00:00Hello again. Through today, we've seen a bit more cloud and a bit more rain across some
00:04parts than we have done recently, and there is more wet, changeable weather to come as
00:09we go through this week. That's because the jet stream is going to be running across the
00:14UK, and this will be driving various features, bringing quite a bit of rain at times and
00:19also some strong blustery winds, not necessarily the weather you'd expect at this time of year.
00:25But back to the here and now, and as we go through the rest of Monday, the front that's
00:29already brought some cloud and rain across northern parts is shifting its way south and
00:32eastwards and so across southern eastern England, it is going to turn increasingly cloudy and
00:38a bit damp as we go through the night and head towards dawn on Tuesday morning. As this
00:42feature pushes its way southeastwards, there will be something a little bit clearer following
00:46in behind, so many places seeing some clear breaks in amongst the cloud and just a few
00:51showery bursts to watch out for. But it's not going to be an especially cold night.
00:56In fact, it's going to be pretty mild, especially in the towns and cities, generally staying
01:00in double figures. In fact, across parts of the southeast where we have that thicker cloud
01:05because of that lingering front, it's going to be pretty mild indeed. That lingering front,
01:09though, does mean it's going to be a grey, cloudy, damp start to the day across eastern
01:14southeastern England. There'll be some drizzly rain here eventually clearing away towards
01:18the southeast elsewhere, perhaps a greater chance of some bright or sunny spells compared
01:23to Monday for many of us, but also a few showers to watch out for and then some more
01:28showery rain feeding in across parts of Northern Ireland, western parts of Scotland and northwest
01:33England as well. Eastern parts of Scotland, northeast England and across many central
01:37southern areas. Once that drizzly, cloudy, wet weather clears away, it's actually looking
01:42largely fine here. Some sunshine around and in any sunshine not feeling too bad. Temperatures
01:46similar to Monday, really mid to high teens, perhaps low 20s, quite likely 21 or 22 Celsius
01:52towards the southeast. Through Tuesday night into Wednesday, we are going to see the cloudy,
01:58wet weather across northern parts shifting southwards. So although it's looking like
02:01a largely dry evening in the south, it is going to turn pretty cloudy and a bit wet
02:06as we go through overnight. So a fairly wet start for some of us as we wake up on Wednesday
02:11morning. But because of the unsettled weather, it is again going to be a mild start. In fact,
02:17Tuesday night looks like it could be a little bit milder than this coming night, widely
02:21here staying in double figures. Some places only dropping as low as like 14 or 15 Celsius
02:26perhaps. Through Wednesday itself then, lots of cloud, lots of rain around. Most places
02:31likely to see some rain at times and that cloud could be quite low. So we could have
02:35some hill fog, particularly across western parts could cause some localised problems.
02:39The rain doesn't look especially heavy initially, but as that first feature clears away towards
02:43the east, there is going to be a second band following in behind and this could have some
02:47heavier bursts mixed in with amongst it. But nonetheless, it is going to be quite a
02:52cloudy wet day and there could be some strong winds mixed in with this, particularly towards
02:56the northwest of the UK. It is going to be quite humid in the southeast, but generally
03:02temperatures are going to be a little bit lower than on Tuesday and feeling cooler,
03:07feeling less pleasant because of the cloud, the rain and for some of us those strong winds.
03:12Looking through the rest of the week and as we go into Thursday, this feature is going
03:16to clear its way towards the east and then we do have a relatively deep area of low pressure
03:21developing somewhere towards the North Sea and this could bring some showers and some
03:24strong blustery winds across northern parts in particular, before another area of low
03:29pressure pushes its way in from the southwest, affecting southern parts or many parts of
03:34the UK, bringing some wet and windy weather on Friday. But we will have more information
03:39on that on our YouTube channel and he has our week ahead weather video available there
03:43and do head to our website where you will find some advice on how to make sure you are
03:47weather ready with some further wet weather to come through this week. I'll see you again soon. Bye.
