00:14This phone just came in this morning, so I'm bringing it to you first thing.
00:17Even Shu here is excited to see the phone in the flesh.
00:20In this video, we're going to be unboxing the phone.
00:21We're going to be looking at what the deal is about this new release.
00:25We're also going to be doing a camera tour and some sample shots.
00:28Let's not delay, darling. Unboxing time.
00:32OPPO Reno6 5G. On the sides, we have plain branding.
00:38Up here, it also says that I have the Stellar Black version with an 8GB, 128GB configuration.
00:44Same thing on the back. With easy access to the Google Apps, you need most.
00:53That's a nice matte box.
00:56On this sleeve, we have a SIM tool. It's a nice round one in true OPPO fashion.
01:03You have some paperwork and a jelly case.
01:06Now, this is pretty interesting because look at the edges of this case. It's flat.
01:12We have the phone, but as with any unboxing, we'll check what else is in the box.
01:17There is a USB-C charging cord, a power brick, and surprise!

01:27Onto the phone, a few selling points for this new Reno.
01:30You have a bokeh flare portrait video, AI highlight video,
01:34ultra night video plus live HDR, ultra slim retro design,
01:38a 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charging capability, and a 90Hz refresh rate.
01:47Just by holding this now, I like the feel of this phone.

02:00Okay, so I have to admit that coming from last year's rainbow-like matte Reno5,
02:06I wasn't so happy about the fact that this is the black one I wanted,
02:10the better version like the rainbow type one.
02:14But hey, this looks really good too.
02:16It's not just the plain black.
02:19Like, that texture is almost like it's shiny?
02:24No, sparkly?
02:25No, it's just, it just is really matte and the light shines on it really nice.

02:41I like how the camera module is like the same color.
02:44It's almost as if it's a skin.
02:47It's part of this whole look.
02:48And yeah, those are three cameras on the back.

02:53I mean, the edges are flat.
02:57I know it sort of looks and feels familiar if you know what I mean.
03:02But also, not gonna lie, I like the feel of this.
03:06I mean, I am learning more and more that I like boxy phones.
03:10This is not as thin as the previous Rhinos but feels very nice and compact.
03:16On the right side, there is a power button.
03:18Bottom gives you speakers, USB-C port, and a SIM tray.
03:23You got some dual SIM action over there.
03:25On the other side, some volume rockers.
03:28And yeah, that's it.
03:30Let's power it up and in the meantime, you know what it is.

03:58I usually set up every phone that I test out as new
04:02but I did something different and tried to transfer from my older Oppo phone,
04:06the Find X3 Pro, to the Oppo Reno 6 5G.
04:11Oppo's phone clone did the job.
04:13I just needed to scan a QR code, pick out what I wanted to copy over,
04:17and this can include messages or your phone book.
04:20I had lunch and when I came back, it was all done.
04:23Everything was on my phone including my always-on display settings
04:27which was pretty convenient.
04:30TBH.
04:31So aside from being a 5G device, this thing has RAM expansion settings
04:36which allows you to use available ROM as virtual RAM.
04:41Pretty interesting.
04:44Right, let's do it.
04:45Camera tour time.
04:47So I love the moving wallpaper on these Oppo phones.
04:51Let's get to the camera.
04:53I may have moved it there because like you saw, we cloned this phone
04:57so I didn't have to set it up from scratch.
04:59And yeah, we have photos.
05:01We have wide, 1x, 2x, 5x.
05:06Why is it focusing on my camera?
05:0810x and up until 20x.
05:13And then you have Google Lens.
05:15You have the beauty mode.
05:17That's just a toggle from 0 to 100.
05:19Up here, flash settings, HDR settings.
05:23You have AI.
05:25You have your different filters.
05:26And on the filters, you have original,
05:29fresh, a bunch of other things.
05:33That's a lot.
05:34And then up here, you have aspect ratio, timer settings,
05:38turning on or off the 64MP shooter.
05:41So again, the main camera is a 64MP shooter.
05:45But these phones today, they use pixel binning to create smaller
05:49and in theory, better photos.
05:51So if you really want to shoot in 64MP, this is where you turn that toggle on or off.
05:56On the right, we have a portrait mode.
05:59And you have beauty mode down here.
06:02You have different cool bokeh styles.
06:05So there's AI color portrait, which you see that now.
06:09When it detects my face, you see it move
06:12because the phone is actually covering my face in the mirror.
06:15But when it does detect my face, it shows it like it colors me in.
06:19And then you have bokeh flare portrait.
06:23This is a feature I want to try.
06:25These bokeh settings sort of make you look like you're shooting
06:30via a DSLR or something like that.
06:33And then you have all other filters.
06:36Up here, you also have your bokeh settings.
06:38We've seen that before in Oppo phones.
06:40You have timer and then you have even more settings.
06:44On the right, under more, you have dual view video.
06:48And that can do 1x, 2x, 5x, up until 10x.
06:53There is a beauty mode at the lower right.
06:55And I know you can switch this around.
06:57There you go.
06:58And even change the grid around.
07:01So I can do round.
07:02Oh, and move that.
07:04Oh, nice.
07:05And I can do zooms and stuff as well, even on here.
07:11And there's also a rectangle.
07:14You also have a slow-mo mode and it can do up until 960fps.
07:20That's on 720.
07:22On 1080, you can do up until 480fps.
07:26And then you have motion detection.
07:28You can do 1x, 2x, 3x.
07:31Well, up until 3x, it seems.
07:33You have time-lapse mode.
07:351x, 2x, 5x, 10x.

07:41Doesn't seem like it.
07:42There is a hyperlapse mode.
07:44This is pretty cool.
07:45So you can shoot movie time-lapse videos like this.

07:59More and more phones are getting the movie mode.

10:59Like I always say, the beauty mode is great to use just like makeup to enhance the real you.
11:04But guys, flaws and all, that's normal.
11:07And never be ashamed of that.

11:15And this is all on night mode.
11:17On video selfie, you have flash settings.

11:35And finally, you can shoot up until 1080p.

11:41Again, the only thing I don't like is how the beauty mode settings don't carry over
11:47to the different modes.
11:49Though I have told Oppo about it.
11:52Hopefully, they do something.

12:01And then you can do aspect ratio.
12:03And under settings, you have shooting methods.
12:06Again, my favorite way to take my selfies.
