00:15In today's video, we're checking out Xiaomi's newly launched Redmi device.
00:20And this one has a 200MP camera with OIS.
00:22So as you can imagine, I'm excited.
00:24None other than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G.
00:29That is a very long name.
00:30But yes, folks, this phone did just launch.
00:32And in this video, we're gonna be unboxing it.
00:34We're gonna be looking at what is up with this phone,
00:36what's new with this phone, also some sample shots and a camera tour.
00:39But first, let's unbox.

01:43Now let's take a quick closer look at this phone.
01:45Obviously, we got that nice matte back.
01:48And I like how that two-toned texture thing is going on with the camera modules.
01:54At the bottom, you get your SIM tray, your USB-C port, speakers.
01:58Up top, you also get speakers.
02:00And that is, in true Xiaomi fashion, an IR blaster.
02:04On the sides, you get a volume rocker, your power button, and unlock button.
02:08And from this angle, you can see that slightly curved screen on that AMOLED display.
02:14Okay, so what's new with the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus?
02:18Here are just some of the things that I'm super excited about and I can't wait to test these out.
02:23First of all, there is a 200MP main camera on this phone.
02:27That's pretty cool because now we're seeing these cameras that used to be only reserved for flagship devices
02:32on devices like the Redmi Note series.
02:35This camera also has a bigger 1.6 aperture, which means more light comes in,
02:39which means you have better low-light shooting.
02:42And of course, for better photos, this phone does 16-in-1 tetra-binning,
02:45which means you're not shooting with a full 200MP camera, although you can if you wanted to.
02:50But what it does really is it takes all the information that that 200MP can take in
02:55and then makes one nice image that's a better image that you would have taken otherwise.
03:01Does that make sense? Basically, it's like putting in more information.
03:05You get the idea. You guys know this.
03:08And on top of all of that, something that will excite people who shoot a lot of video with their phone,
03:13this main camera has OIS.
03:15Which if you ask me, should really be par for the course for the smartphones
03:18because a lot of us shoot a lot of videos on our phones now.
03:22This phone has a total of three cameras in the back.
03:24They have an 8MP wide and a 2MP macro and a 16MP selfie camera.
03:29But obviously, the one camera I'm excited about on this device is that 200MP main shooter.
03:35Now, on the Redmi Note 13 series, this is the premium device.
03:39So you're getting that sexy curved screen ever so lightly.
03:42I personally still think that curved screens are better than the flat screens.
03:46I just feel like it's a better in-hand feel and it's just, it feels more premium to me.
03:51I mean, on this phone, it's also an AMOLED screen with 120Hz adaptive sync refresh rate,
03:55which means everything will be looking smooth on this phone.
03:58This phone also features Gorilla Glass Victus, which means you should have a more durable phone.
04:02It's IP68 rated and it's powered by a MediaTek 7200 Ultra with 5000mAh battery.
04:08That should last all day.
04:09And there's a 120W charging brick packed with the phone.
04:12Xiaomi claims 100% in 19 minutes, so I'm excited to test that out as well.
04:17Now, in the meantime, let's get to the camera tour.
04:21So let's get to the cameras.
04:23Under photos, you have wide, 1x, 2x, you get a 4x and you can zoom up until 10x.
04:32And then back to 1x.
04:34Now, you also get different filters on the right side here and there are a lot.
04:39You also get a beautify mode under photos and you can toggle intensity as well.
04:45Under portrait mode, you get that toggle for the blur, so you get an aperture of 16 or 1, which is more blurred.
04:52And there isn't any zooming in or out on this mode.
04:55You also get your beautify filter, of course, with varying intensities and different filters on portrait mode as well.
05:02We now move on to night mode.
05:04You have wide, you have 1x, 2x, you can zoom up until 10x as well.
05:12And then back to 1x.
05:14And then under video, we have wide, 1x, 2x, and you can zoom up until 6x.
05:24Back to 1x.
05:26And then you also see here that there are different filters for your video as well.
05:31And then under more, you get the options for your resolution.
05:36So, you can do 10k, 30 or 60fps.
05:39You can also do 4k and this is 10k, 30.
05:43You can do wide up until 6x and then back to 1x.
05:49Under 10k, 60fps, you can do wide up until 6x as well.
05:57And then back to 1x.
05:59So, you also have a 4k, 24fps and then you have a steady mode.
06:04Though, I will say that under steady mode, your video reverts back to 1080p.
06:09You, of course, have your 200MP shooter.
06:13Now, this is a mode because, of course, you have a 200MP camera on the back of the phone.
06:18But, of course, it uses pixel binning to create smaller but better photos.
06:22But, if you wanted to shoot 20MP photos, this is the specific mode for it.
06:27Here, you can do 1x and 2x.
06:30You also get a document scanner feature which does wide up until, wait, let's zoom in, up until 10x.
06:40And let me tell you, this document scanner feature, always useful.
06:45Under more, you have all the other fun features from Xiaomi.
06:49You, of course, get a pro mode that lets you switch out all the different settings that you have on this camera.
06:55And you can use your wide and ultra wide lenses.
06:58You also get filters on here and you can do pro video as well.
07:03Now, on to the selfies.
07:05You cannot zoom in or out under photos.
07:09Up here, you get your different settings.
07:11Of course, you have your palm shutter feature which allows you to shoot photos like this.
07:15Always my favorite feature.
07:17And then, you can toggle the HDR on and off.
07:19And you even get fun features like voice shutter.
07:23I like that.
07:24Under portrait, you can toggle the blur from an aperture of 1-16.
07:30And then, you also have video as selfie which, well, does not have a zoom in or out.
07:36But you can shoot in 1080p 30fps or, well, you have 60fps as well.
07:43Now, of course, you get a really good beautify mode on this phone.
07:48And it's very detailed.
07:50You also get different filters just like you do under photos.
