23 September - National weather forecast.
Transcript
00:00Hello, over the next 24 hours we'll see some gales across northern Scotland. Showery rain
00:05for some of us, but as we go into Thursday there will still be some warm sunshine around.
00:10Through this evening and overnight we'll have rain pushing its way southwards into northern
00:14England and Northern Ireland, eventually coming to rest across Wales. A lot of low cloud,
00:19misty and murky, and some fog across southern England where it will be chilly as we start
00:23Thursday morning. Further wet weather pushes into Scotland and some very strong winds in
00:28the north-west of Scotland, gales perhaps at times, even touching severe gale force
00:33gusts of 60 mph. Through Thursday then it will be fairly misty and murky in the south-west,
00:38some outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Further wet weather for western Scotland, but in between
00:43slices of sunshine, and warm too with highs of 23 Celsius. Those winds do ease then through
00:49Thursday evening, but we continue to see some wet weather across many western parts of Scotland.
00:54The damp weather clears at parts of south-west England and in between some clearer spells.
00:59As we look ahead to Friday in the weekend, cloudier for many of us, particularly in the
01:03west. Some rain at times too, but there will be some warm sunshine and temperatures staying
01:07above average.
