00:00Hello again and welcome to the latest weather forecast from the Met Office.

00:03There's further heavy rain to come for all of us as we move into the second part of the weekend

00:07and as well as that it will also turn very windy in places. There will however be some sunshine

00:12for some of us at times. It's the jet stream that's causing this low pressure to move towards

00:16the UK as we go through Sunday bringing a spell of very heavy rain and strong winds to many places

00:22followed by sunshine showers for Monday and it turns colder as the winds swing to a west or

00:27northwesterly direction. Back to Saturday evening though we've got some clear sky out there for many

00:32places. Winds have fallen light and it will be turning quite chilly particularly across central,

00:37eastern and northern parts of the UK. Perhaps low enough to give a touch of frost for some

00:41Scottish glens but the wind picks up in the west with this band of heavy rain coming in

00:46to Wales, the southwest and Northern Ireland. Later in the night rainfall warnings come into

00:50force and some strong to gale force winds will start to develop particularly around the coasts.

00:56Through Sunday morning that arc of heavy rain will spread its way east and north across the

01:00country bringing some torrential downpours in many places followed by brighter skies with

01:06sunshine and blustery showers. The showers most frequent across more western parts where there's

01:11a chance of thunder at times. The rain sets in across northern Scotland with a rainfall warning

01:15coming into force here and for everyone it will feel quite cold particularly in the wind

01:20with highs of just 10 to 14 degrees celsius for most places. Through Sunday evening it

01:25stays very unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain for many parts of the UK.

01:30The best of the clear sky for trickle treating will be down across more southeastern parts

01:35of the UK but for all places it stays changeable into the next week with showers but there's some

01:41sunshine in between and feeling quite cold with a chance of overnight frosts. For all the latest
