00:00Hello. For many, Tuesday will be cloudier and cooler than Monday, and again, there will
00:05be a few thunderstorms around. Met Office warnings are in place. We are kind of in place
00:11between low-pressure systems at the moment. The winds are fairly light, but the low-pressure
00:16systems are starting to drift up from the south and they're going to generate more wet
00:20weather over the next few days. For many, though, it's going to be dry on Monday night,
00:25with thunderstorms fading from the west of Northern Ireland. Cloud thickening across
00:29eastern England. Some outbreaks of rain will spread in across the East Midlands, parts
00:34of East Anglia up towards Lincolnshire through the early hours. Elsewhere, most places dry.
00:38The heart may well return to the coasts across the far north-east. But for most, dry. Some
00:44decent clear spells will allow those temperatures to tumble 3 to 5 degrees in rural parts across
00:49Scotland. Further south, most of us staying in double digits. On to Tuesday. It is a messy
00:54old day. We're going to have much more cloud over the Midlands and eastern England compared
00:59to Monday. There will be some outbreaks of rain working across the North Midlands up
01:02towards Northern England, maybe into North Wales. Again, it's Northern Ireland with a
01:07big risk of some thunderstorms. But not alone. Parts of south-west England also seeing some
01:13hit and miss downpours. Wherever the downpours occur, there's the potential for local flooding
01:18and also lightning strikes that could cause some disruption. And we're looking at some
01:22further showers coming into eastern England through the afternoon. I said it was pretty
01:26messy. We'll see some brighter spells across southern and western Scotland. Some fine sunshine
01:31here. One or two scattered showers over the mountains of Scotland after a murky start.
01:36Orkney should brighten up. But the har and fret may well continue to affect some of those
01:41North Sea coasts a little further south. That will suppress the temperatures, as will the
01:45increased cloud over central parts. But a brightness will still sneak up to 20 degrees
01:51in one or two places, particularly western Scotland, maybe along the south coast. But
01:55for many, a little bit cooler than Monday. Still potential for heavy thundery showers
02:00rumbling on into Tuesday evening, particularly for Northern Ireland and south-west England.
02:05But then eyes out east as cloud and outbreaks of rain come in from the North Sea. A bit
02:10of uncertainty about the timing of this rain and how far in it extends during Wednesday.
02:16But it could be a pretty soggy day for parts of central and eastern England and a good
02:20part of Scotland. And even further south and west, some heavy showers are likely to
02:24break out during Wednesday afternoon. Again, the potential for thunderstorms here and there
02:29also. So the weather continuing to keep us on our toes through the rest of this week.
02:34Again, temperature-wise, cool on those eastern coasts, particularly with that persistent
02:38rain. A bit of brightness, we might sneak up to 20 Celsius. But generally, a little
02:43cooler and a little cloudier and turning wetter as the week goes on, particularly over eastern
02:47areas. For a full week ahead forecast and more details on the uncertainty and the track
02:52of that rain, check out our full week ahead forecast on YouTube.
