00:11In today's video, we're unboxing one of Xiaomi's latest releases.
00:15This is the Xiaomi 12, and it's the Goldilocks device of the Xiaomi 12 series.
00:19I say Goldilocks device because it sits in between the Xiaomi 12 Pro,
00:23which is the decked-out flagship, and the cheaper Xiaomi 12X.
00:28But what can the Xiaomi 12 offer? In this video, we're gonna be unboxing this,
00:32looking at what it can offer, and also a quick camera tour with some sample shots. Let's go.

00:42Xiaomi 12 with easy access to the Google Apps you use most.

01:03We have the phone, but let's see what else is in the box.

01:1350 megapixel pro-grade main cameras, leading Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip,

01:39You have volume rockers, power button.

02:35So, oh, says here motion tracking focus when you take photos or shoot videos with moving
02:41subjects.
02:41This feature detects people, cats, and dogs.
02:45Okay, I needed the dog specifically and keeps them in focus automatically.
02:49So, let's turn this on.
02:52Motion capture.
02:53So, we are in photos.
02:54You have wide 1x, 2x, up until 10x.
03:00And then back to 1x.
03:02You have flash settings, HDR settings, AI camera.
03:06You have your different filters.
03:09You also have a beautify mode here that toggles between 0 to 100, Google Lens, and more.
03:17Ooh, settings.
03:18You have size, timer.
03:20You have a movie frame mode which if you've watched my previous camera tours with Xiaomi
03:26phones, you would know what this is.
03:28But yeah, let me tell you it's basically giving you these borders which make stuff look more
03:33cinematic.
03:33You have grid lines, super macro mode up here, tilt shift, time burst.
03:39And then on the right, you have a portrait mode.
03:42You can toggle between an aperture of 1 to 16.
03:46You have your different beautify filters.
03:49You have your different filters.
03:52And then here, you have your cinematic effects.
03:57Up here, you can toggle AI camera on or off.
03:59And then in more, you have a night mode which can do wide, 1x, 2x, up until 10x.
04:08Back to 1x.
04:10You also have, ooh, selfie night mode.
04:14You have a beautify mode on here.
04:17You have flash settings.
04:19You have night mode on video.
04:24And then you have a 50 megapixel mode.
04:26No zooming in or out.
04:28There are different filters up top here.
04:31You have a short video mode.
04:33Now, as we all know, the short video mode is basically Xiaomi's answer to people complaining
04:39that camera quality isn't optimized on Android phones.
04:42Basically, you can shoot directly using the camera app on short video mode.
04:46So this gives you 15-second clips.
04:49And from here, you can send it to your social media.
04:52It should show up here once you've signed in.
04:54Now, the short video mode is actually quite fun.
04:57You can do wide, 1x, 2x, up until 6x.
05:02But there are also different settings.
05:05Like you can switch around the speed.
05:08You have your different filters.
05:10You have a beauty mode on here.
05:12And there's even a kaleidoscope mode here.
05:15Plus, you can add background music automatically to whatever you're shooting.
05:20Like I said in previous Xiaomi videos, Xiaomi phones have so many different camera features.
05:26You have a panorama mode, a document mode.
05:29You have your vlog mode which is basically Xiaomi's video vlog templates.
05:34It just makes it easier for you to shoot more cinematic videos.
05:38So as you can see here, it has all these different templates.

06:08Right.
06:08You also have a slow-mo mode.
06:10And this allows you to zoom in up until 3x.
06:16You can do 720p or 1080p.
06:18And up until like 1920, although that's like 720p.
06:22And 1080p gives you 960fps.
06:25And yes, the slow-mo mode works on selfie cameras also.
06:29You have a time-lapse which allows you to do wide 1x, 2x, up until 6x, back to 1x.
06:38It can also do selfies.
06:40And then you can do up until 1800x faster.
06:45You have your different mood pre-filters here as well.
06:49You have your different movie effects.
06:51Again, this is a pretty cool Xiaomi feature we've seen before.
06:55And yeah, you can check out that social media test I talked about earlier.
07:00You have long exposure mode.
07:02And then your different filters for that.
07:05You have a dual video mode.
07:07And this, again, can be switched around.
07:10And you can zoom, switch it.
07:13You get the idea.
07:15There is also that clone mode which, again, can be pretty fun.
07:19So it does fun photos like this.
07:22Now, let's move on to the other side.
07:24Under video, you have flash settings.
07:27You have HDR settings.
07:29You have, what is this?
07:31Steady video.
07:32And then steady video pro.
07:35You have your different movie filters.
07:38And then you also have beautify and bokeh mode.
07:42Now, with the rear cameras, you can shoot up until 8K 24fps, 4K 30 or 60fps,
07:50and then 1080p 30 or 60fps.
07:53But you will see if we turn on some of the features, it can only do 720p.
07:59And on video, it can do wide, 1x, 2x, up until 6x.
08:04And this is 4K.
08:06And 8K allows you, well, zooming in up until 6x.
08:14And then 1080p does 6x wide, 1x, 2x, up until 6x as well.
08:22On pro mode, you can switch between wide, ultra wide, and macro.
08:27You have all the different settings.
08:29And you can also do pro mode for video.
08:32Of course, there's no selfie on pro mode.
08:34On video, selfie mode.
08:37So you have flash settings, HDR settings, different filters, different beauty modes,
08:43and bokeh.
08:43And you can shoot up until 1080p 60fps.
08:47There's also a movie frame mode.
08:49On photos, you can do beautify filters.
08:53And then even more filters.
08:55You have HDR settings up top.
08:58Portrait mode allows for you adjusting the bokeh.
09:04And then you have different beautify filters.
09:08And then you have cinematic effects on selfie.
09:10Back to more, which is what we've already covered.
