wide.
03:21Ooh, 1x, 2x.
03:26Whoa, 20x. Look at that.
03:29And then here, we have filters.
03:32A number of different ones.
03:34Ooh, what is this light effect?
03:36Ah, that's pretty cool.
03:38Adjustable too.
03:39Different light effects.
03:40And as you can see, this is a portrait mode because my background has been blurred.
03:45And then up here, we have flash settings, HDR settings.
03:49What's this?
03:50AI scene optimization.
03:53We have micro mode, I'm thinking.
03:55So, ooh, you can do auto, turn on, turn off.
03:58Interesting.
03:59And then up here, you have framing lines, countdown, frame, and under settings.
04:04What? You can remove moles?
04:06And there is a toggle for male-friendly makeup,
04:09which is nice because the beauty mode is usually tweaked for women.
04:12So, that's cool.
04:14Now, I will say this as early as now,
04:16and this is a spiel I usually reserve for when we check out the beauty mode,
04:20but the beauty mode is cool to retouch yourself.
04:23There's nothing wrong with it as long as you use it to enhance the real you.
04:26Use it, enjoy it, but don't be ashamed of your flaws and imperfections.
04:32Everyone has them.
04:33Right, back to it.
04:34On the right, we have a video mode.
04:36So, you have wide, 1x, 2x, 10x.
04:43Cool, cool, cool.
04:44And then flash, you have standard stabilization mode, ultra stable mode.
04:50So, this is ultra stable, standard stable, and OIS and EIS disabled.
05:00On the upper right side, we can see framing lines.
05:03You can choose the resolution.
05:05You can shoot up until 4K.
05:07You can choose the frame rate.
05:08Can you do 60fps 4K?
05:12Cool, 4K 60, this thing can do.
05:14Ooh, they have the movie mode as well now.
05:18Cinematic shot, as you can see, there is a stabilization mode on here.
05:24You can do wide, 1x, 2x, up until,
05:28that's such a pretty phone, 10x.
05:31So, those black bars make everything look so cinematic.
05:35This aspect ratio, we usually think of when we think movies,
05:39there are different filters as well.
05:42And then, under more, you have a 48 megapixel shooter.
05:47You have a panorama mode, live photo mode, slow mo,
05:51and you can do 1x, 2x, up until, well, 2x.
05:55Is there a wide? No wide.
05:58And this can shoot in 1080p, 240fps.
06:04You have a time lapse mode and you can do auto up until 960x.
06:10That's for, it says here, moving stars in the night sky.
06:13So, that's nice.
06:14It gives you sort of a cheat sheet on what speed to use for certain things.
06:19It can do wide, 1x, 2x, up until, 10x.
06:24Then, there's the pro mode, which is pretty cool.
06:27You have all the different settings.
06:29You can use the different cameras on the back.
06:33So, that's for taking a photo.
06:35And yes, you can shoot raw.
06:37You also have AR stickers, which are the cutest thing.
06:41So, zooming in, look at my face.
06:44Look at those.
06:45And then, this can zoom up until 10x.
06:47No wide, though.
06:49And then, you can choose from a number of different stickers here.
06:55We also have a super moon mode.
06:58So, there's a circle.
07:00I am perfectly in that circle right now.
07:03But there's a circle and that's where the moon should be, which is pretty cool.
07:07Oh, you can zoom in this mode.
07:10Ah, so their super moon mode is not really for zooming.
07:14It's more of getting that optimized moon scene.
07:17Although, as you can see, it looks from the sample that it is a little zoomed.
07:21There is a dog scanner, always useful.
07:24What is this astro mode?
07:25Ooh, it's to get really nice nighttime star photos.
07:31So, this one needs a tripod.
07:34Maybe we'll try this later on.
07:36Let me know if you want me to try out all these cool features.
07:39There's also a pro sports mode.
07:42What does this do?
07:43There's a filter down here.
07:45I'm assuming this is like a fast shutter so that you get really nice action shots.
07:51And then, there's long exposure, which is on the other hand, a really slow shutter.
07:57So, you get photos like that.
07:59Here, it gives you different modes like flow of traffic, night graffiti, waterfalls,
08:04which again is always useful so that you know which mode to use for certain things.
08:09And then, up here, you have style.
08:11Ooh, so there are also filters.
08:12It says here it's advised to use a tripod.
08:14That A is a good div for slow shutter photos.
08:17And then, I like that.
08:20You can also record shooting process.
08:22I like this long exposure mode.
08:23It seems pretty cool and no other phone, I think as far as I remember,
08:28offers like it recording the actual process of recording that long exposure photo,
08:34which I have on occasion tried to shoot because it's pretty cool trying to see everything
08:39light up in the picture coming together.
08:41Right, let's move on to the other side.
08:44Portrait photo.
08:45There are instructions on how to do it and it says that the newly added portrait style
08:49co-designed with Zeiss taking great shots.
08:52It's now easier than ever.
08:53Okay, I'm really excited to do this because look at that.
08:56Okay, so this is the standard.
08:57This is the portrait.
08:58So, this mode is actually the highlight of this phone.
09:01You can do 1x, 2x, and then you have different styles.
09:08Ooh, that's nice.
09:10These are nice filters and then you have actual filters different from the styles.
09:17You can toggle intensity and there is a light effect,
09:22which is sort of like a portrait mode and different effects for the portrait mode.
09:26From here, you can also do a very detailed beauty mode.
09:29So, as you can see that skin tone, whitening, thin face.
09:32Okay, no whitening, but you get the idea.
09:35Very detailed.
09:36And there is, of course, the pose mode, which is basically, let me show you.
09:41As you can see, there is now an outline for this specific pose.
09:46So, this mode just shows you how to pose.
09:49It's pretty cool and it's real fun.
09:52You can also switch bokeh settings here, of course.
09:55So, you can tap to disable bokeh.
09:58You can turn it on.
10:00So, it says poor and then excellent.
10:03Ah, so excellent means there is a good bokeh.
10:06Poor means no bokeh.
10:10Ah, I love this.
10:11Okay, hearts, stars, butterflies.
10:13So, basically, when there are like lights, little tiny lights,
10:17or objects that are like a little circular in your background,
10:21it'll turn it into hearts or stars or butterflies or cherry blossoms.
10:25This is real fun once you actually shoot with it.
10:27And yeah, I will try shooting with this phone.

10:38Right, up here, we have HDR.
10:40You have AI and other settings.
10:44On the left-most side, you then have the night mode,
10:47which allows for wide, 1x, 2x, and up until 20x.
10:54And then down here, you have different filters.
10:58And as you may have noticed, the filters are different depending on the night mode.
11:02So, these, I am thinking, are filters that would work well for night mode shots.
11:06And then you have a tripod mode over here.
11:09And then, what's this?
11:10Oh, pano night mode.
11:13Really nice for sceneries.
11:15And then up here, you have the different settings.
11:18Now, selfie time.
11:20Oh, look at this.
11:22Okay, Vivos have really nice beauty modes.
11:25And they have very, very dedicated makeup modes.
11:28But we'll get to that in a hot second.
11:30Yeah, so there is that beauty mode again.
11:33And this is on night mode, mind you.
11:35You have fill light options.
11:38And then different settings.
11:41Under portrait, did you see that?
11:44So, let's do that again.
11:46Since we're on selfie mode, when I switch to any mode,
11:49it sort of shows you where the camera is so you know where to look.
11:52I like that tiny detail.
11:54Here, we have fill light options.
11:57HDR options.
11:59And then, bottom right, you have different styles.
12:04This is what I love about Vivo phones.
12:07As you can see, I now have a number of different makeup modes.
12:11And they look good.
12:13And, I mean, when you take these selfie shots,
12:16you don't really notice that they're just a filter.
12:18It's as if you're wearing the makeup.
12:20And if you're not convinced, know that you can actually toggle settings.
12:25And the best way to use this is to use as little as possible.
12:28Like, it's amazing.
12:30And then, you can also change the intensity of the makeup.
12:36Just the makeup on that filter.
12:38Then have your beauty mode again.
12:40And, just the makeup modes.
12:45Oh my god.
12:46God.
12:47And, look.
12:48You can toggle as little as like your eyebrows, your blusher, your eye makeup.
12:54Okay.
12:55Again, I have to admit.
12:57This is something that I have now been only seeing on Vivo phones.
13:03Built-in makeup filters.
13:05I mean, I've seen this on other phones before.
13:07But, Vivo keeps on doing it.
13:08And doing it well.
13:09And I love them.
13:10Gotta give them props for that.
13:12Look at that.
13:14I mean.
13:15Okay.
13:16I toggled it up just so you can see the difference.
13:18But like, yeah.
13:20These are honestly pretty useful.
13:22And again, I will have a different video actually trying out the cameras and taking photos.

13:30You then have the bokeh mode.
13:31You can turn on and off.
13:32It toggles from poor to excellent.
13:34Which still sort of makes me want to chuckle.
13:36And then, you have flash settings, HDR.
13:39You have countdown settings.
13:40And, I want to check this out.
13:43Shutter.
13:44Yes, you can do touch shutter, voice shutter, or my favorite.
13:47And you guys know this if you've seen my videos.
13:53Palm shutter.
13:54The best way to take remote selfies.
13:56And then, we have the photo mode.
13:58As you can see, that animation again.
14:00Flash settings, HDR.
14:02We have different filters and light effects.
14:06And then, selfie video.
14:08Now, you can do live beauty mode on video.
14:13You can do filters on video.
14:15And you can shoot in 1080p.
14:19And then, we go to more which is something we've checked out already.
