00:16Today's video is all about the Xiaomi 14.
00:19Now, this phone just launched at MWC alongside
00:22the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, so it's been confirmed
00:24that this phone is going global.
00:26In this video, we're gonna be unboxing it.
00:28We're gonna check out what new features
00:30there are with this phone.
00:31We're also gonna be doing a camera tour
00:32and some sample shots.

01:24So, what is the big deal about the Xiaomi 14?
01:26First of all, this thing features a triple 50MP
01:30rear camera setup.
01:31And, of course, the cameras are co-engineered
01:33with Leica and this thing reps a Leica Sumilux lens.
01:37Supposedly, this means better low-light performance
01:40for this phone's camera.
01:41This thing also features a new sensor
01:43and all this talk about the floating telephoto
01:46camera on here.
01:47All that means is a new camera design
01:49that allows for a bigger focus range
01:51for your telephoto shooter.
01:53Of course, the Xiaomi 14 now reps Xiaomi's Hyper OS.
01:56It's powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
01:58and a 4610mAh battery with 90W charging.
02:03Right, let's take a closer look at this phone.
02:07Most notable on the Xiaomi 14 are the flat edges.
02:11I don't know, this phone feels a little boxy.
02:14Though, it also does have a nice premium feel to it.
02:17On the back, we get that camera module.
02:20It's quite a big box in there
02:23and it does have that triple 50 megapixel camera setup
02:27and of course, some Leica branding.
02:29And of course, that's still a camera bump.
02:31Around that camera bump, you get this textured detail
02:35which I think is a nice classy little touch.
02:37I really like this nice white clean color.
02:40It sort of looks and feels like porcelain.
02:43It can get, however, a little smudgy.
02:46Again, we're getting flat sides.
02:48So on the right, you get a volume rocker,
02:50your unlock button.
02:52At the bottom, you get your SIM tray,
02:54USB-C charging, and some speakers.
02:56The other two sides are also pretty clean.
02:59Now, these bumpers are silver
03:02so you get also that very clean look.
03:05I will say though that I am a fan
03:08of a little bit more curved edges.
03:10I know that this year, the trend is
03:12that we get flat sides on phones
03:15and this comment is not only directed at the Xiaomi 14
03:18but every other phone I've seen
03:20that have launched with these flat sides.
03:23I just really like the curved edges better
03:26because they have tinier hands
03:27and they just sit more comfortably in my hands.
03:30That being said though, this is, like I mentioned,
03:33a pretty clean look for a phone.
03:37Camera tour time.
03:38And of course, you have like cameras on here
03:42and you can switch between like a vibrant, like authentic.
03:45Let's go back to vibrant.
03:47And then you have wide.
03:481x, 2x, 3.2x up until...
03:53Ooh, this is zooming in far.
03:57Whoa.
03:59Wait, it's still going.
04:01How far can this zoom? That's crazy.
04:05Wait.
04:0860x.
04:09And that is like the tiny logo on the back of the phone.
04:13Um, that's crazy because then this is my camera
04:16which is behind me.
04:18Look at that.
04:19And then back to wide.
04:21You have your different filters on here.
04:24You also have beauty filters that you can toggle intensity here.
04:28You have your Google Lens.
04:31This gives you all the different settings for your camera.
04:34Let's turn AI.
04:35There's also super macro mode, your voice shutter,
04:37motion tracking, watermark.
04:40And this of course gives you a Leica watermark.
04:43On the right, you have your portrait.
04:45And as you can see, my background is already blurred.
04:48You can adjust your portrait mode intensity.
04:51And this is under standard.
04:52You have 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 90mm soft focus.
05:00We've seen this before in previous Xiaomi Leica phones.
05:03And then can you zoom in or out?
05:05Not through here.
05:06But there is a little button here with a little bust.
05:08If you tap it, you get a whole body.
05:10And then that's how you zoom in or out on portrait mode.
05:14You cannot zoom anywhere in between.
05:16And then here, you get your beauty filters and your different filters.
05:20On the right, you get a documents mode which is always useful.
05:24And then under more, you have a night mode, a 50MP mode,
05:27panorama, short films, slow motion, time lapse, long exposure,
05:31super moon, and of course a director mode.
05:33And this allows you to sort of switch between shots.
05:37You have a multi-cam setup.
05:39You can do a monitor setup.
05:41Pretty cool.
05:42And then on the other side, you have of course video.
05:47And you can shoot 4K or 8K on here.
05:51On 8K, you can shoot 24fps.
05:54And then on 4K, you can do 24, 30, or 60.
05:58You also have a steady video mode.
06:00And you press that, you get 1080p.
06:05Same as steady video pro mode.
06:08You also have a really cool teleprompter mode.
06:10So that's always useful, especially for creators.
06:13And then you have your different filters and effects here.
06:16You have a separate movie mode as well.
06:19You have a pro photo...
06:21Wait, what is the movie mode for?
06:23There's even focus tracking.
06:25That's pretty cool.
06:26EV, aperture.
06:29Ooh, different aperture set.
06:31Oh, this is the portrait video mode.
06:35See, if I toggle this, you'll get a blurred background.
06:42That's pretty cool.
06:43And then you have a pro mode.
06:44And this works for photos or videos.
06:47And now on to the selfie stuff.
06:49Of course, you don't have a selfie option on movie.
06:52On video...
06:53Hello, wait.
06:54Let's fix this framing.
06:56On video, front-facing camera, you can do 4K or 1080p.
07:014K does 60 or 30fps.
07:04You also have a teleprompter mode and a frontal sound mode,
07:07which is pretty cool.
07:08You also get your bokeh on front-facing video,
07:11beautify mode, and filters.
07:13Can you zoom in or out?
07:14No, you cannot.
07:15On photos, can I zoom in or out?
07:18Wait, I can on photos.
07:19That's pretty cool.
07:20And then, of course, you have your more detailed beautify filters
07:24and then other filters as well.
07:26And then you get that portrait mode.
07:28Look at that bokeh.
07:29And that allows you to toggle intensity
07:31and also beautify mode with different filters.
