00:24The Samsung Galaxy S21 is in the house.
00:28This launched like two nights ago and I finally have it in the flesh, in the purple flesh.
00:33And yes, guys, I know there's a pink one, but I haven't been able to get my hands on
00:37that second best color.
00:39Pretty excited to actually try this phone out.
00:41So without further ado, let's get to the unboxing and camera tour.
00:46Here we go, friends.
00:47The Samsung Galaxy S21 5G.
00:52And that S is a metallic purple foreshadowing what color I have here.
00:58And this is pretty new.
01:00It's a very, very thin box.
01:03Galaxy, it says on that side, Samsung over here.
01:08Yes, I did end up getting the second best color, Phantom Violet.
01:12I still would love to see the pink though.
01:15Now, seeing that this is a very thin box, I think the unboxing should be very straightforward.

03:11I love that Samsung has been adding more color to their lines.

03:21But to have this really beautiful purple as the hero color is also a great thing.
03:27I really take that as a sign of people warming up to the idea of colorful phones being the norm.

06:25As you can see there, it has that hand with the tiny thing.
06:30That basically means it will stabilize your zoom shots.
06:35You know how when you zoom and your hands always shake and you get blurry shots?
06:41Well, this is supposed to fix that.
06:44And then on the bottom corner, that scene optimizer.
06:47That's basically the equivalent to AI on this phone.
06:53And yeah, you can also toggle the zooming in and out.
06:57And if you're focusing and holding here...
07:00Ooh, it's a party.
07:02Up here, you have settings.
07:04You have the scene optimizer, scene suggestions.
07:06And you can actually make this a shortcut when you swipe the shutter button.
07:14Also, I love this.
07:16So, this is the natural color when you take selfies.
07:19But, you see what that did?
07:22Makes you look a little more fresh.
07:26You have size settings over here.
07:28You have motion photos.
07:30Different filters whose intensities you can toggle as well.
07:35And you have my filters.
07:37I like this Samsung feature.
07:39Basically, you can save certain specific filters on here.
07:44And not only that, if you had a photo whose look you actually like,
07:50you can pick it out and whatever the filter it has,
07:54it will apply it to your photo.
07:56And you can also save that filter for future use.
07:58Very specifically useful if you're trying to curate your Instagram feed
08:02and you want a cohesive look.
08:04So, Samsung thinks about these things.
08:06You also have, of course, beauty mode.
08:10On the right side, you have video.
08:12So, you have video stabilization in the settings here.
08:17You have super steady mode.
08:20And then, you also have sizing.
08:22You can shoot square.
08:23And also shoot 8K.
08:27That is crazy.
08:28Also, you have the same filters on here.
08:32You can add your own filters.
08:34This is for video, mind you.

11:11So, like, it does this type of picture-in-picture.

11:18And then, at the bottom, you have these different previews
11:22of what using the different cameras of the phone would look like.
11:27And here is basically just the phone because it's zoomed in.
11:31So, if you tap on any of those, it basically switches to that specific camera.
11:38And also, while you're shooting, so that it's not distracting,
11:41it does, like, hide itself.
11:43And it goes back when you double-tap.
11:46See? There you go.
11:47Should be a pretty useful thing for people who shoot vlogs or videos on their phone.
11:53Right. On to the other side.
11:55You have single-take mode.
11:57So, that's 10 seconds right there.
12:00And you can make the video longer, up until 15, or as short as 5 seconds.
12:05There are different types of shots that you're going to be taking
12:07when you use the single-take mode.
12:09You don't know what single-take mode is.
12:11Basically, in the 5 seconds or 15 seconds that you take a photo,
12:17it's going to take videos, photos, create filtered shots, create crop shots,
12:23using AI to make sure that you get the best possible shot.
12:27It's such a great feature to capture fleeting moments.
12:31Instances where you can really prepare and take a photo.
12:34Just use this mode and it'll find the best shot for you.
12:37Even GIFs. It makes GIFs.
12:39Right.
12:42Selfie time. So, there is a single-take mode on selfie.
12:45And then, down here.
12:48Ooh. I didn't realize that.
12:50You can pick out which types of shots that your phone will capture here.
