00:00I'm taking out the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro so you can see for yourself
00:03just how well these cameras perform in real-life scenarios.
00:14Good day, you beautiful people! Welcome to Issa Does Tech, where we do tech in your life, in style.
00:20Like I said, we're doing a camera vlog test on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro.
00:24Of the new Note 10 line, this phone champions a 108 megapixel main shooter
00:29with an 8 megapixel wide, a 5 megapixel telemacro, and a 2 megapixel depth sensor.
00:34Up front in that punch hole, it's repping a 16 megapixel selfie shooter.
00:38If you're new to the channel, what we're doing is we're actually
00:41using these cameras in everyday scenarios, aka me and my house these days. Stay at home.
00:48And because I asked and you guys said that you wanted to see a camera vlog test first,
00:53let's make the lenses do all the talking. Let's go!
00:57Hello, friends! Good afternoon. We're back at it again. This is...
01:02It's not answering your question. Friends has an IMDb rating of...
01:06Alexa, stop!
01:08Yeah, sorry about that. But yeah, we are doing a camera vlog test on the Redmi 10 Pro.
01:15This is 1080p and there is a beauty mode on this. Now, hmm, this is 100.
01:23I think it's a little bit too much. Let's switch it around.
01:26This is around 40. I think that's a little better.
01:29There's also a cool movie frame mode, which makes everything look so cinematic.
01:34And this is on selfie video. Now, the video with the filter and the movie mode,
01:40they downgrade to 720p. That's sort of normal on a lot of phones,
01:44that the quality downgrades once you add in effects.
01:47But for social media use, I think this is sort of okay.
01:51Also, let me know if you want me to do a social media test on this.
01:55This is now screen record. So yeah, take note that I am shooting
01:59and screen recording at the same time. The phone is able to do that.
02:03This is on selfie mode. We have AI camera,
02:06HDR settings. I'm gonna put that on automatic. And my favorite feature, palm shutter.
02:12There is also a beauty mode on here. So that's super specific, like, oh, too much.
02:19Just a little bit of beauty mode works. You guys, you know, my stand on the beauty mode,
02:24a little bit helps. Use it just like makeup. But yeah, nothing wrong with the real you.
02:29So there are also different filters here, but we're not gonna use them.
02:32Let's see what else we have here.
02:34I think this is a little bit too much. I think this is a little bit too much.
02:38There are also different filters here, but we're not gonna use that.
02:42Now, I think that's a nice photo, but the background is a little distracting.
02:47So let's try out the portrait mode. From here, you can adjust bokeh.
02:55Less bokeh, more bokeh. I think I want more.
02:58So, I mean, the cutouts look decent. Again, it's not perfect, as you can see here.
03:10But no portrait mode ever is.
03:14The different effects on portrait mode that we first saw on the Mi 11, they're all here.
03:21I still like these, like, really trippy filters, DBH. Look at that.
03:26Right, just for context, these are the rear cameras now.
03:29This is 1x and you can go up until 6x.
03:34Now, there is a wide, but once you're recording, it's not really gonna transfer.
03:38This is what wide looks on video. It can zoom in up until 2x.
03:44Then back to wide.
03:46Now, this, this is 1080p60 now. This phone can shoot on 1080p60.
03:53We were shooting on 1080p30. It can do up until 6x.
03:58And, of course, also wide on 1080p60.
04:01Now, I know what you're gonna say.
04:02You're probably gonna be like, Isa, but you're not gonna edit this video and export it in 1080p60.
04:06Why are you showing us this?
04:08Well, guys, it's because sometimes quality switches, depending on the resolution you use.
04:13So this is me showing you.
04:15Okay, wait. So this is 1080p30 because when I switch to the wide angle,
04:21the camera switched to 30fps.
04:25Let's see what 4k can do because this camera can do 4k.
04:284k now and this is how it looks.
04:31Same spot, same lighting, same everything.
04:36It can zoom up until 6x.
04:38And again, this is 4k.
04:42Hey, yeah, 1x.
04:44And then let's see if we can do 4k on wide.
04:47Right.
04:47You can't do 4k on wide because it just switched back to 1080p30fps.
04:53What you can do also is movie frame mode.
04:56And this time around, it's still on 1080p30fps.
05:01And finally, let's take some sample shots
05:04just so you see what the cameras can do before we go downstairs
05:07and shoot the dogs and other stuff in this house.
05:181080p30, ladies and gents.
05:24Cutie pie.
05:25And this is zooming it up until 6x.
05:306x.
05:31Hi.
05:33Hi, Bruce.
05:35Back to 1x, 1080p30.
05:38Now this is wide, 1080p30 that can zoom into 2x.
05:45Ah!
05:491080p60 this time.
05:51There is no wide.
05:54And this is 6x.
05:57Bruce.
05:58Hi.
06:021x.
06:04And finally, this is 4k, also no wide.
06:08But here is the zoom.
06:116x.
06:11Marn!
06:13Marnie!
06:15Okay, she does not care right now.
06:18We're now doing portrait video.
06:22Doesn't that...
06:23Okay, that's why I keep on moving because they keep on like
06:27trying to get near me and Licky.
06:30Stop!
06:401x, normal mode, steady mode on the right.
07:00This is me walking and talking now.
07:03We're gonna take a break from the dogs because they're too excited.
07:05They won't sit still.
07:06I can't take photos.
07:08Let me show you the pond.
07:10So this is the pond and let's take some photos.
07:29So this is normal video.
07:34And this is super macro video.
07:38I can even do like 2x.
07:44There.
07:45There, wow.
07:47And as a reminder as to how it looks.
07:49This is how it looks, same distance, just normal 1x.
08:08So now it's time for the low-light shooting test.
08:14But I'm not going anywhere.
08:16So this is what we're gonna do.
08:20Yup, so I have that one light on.
08:24And let's see how photos and videos will look.
08:28First off, let's do these flowers.
08:38And now, time for some night mode selfies.
08:47Okay, so this is low-light selfie video right now.
08:57So before we end this video, I want to go over a few things that I noticed about this phone.
09:02First of all, it has a 108 megapixel mode.
09:05Of course, that's because it's a 108 megapixel main shooter.
09:08Why does that matter?
09:09Basically, most phones now with high megapixel counts use pixel binning
09:14to come up with smaller but better photos.
09:16My very detailed explanation of what pixel binning is, is on this video.
09:22I'll link it down below as well.
09:23This is when I tested out Xiaomi's very first 108 megapixel camera.
09:27So check that out.
09:28So yeah, this has a 108 megapixel mode.
09:30And this is useful for when you want to shoot bigger photos.
09:33Like bigger because you, let's say, want to crop in.
09:37Now, for example, a normal shot of this bonsai can only crop in this much.
09:41But if I took a 108 megapixel shot, if I wanted to do a crop in of this flower, I can.
09:51And that end picture still looks very good.
09:54What I also found super impressive on this phone would be its super macro mode.
09:58Now, I know not a lot of people actually appreciate the macro mode.
10:02But the super macro mode on this thing, I'm pretty much impressed.
10:06All in all, I think the cameras of the Redmi Note 10 Pro lived up to its camera-centric focus.
10:12I was happy with general everyday use cases,
10:16except for when I tried to do a portrait photo of my dog, which yielded weird cutouts.
10:22But then again, that's normal with any portrait mode.
10:26There is no perfect cutout.
10:27And it did well enough for normal people shots.
10:31Another cool thing that I didn't show you guys in this vlog
10:34would be the fact that this phone has a pro mode.
10:37Now, I know that mode is not for everyone,
10:40but it's a good option to have on your shooter nonetheless.
10:43Especially for budding mobile photographers or videographers,
10:46this is very important to have on their device.
10:49I just wanted to add that this phone too has really fun camera features
10:53like the vlog feature, dual view feature, or even the clone feature.
10:58Again, these are things that I've showed you in previous Xiaomi videos,
11:01but if you want to see specifically those modes in action, let me know.
11:06And finally, because I know you guys are super curious about this,
11:09and even if this was supposed to be on a social media test,
11:12I'm gonna add this on this video anyway for more value.
11:15This is what photos and videos look like on social media.
11:18Right, so we have the iPhone 12 mini and the Mi 11 here.
11:22We're looking at the story.
11:24So this is shot on the Redmi Note 10 Pro and then uploaded to IG.
11:39Shot on the IG app.
11:41Shot on the camera app, but then uploaded to IG.
11:45I think this looks infinitely better.
11:50And that was it for our camera vlog test on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro.
11:55Let me know what you guys think about the performance.
11:57If you want to see how I use my tech on a daily basis,
12:00find me online.
12:01That's isa.
12:02And I'll see you in the next video.
12:03Bye!
12:12on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
12:13And I post real-time updates on the things that I review and shoot on TikTok.
12:18Or if you have really quick questions, I will probably be better able to answer there.
12:22So see you there.
12:23Until next time!
