00:00Previously on The Apprentice, I invited 18 candidates to Los Angeles
00:05and made some dramatic changes to the world's toughest job interview.
00:11After each task, the winning team will live in a beautiful mansion.
00:18While the losing team will live in the yard.
00:21Intense.
00:23Woohoo!
00:28The responsibilities for winning project managers have never been greater.
00:32They will continue to lead their team until they lose.
00:36And most importantly, they will advise me in the boardroom.
00:41Heidi led her team, now known as Genetic, to their first victory.
00:45And she sat at my side in the boardroom.
00:47What did you hear about this team?
00:48I heard they didn't win.
00:49That's true. It's all about winning.
00:51Well, Frank, the losing project manager from Arrow battled to survive.
00:56You see the fire I have in myself.
00:58At this point, I'm fighting for my life to stay here.
01:00I want to prove myself to you, sir.
01:02And I stepped up, and the other candidates said that from the beginning.
01:05I think this guy's a worker.
01:06I think he's got a tremendous fire that you don't have.
01:09I have fire.
01:10Here's the problem.
01:11I think to work for me, though, it's too much nitty-gritty stuff.
01:14But that's what I do, sir.
01:15He likes a straight answer.
01:17Yes, sir.
01:18You're fired. Come on. Go.
01:21Go.
01:28I think there's more than a 50% chance that nobody else comes back to me.
01:31You think there's more than what?
01:32You think there's more than a 50% chance?
01:33I think there's more than a 50% chance that nobody comes back to me.
01:35Oh, my God.
01:36No way.
01:37That's bad news.
01:38Yes!
01:39Frankie!
01:40Yeah!
01:41Whoo!
01:42Whoo-hoo!
01:43Yes!
01:44We're happy to have you back. We really are.
01:49Frankie shoots!
01:53Wow.
01:54First off, I have to take a deep breath because
01:57tonight I experienced something that I never experienced before in my life.
02:01You want to talk about a rush?
02:02You want to talk about, like, you know, just being there?
02:06Being in the heat of the moment?
02:07Like, wanting something so bad like you've never wanted it in your whole life?
02:11I proved to Mr. Trump that I wanted this job more than anything.
02:15He saw the fire in me.
02:17He saw that I wanted to be a part of his team.
02:20And you know what?
02:21At the end of the day, Mr. Trump made an excellent decision.
02:24I'm going to prove myself to him.
02:25Now, for the first time tonight, you see who Frankie Suits is about.
02:29You show us.
02:30Listen to me.
02:31This is how we do it back at home.
02:32Number one.
02:35Frankie Suits.
02:37I think the other team is absolutely motivated to get out of those tents.
02:40A lot of those people over there are a little bit high maintenance,
02:42and I can tell they're pretty uncomfortable being in those tents,
02:44and so they're going to be out for blood to get us.
02:46You know, this is just as good as you come.
02:48First time.
02:49It's an amazing feeling, and I'm happy to be back.
03:08You're fired.
03:17Listen to me, y'all.
03:25Dollar bills, y'all.
03:46I love them all.
03:50No good, no good.
03:52Money, money, money, money, money.
03:57You're fired.
03:58You're fired.
04:15Good morning.
04:16Good morning, Connecticut Corp.
04:17Good morning, this is Andy from Mr. Trump's office.
04:19Mr. Trump would like you to meet him at Pacific Palisades Park on Ocean
04:22at Washington Avenue in Santa Monica.
04:24Be there at 830 sharp.
04:25Very good.
04:54Living in Trump trailer park is really that bad.
04:59I wouldn't implore anybody.
05:00If you think it's that bad, you try spending two weeks outside of your house.
05:04Lock it.
05:05Don't go back in there.
05:06You take everything you need outside, and you stay outside,
05:08and you live right in your lawn,
05:10and every night you'll wish you were inside sleeping on your bed.
05:14Trust me.
05:30Oh, my God.
05:46Good morning.
05:47Good morning, Mr. Trump.
05:48Welcome to your second week of your 14-week job interview.
05:52Are you all having fun?
05:54Yes.
05:55We're on Palisades Park,
05:57and we're overlooking one of the most beautiful beaches in the world,
06:01Santa Monica Beach.
06:03Now, everybody loves going to the beach, especially in California,
06:07so it's no surprise that the bathing suit business
06:11is a multibillion-dollar business.
06:13And one of the finest designers anywhere in the world of bathing suits is...
06:18Trina Turk.
06:19You will all actually design and manufacture
06:22a line of men's and women's swimwear for Trina.
06:26You'll be paired with a design consultant,
06:28hair and makeup artists, models, the works,
06:31and you'll put on a fashion show right here at the beach
06:34for prospective buyers.
06:36Trina Turk herself will actually emcee the whole fashion show.
06:40The team that makes the most money
06:42selling their swimsuits to the buyers wins.
06:45That sounds pretty exciting.
06:47Okay, to really inspire you to do your best,
06:50I'm going to do something different.
06:53Quite simply, if your team wins,
06:56you will not have to participate in a task next week.
07:00The winning team will be exempt from being fired.
07:04Losers will meet me in the boardroom where somebody will be fired.
07:09Okay? Good luck.
07:11So whoever wins this task not only gets the reward
07:15and gets to continue to sleep in the house,
07:17but they're exempt from the next task.
07:19So not only do we not lose a team member,
07:23we get to stay in the house.
07:25It's huge, huge stakes.
07:41You guys, I promise you, the next 30 hours is going to be painful.
07:45That pain that we feel won't last very long
07:48until we hear that we win the task.
07:50We will forever have the glory of winning this task.
07:531, 2, 3...
07:55I was ready to be project manager of this task
07:57because I was ready to lead this team.
07:59My leadership style is to really motivate people.
08:02That is my biggest thing, is just to make sure
08:04that everybody's so happy that they give it their all.
08:07Okay, what type of theme are we envisioning right now?
08:10Trina isn't, you know, overly sexy.
08:12You know, she isn't chic.
08:14She's just kind of fun, young.
08:16Different, upscale.
08:18I was definitely inspired right away
08:20by the idea of designing for Trina Turk.
08:22I've seen fashion shows where people design things,
08:24and I've always, like, man, that's going to be
08:26really, really cool to do someday,
08:28and this is my one opportunity to do it.
08:30This is my first design right here.
08:32This is all print around, maybe the exception of the band.
08:35You've got to be careful because the print's got to be masculine
08:38if the shorts are that small.
08:40So Kerry's got his notebook out,
08:42and he's designing different styles for the men,
08:45short, tight, trunk cuts.
08:48The men's swimsuits that Kerry wears
08:51are probably not the same men's swimsuits
08:53that most of the guys in America wear,
08:55because Kerry's gay.
08:57That was something that kind of caught me off guard.
09:00That's why I came along.
09:02I want you to give your opinion.
09:04I want to give my straight male opinion.
09:10We're going to do elastic. This is the one we go on.
09:13Two female bikinis are one color each with embellishments.
09:16What if we did something where it was like an outline, like a white...
09:19The overall theme of our design is really beachwear,
09:22but kind of, like, kicked up a notch.
09:24Come on, hot stuff, let's go.
09:26Stuff that other stores wouldn't have,
09:28but without being so ridiculous that no one would buy it.
09:30I think it's great. Yeah, I really do.
09:32I'm not thrilled. I'll tell you guys right now why.
09:34I think it looks too Ralph Lauren.
09:36I like it. I think it's classic.
09:38We're not going for classic.
09:40I don't think Heidi liked anything about the first bathing suit,
09:42which is really, I think, just her opinion.
09:44And you don't think that we could go into her store right now
09:46with that bathing suit and put together an entire ensemble
09:48and it wouldn't look fabulous? I disagree totally.
09:50It was a little tense for me and Heidi today.
09:52That was the first time for her and I that it has been,
09:54but it just is what it is.
09:56Here's my suggestion. We don't have time to change it right now.
09:58So why don't we just...
10:00Let's focus on getting the other connect done.
10:02Focus on the one piece right now, take it off, we'll go with it if we have to.
10:04Marissa's really insistent on this one,
10:06and so I'm going to let her have it,
10:08but if Marissa's swimsuit is referenced
10:10as being too plain and too mainstream,
10:12then Marissa's going to be accountable for it.
10:14I love it. I think it's great.
10:16I don't even think we should say we'll go with it if we have to.
10:18I think it's a great bathing suit.
10:20Okay, well, let's just worry about everything else.
10:30I really like this. That's the medium one.
10:34This is the main suit
10:36with white trim or anything else here.
10:38It's a trumpet skirt, just white as glass.
10:40Yeah.
10:42After working for hours, you know,
10:44and going through the design process,
10:46the first suit was ready and was made,
10:48and I got excited.
10:50Man, I, like, wow,
10:52this came from my head to paper to print,
10:54and now it's here.
10:56It was the first thing we had of our line.
10:58All right, so they're on.
11:04I like it. I do, too.
11:06This design is designed
11:08for one kind of consumer,
11:10the consumer that has a great body
11:12that's going to the beach that wants you to look at them,
11:14and I think that there is a market for that.
11:16It's so different.
11:18When I first saw the little suit,
11:20my instinct was,
11:22oh, that's a bikini bottom for a female,
11:24and I was sure it was,
11:26and then I saw Carrie wearing it,
11:28and I was like, oh, Carrie's trying to be funny wearing a female bikini,
11:30and then it hit me that that's our male suit.
11:32Is this the final product, or is this just a sample?
11:34I don't like it.
11:38I'm telling you that it's what she likes.
11:40I know you love it, but...
11:42I mean, you're really falling on deaf ears at this point.
11:44Michelle's personality is definitely isolating her.
11:46Sometimes if someone says something,
11:48if you don't agree with it,
11:50you don't really have to say anything, but that's fine.
11:52You don't agree with it, you keep going,
11:54and because Michelle doesn't have that,
11:56a lot of the guys are not connecting with Michelle.
11:58It's different consumers, different people, different buyers.
12:00Carrie, it's almost as if you're not even listening.
12:02I think Carrie pushes his ideas
12:04to the point where if you don't like it,
12:06that's too bad even.
12:08I mean, he was just going in his own direction,
12:10and he had claimed it,
12:12and that's sort of how he did it.
12:14Sometimes you have to take risks.
12:16I don't even think he consulted with Nicole.
12:18Let's talk about the final pricing decision.
12:20I'm thinking $60, and I'm thinking $65 and $75 are okay.
12:22Could we do, like, $65 and $65 and $75?
12:24I brought that back down to $60.
12:26Are we comfortable with that?
12:28A little one? That's fine.
12:30Pricing is so important in this task
12:32that I needed my team behind me.
12:34So I went around the room
12:36and asked everybody an exact number
12:38of what they think that price should be.
12:40What's your opinion, Michelle?
12:42Do you have a number?
12:44No, I don't feel comfortable doing that
12:46because, I mean, this was all on James and you,
12:48and that's what you guys are working on.
12:50Then we have these numbers.
12:52Okay.
12:54But do you not have any opinion whatsoever
12:56on what you think that should be retailed at?
12:58Yeah.
13:00Then what do you think?
13:02This was an interesting moment for Michelle
13:04to stop having an opinion.
13:06I mean, how could you knowingly
13:08that this is what is going to make or break this task
13:10not have an opinion now?
13:12It was so crystal clear
13:14that Michelle is trying to not take responsibility
13:16so it doesn't come up in the boardroom.
13:18I mean, you guys have all your research,
13:20and that's what you guys worked hours on.
13:22I know, and that's why I'm comfortable on it.
13:24I feel really, yeah.
13:26I'm comfortable on it.
13:48I want you in the show.
13:50I want you in the show, too.
13:52My feeling is I want you in the show.
13:54We wanted to make or break.
13:56We had 6 suits and 4 models,
13:58and we wanted the finale
14:00to show every garment that we had.
14:02Would we be able to have her ready by 2 o'clock?
14:04Betcha.
14:06So we decided that I would be in it
14:08and that as a project manager, Nicole would be in it.
14:10She stepped up, hey, you know what,
14:12if you can do it, Mom, I'll do it.
14:14Let's come back to you after we break the time.
14:16Hello, everyone.
14:34Welcome to Santa Monica Beach.
14:36I'm Trina Turk.
14:38We're here today to view 2 swimwear collections
14:40that were created by Arrow Corporation
14:42and Kinetic Corporation
14:44to capture the spirit of Trina Turk.
14:46So without further ado,
14:48let's begin with the collection
14:50from Kinetic Corporation.
14:54Christine is wearing a vintage one-piece halter.
14:56West Coast optimism
14:58meets mid-century nostalgia
15:00in a plunging halter suit.
15:02Ryan is wearing a turquoise board short.
15:04A modern man likes to strut his stuff,
15:06show off your sense of style
15:08and your assets.
15:10Casual and cute, this look goes from sporty
15:12to soiree in a heartbeat.
15:16Play in the surf, lie in the sand,
15:18bask in the sunshine or just chill.
15:20That's the mantra when you have
15:22a West Coast state of mind.
15:26A turquoise push-up halter.
15:28Surf and sand are a fashionista's best friend
15:30when fun and function meet
15:32in a bikini.
15:36These vibrant shorts go from the beach
15:38to the boardwalk without skipping a beat.
15:42We just kind of peeked out through the curtains
15:44and the first suit came out and I was like,
15:46oh, second suit came out.
15:48I was like, eh, I can see it.
15:50And the third one, I was like, oh, hell no.
15:52When their collection was done,
15:54I was like, we had this in the bag.
15:56All I thought was like,
15:58wow, we're moving into the mansion.
16:00Okay, so that was the collection from Kinetic Corporation.
16:06Next up we have the collection
16:08from Aero Corporation.
16:12The Ivy board short has a fun
16:14imported print, crisp and clean,
16:16fresh for summer.
16:18From San Tropez to San Vicente,
16:20this suit has it all.
16:24Valley cool and retro reminiscent,
16:26this piece appeals to all the gents.
16:28A sexy swimsuit for any beau,
16:30this piece is not for the faint of heart.
16:42Out comes Carrie.
16:44I mean, again, I'm gay,
16:46but what a shock it was.
16:48He's got nipples erect,
16:50his fiercest runway walk.
16:52Granted, the guy looked good,
16:54but literally, they needed to get a fire extinguisher
16:56on that runway because he flamed it up.
16:58I mean, on fire.
17:02A departure from the average white bikini,
17:04this suit features gorgeous
17:06turquoise accent rings and stones throughout.
17:08I like that better.
17:10Much better.
17:12Crochet and coolness typify this classic
17:14yet modern piece, with clean lines
17:16and girly sassiness.
17:18It felt absolutely amazing to walk
17:20down that runway. Takes a lot of guts
17:22to do what I did, and I have a lot of guts.
17:24That's why I'm here.
17:26Takes a lot of guts in business, and it takes
17:28a lot of guts to work for Mr. Trump.
17:30Okay, so that was the collection from
17:32Aero Corporation.
17:34I could never buy
17:36any of what Aero designed for
17:38any male friend of mine. I don't know any man who'd wear that.
17:40Put it this way, I know a lot
17:42more about Carrie than I did
17:44before. Yeah, I had too much information.
17:46Thank you all for coming
17:48today, and Mr. Trump,
17:50we have to go backstage and tally up the
17:52orders. Okay.
17:54Thank you all for coming.
17:58We worked so hard on this
18:00task, and it came down to the reaction
18:02from the buyers. This bikini right here
18:04is your number one, and this will be your number two.
18:06Were the buyers interested
18:08in being progressive and liberal
18:10with their swimsuits, or did they want something
18:12conservative and safe?
18:30Okay, you were asked to create
18:32a new line of Trina Turk
18:34swimsuits for men
18:36and women. Trina, what did you
18:38think? I think that the strongest
18:40items from both teams were
18:42the bikinis. Let me ask
18:44you the big question. We'll start with Aero.
18:46How much did Aero
18:48make? Aero sold a total of
18:50$19,616
18:52worth of swimwear.
18:54Very good. Sounds very good.
18:56Okay, how did
18:58Kinetic do? Kinetic sold a
19:00total of $20,000.
19:02$111
19:04worth of swimwear.
19:06Alright, well sit down.
19:08Okay. As you know,
19:10you'll be exempt from the next
19:12task, and that's something I've never done
19:14before. That's a big deal.
19:16Trina, that's called a big deal.
19:18It's a big deal. Now Trina, let me ask you
19:20a question. Yes. Why
19:22did Aero lose? Aero
19:24lost because their menswear wasn't
19:26as strong. Out of the three swimsuits,
19:28the buyers really only liked one, and
19:30they only spent $350
19:32on that one. Well, good try,
19:34but that was the answer, and that's what I
19:36heard. Kinetic, congratulations.
19:38Now, as your reward,
19:40you're going to travel
19:42with me to the
19:44Playboy Mansion.
19:46You're going
19:48to meet Hugh Hefner, a personal friend
19:50of mine and a great guy.
19:52Then you're going to go to a
19:54swimming pool where you
19:56will be surrounded by some of the
19:58most beautiful women in the world.
20:00That's going to be a great treat.
20:02Heidi, since you're the winning
20:04project manager, you'll lead
20:06the team once again, and more
20:08importantly, you'll join me
20:10in the boardroom and help me determine
20:12who's going to be fired.
20:14Aero, you'll keep
20:16living in tents, and you'll be heading
20:18to the boardroom where somebody
20:20will be fired.
20:22Go ahead.
20:28Hey, guys.
20:30Can you guys come together for a second?
20:32Just really quickly? I know you're both
20:34really tired.
20:36Obviously, we all know what's coming
20:38in the days to come. I am not going
20:40to be around here doing the whole
20:42politics, jockeying for both things.
20:44You know what I mean? That's not my style.
20:46So I'm not going to have any conversation
20:48with anybody about who you think should get
20:50fired, because that's just not it.
20:52That's not what it's about.
20:54We found out we lost. It was the worst feeling ever.
20:56For the first time in my life,
20:58I can really say, you know,
21:00I felt like a real
21:02sense of nausea in my stomach.
21:04I felt nauseous.
21:06It hurts in your stomach. It's like that ache
21:08that doesn't go away.
21:10It's that ache that doesn't go away.
21:12I'm so mad, I just want to spit.
21:14The reward the other team had was
21:16to go to the Playboy mansion,
21:18and we were going back to sleep outside
21:20in the cold.
21:22The cold backyard.
21:24It really
21:26sucks.
21:48Hi guys!
21:50Welcome to the Playboy mansion.
21:52Welcome!
21:54When we arrived, Bridget, Holly,
21:56and Kendra, who are Hef's girlfriends,
21:58greeted us right away.
22:00They took us to the house, which is gorgeous.
22:02It's even nicer than I thought it would be.
22:04We walk into the home,
22:06and we're overwhelmed with realizing,
22:08hey, we are at the Playboy mansion.
22:10It's a great home.
22:12Beautiful.
22:18Hello.
22:20Welcome to the Playboy mansion.
22:22I'm Hugh Hefner. Call me Hef.
22:24Thanks, Hef.
22:26We have more ladies than guys.
22:28Yes.
22:30Looks like a typical Playboy party.
22:32If you like,
22:34why don't we come on in the living room
22:36and sit down and talk a little bit.
22:38Hef is a very,
22:40very lucky man.
22:42He, you know, he can have whatever
22:44he wants in life, and he has chosen
22:46to have 3 girlfriends.
22:48I know that's pretty illegal,
22:50but nothing against the law
22:52about having more than one girlfriend.
22:54I started the magazine, as you may know,
22:56in 1953 with no money,
22:58literally no money.
23:00I had $600 that I borrowed
23:02from a local loan company.
23:04I put my furniture up as collateral
23:06and had enough money for one issue.
23:08I managed to get my hands on
23:10the now famous calendar picture
23:12of Marilyn Monroe,
23:14which became our very first playmate of the month.
23:16It was my first issue,
23:18because I didn't know
23:20there would ever be a second,
23:22and it worked out very well.
23:24We get done with our fireside chat,
23:26and the girlfriends walk us outside.
23:28They said we're going to go out
23:30for a little party by the pool,
23:32but I thought it was us
23:34having a party by the pool.
23:36Well, it was us and 30, 40 playmates.
23:38I don't know, bunnies everywhere,
23:40bouncing around,
23:42even bunnies with little ears.
23:44Oh!
24:00Hey, look who's here.
24:02Look who's here.
24:04Mr. Trump's here.
24:06Hello, everybody. How are you?
24:08Congratulations. Come on over.
24:10Wow, beautiful.
24:12Heidi, where are you, Heidi?
24:14Come on over here, Heidi.
24:16This is the team project manager.
24:18And you know this great man, right?
24:20I'm not so sure that I love this notion
24:22that Heidi continues to be project manager.
24:24What a beautiful place you have here.
24:26We're so honored to meet you.
24:28I just think that there should be
24:30opportunity for other people on the team
24:32to shine and showcase their leadership.
24:34I could have been project manager here,
24:36Christine could have been project manager,
24:38and I'm not thrilled with it.
24:42Hey!
24:56I still just feel, like, seriously, like...
24:58Something's wrong still? Yeah, yeah, of course.
25:00We're not that coherent a group, though.
25:02I kind of felt like that.
25:04Yeah.
25:06I kind of felt like we're kind of a mismatch.
25:08Not like a, you know, not like...
25:10It's just, I feel like we're a bunch
25:12of very different personalities.
25:14We don't mesh naturally in this group.
25:16There's certain types of people that I feel like
25:18I naturally just click with.
25:20And I feel like there's other types of people
25:22that I feel like, what's this person about?
25:24This is not a type of person I normally hang out with.
25:26Like who? You. You're great.
25:28I don't have friends like you.
25:30You probably don't have friends like me, you know?
25:32Mm-hmm. I don't know.
25:34Michelle's head could be on the chopping block
25:36because she was consistently not getting along
25:38with other people.
25:40If you work really hard and you do pretty well
25:42and you come damn close
25:44and you come up with a damn good product
25:46and there's no obvious screw-up,
25:48then you start going with,
25:50oh, who don't I like?
25:52Who is not creating a good team morale?
25:54I mean, I loved our team.
25:56We went through hell together,
25:58and some of us didn't like one another in moments.
26:00It's just, I'm feeling uncomfortable
26:02because it feels like there's a consensus
26:04right now with a few people,
26:06how she was acting towards them,
26:08and Michelle really realized that she needs to change
26:10how she was treating the team
26:12or that Michelle isn't going to be around for much longer.
26:14I mean, I don't want to get fired.
26:16I don't want you guys to recommend that I do.
26:18I want us to work through this.
26:20I mean, I don't want to leave.
26:22I want to work with you.
26:24I think we can have an... It's so early, you know?
26:26And if you just want to say,
26:28listen, this is what we would like you to improve upon,
26:30have me on your team.
26:32I want to work with you.
26:34We're reaching the choir,
26:36but it just sucks that it has to come
26:38to after we lose the task that comes up.
26:40Nobody's like, hey, let's work as a team
26:42before we lose.
26:44My thing, clearly, coming up to you guys tonight
26:46is I'm just really candid.
26:48You would suck to go this early.
26:50You really would.
27:04Good evening.
27:18Good evening.
27:20Mr. Trump's waiting for you in the boardroom.
27:22Thank you very much.
27:30Ladies.
27:34Ladies.
27:52Do you people just like to lose?
27:54What's wrong with you?
27:56What's wrong?
27:58We hate losing.
28:00You know why you lost?
28:02And you agree?
28:04We took a risk.
28:06What was the risk?
28:08You didn't really take a risk.
28:10You lost on men's bathing suits.
28:12The women were fine, the men were terrible.
28:14You sold $360 worth of bathing suits.
28:16In men's?
28:18Whose idea was it to do a tight suit like that?
28:20Ultimately, Kerry had chosen.
28:22He was kind of in charge of the men's bathing suits.
28:24I have a great body. I really do.
28:26I have a great, great body.
28:28I could wear that suit, Kerry,
28:30I could wear that suit. Do you understand that?
28:32Mr. Trump, come on.
28:34Well, they may be able to, but would they?
28:36Would they?
28:38Kerry, actually, you did wear the suit, no?
28:40Kerry, you felt good in that suit, right?
28:42Well, you know, it wasn't...
28:44You look good in the suit, but guys don't look as good as you, Kerry.
28:46I would have worn the suit at the bottom with the top to it.
28:48I think you did beautifully.
28:50Here's what we did.
28:52One, we knew that Trina Turk had gay consumers.
28:54The problem, though, is this task
28:56isn't about necessarily catering to the consumer.
28:58It's catering to the buyer who's going to be purchasing for the consumer.
29:00I was with the buyers watching,
29:02and they didn't want that suit.
29:04Absolutely, and I think
29:06we all kind of figured that out afterwards.
29:08These people were buying for everyone,
29:10and we tried with three different brands.
29:12We had a kind of a, you know,
29:14if you will, a gay suit,
29:16a more metrosexual masculine suit,
29:18and then again with the straight suit.
29:20So we tried to give three different looks to our buyers
29:22so they had an option to choose from.
29:24Kerry, are you gay?
29:26Yes, sir.
29:28Let me ask you a question. I've never heard of this before.
29:30You know, gay suits versus non-gay suits.
29:32But you feel that there is such a thing?
29:34Absolutely.
29:36Did you tailor this to a gay group?
29:38That suit in particular was.
29:40Now, in terms of winning overall,
29:42I would imagine that probably
29:44puts you at a disadvantage, doesn't it?
29:46That bathing suit was reflective of only your taste.
29:48Even the women didn't like it for men.
29:50No, no, no.
29:52There are very few men that could wear
29:54a suit that you wore very nicely.
29:56And you obviously felt a lot of pride in it.
29:58You wore it yourself.
30:00You loved it. You were walking down that thing.
30:02Hey, Kerry, your head was so high,
30:04you were like a Mr. Trump.
30:06You have no fear about walking down.
30:08No, no, no, no, no, no.
30:10Mr. Trump.
30:12He was doing those pecs, you know, the blah, blah, blah.
30:14Hey, Kerry, Kerry, who would you blame for the loss?
30:16I'd blame,
30:18I'd blame Michelle for the loss.
30:20Why?
30:22Because there's always
30:24this piece in the unit that is
30:26causing the mechanics not to work right.
30:28There's always that little tension
30:30that's causing people to have to
30:32catch attitude. And that's Michelle?
30:34Absolutely. Let me ask Heidi.
30:36She's living like a queen.
30:38She's got this gorgeous bedroom and this incredible mansion.
30:40You're having a good time.
30:42And they can't even wash their hair.
30:44I can't wash my hair that much either.
30:46I'm claustrophobic. I'm sleeping outside every night.
30:48I won't even go in the tent.
30:50You'll be in the Bronx very soon, don't worry about it.
30:52Okay, so Heidi,
30:54what do you think, Heidi? I would be curious to see
30:56if Michelle had any part of the design.
30:58They're saying Michelle's a lousy personality.
31:00And she's a weak link. I don't think they're blaming you
31:02for this task. You're doing great, Michelle.
31:04Go ahead. I think ultimately the project manager
31:06is in charge of making sure that
31:08the design and everything flows
31:10properly and the design wasn't to caliber.
31:12I would ask them that you go down this row and ask
31:14if anyone feels I should be fired. All right, so let's do that.
31:16Okay? Tim,
31:18if you were me, who would you fire?
31:20For the loss of this task, Kerry. Stephanie,
31:22if you were me, who would you fire?
31:24For this task, Mr. Trump, I would fire
31:26Kerry. Aaron,
31:28if you were me, who would you fire?
31:30I would fire Michelle. You would fire
31:32Michelle. Frankie?
31:34I would, we lost because
31:36of the men's line.
31:40I would fire Kerry.
31:42Kerry, if you were me, who would you fire?
31:44I'd fire Michelle. Michelle,
31:46if you were me, who would you fire? I would absolutely
31:48fire Kerry without even thinking about it.
31:50James, if you were me, who would you fire?
31:52I can't go with a popular vote, Mr. Trump.
31:54I would have to
31:56put responsibility on the
31:58project manager as well. What would you have done
32:00if you were project manager? Guarantee
32:02we would have lost. Nicole, this is not
32:04about you and this is not
32:06about that. I'm just giving an objective opinion here.
32:08If me as a leader, what would you have done if you were project manager?
32:10Nicole, you're a great motivator. You motivate and inspire me.
32:12Have you been that great enough? That's what you're saying. No.
32:14You motivated me and inspired me.
32:16What he's saying is that if Kerry made a mistake,
32:18it was your responsibility as project manager
32:20to correct that mistake.
32:22Nicole, I want you to choose
32:24two people to go outside and
32:26then you'll be coming back into the boardroom.
32:28Somebody of the three will be
32:30fired. The rest will go back
32:32to your tent. It must be
32:34terrible. It's terrible. It's not good to lose.
32:36Losing sucks.
32:38Okay, who are you going to
32:40bring back into the boardroom with you? Kerry and
32:42James.
32:44Frank, Aaron,
32:46Stephanie and Tim.
32:48You go back to your
32:50terrible, leaky, disgusting,
32:52hot tent.
32:54And Nicole
32:56and Kerry and Michelle go outside.
32:58I'll call you back in a minute. Thank you.
33:00Thank you, sir.
33:12So, Heidi, this is a tough one. What do you think?
33:14I'm curious to see if Nicole
33:16approved the designs.
33:18If she did, then I think ultimately she's
33:20responsible. Or was it just ramrodded
33:22through by Kerry? Yeah, that's what I'm curious to see.
33:24What do you think, Yvonne? I think that's what we have to
33:26determine now. They're both likable.
33:28They're both intelligent.
33:30They're both smart.
33:32They're both smart.
33:34They're both smart.
33:36They're both smart.
33:38They're both smart.
33:40I think we have to try and figure that question out.
33:42All right, let's find out.
33:44Andy, bring him in.
33:46He's ready for you back in the boardroom.
33:48Do you want to come with me?
34:04Thank you. Absolutely.
34:06Mr. Chomp, if you will,
34:08Mr. Trump, if you will, I just have one thing to say.
34:11The first thing I would say is that you are a businessman, and you take risks sometimes.
34:15And I think you can appreciate somebody taking a risk.
34:18Ultimately, I took a risk in the designs.
34:20But there is a difference between a risk and a risk that can't work.
34:25Again, the designs were approved by my team.
34:28If they didn't like them, I started over.
34:30So Michelle, is that right?
34:32No.
34:34I objected to several of his ideas.
34:36What were his ideas, Michelle?
34:38I didn't understand why the pink was the bikini.
34:41I call it the bikini.
34:42It's for a man.
34:43I had several tough questions to ask.
34:45Do men wear, and I'm wearing a pink tie, so I guess I can't say, but I don't think I'd
34:49ever wear a pink bathing suit.
34:50You know, there's a difference between a pink tie and a pink bathing suit.
34:54We did want pink in a man's suit.
34:56That was something that we did state as a group because pink is the new black, and it
34:59is stated.
35:00No, no, but pink is the new black.
35:01You know what, for a shirt or for a tie, I don't see guys walking around in pink bathing
35:05suits.
35:07But maybe like for a longer one.
35:09By the way, what does Michelle have to do with this?
35:11OK, a couple of people like her, a couple of people don't.
35:13If you ask me why Michelle is sitting here, you know, I can get over disruptiveness.
35:16I'm a team player.
35:17You're going to have some kinks.
35:19There was a point when we were coming up with the price point, and Michelle said to us,
35:23I don't feel it is right for me to make that decision.
35:26It isn't fair that I make that decision.
35:27No, no, no, you cannot be indecisive, Mr. Trump.
35:30By the way, the last time you lost because of price point.
35:33Right, but you cannot.
35:34You didn't lose this time because of price point.
35:35That's a good point.
35:36Knowing that we lost last time during price point, and this was so big to us, why would
35:39you be indecisive at that moment?
35:41So you're saying she's hedging a little bit.
35:43She didn't want to step up.
35:44Absolutely.
35:45It was a disaster.
35:46We may not have lost because of it, sir, but it was a big disaster when we were trying
35:49to establish price point.
35:51That was the only time where I could say I was pretty frustrated.
35:53Absolutely.
35:54That was it.
35:55And I'm saying if you're going to be a leader, if you're going to be the next apprentice,
35:58you have to step up and make a decision.
36:00You have to.
36:01There is no indecisiveness in this game.
36:03And I think you know that.
36:04I was not being indecisive, Carrie.
36:05It was being smart.
36:06Let me finish.
36:07It was being safe.
36:08You were like, I don't think it's fair for me to ask that question.
36:10Because I didn't really-
36:11Have any research.
36:12And neither did any of us.
36:13Who did?
36:14I didn't have any of the research.
36:15Why would I-
36:16I agree with Michelle.
36:17I think that you have a group that's delegated to do pricing, and that group is responsible
36:20for pricing.
36:21I don't think that the entire group should be responsible for pricing the suit.
36:24I would never do that on the fly like that.
36:25I think you should look at your group and see who's better at that, and make them responsible.
36:29I don't think Michelle should be in here.
36:31I would fire Carrie.
36:32I said that to you when you asked me.
36:33I have no bones about it.
36:34And you'd fire him because he just did a bad job on the suit.
36:36He just did a bad job.
36:37Ultimately, you guys approved whatever that bad job was.
36:40Again, I-
36:41Let me ask you this, Carrie.
36:42I do this because this suit is really gross, okay?
36:46I don't want to touch this up.
36:47Oh, Mr. Trump.
36:48Who would wear-
36:49That's a men's suit?
36:50Why would any man wear this suit?
36:51Mr. Trump, I explained to you, there is a marketplace for this suit.
36:52I kid you not.
36:53I wish you guys could understand me.
36:54There is a marketplace for this suit.
36:55I didn't invent this concept.
36:56Who's going to wear that suit?
36:57There are a lot of men, absolutely, that wear this suit.
36:58But is it enough of the population?
36:59Because I don't know one, maybe except you, who would wear that.
37:00When you only can design three suits, are you too narrowly targeting one specific group
37:01of people?
37:02Again, when I design, I design for a whole team.
37:03Sometimes it's going to be more Lube Universal.
37:04If you love Lube.
37:05Carrie, you know what?
37:06That suit can be worn by, like, 1% of the male population.
37:07That's a lot of men.
37:08That's a lot of men.
37:09That's a lot of men.
37:10That's a lot of men.
37:11That's a lot of men.
37:12That's a lot of men.
37:13That's a lot of men.
37:14That's a lot of men.
37:15That's a lot of men.
37:16That's a lot of men.
37:17That's a lot of men.
37:18That's a lot of men.
37:19That's a lot of men.
37:20That's a lot of men.
37:21That's a lot of men.
37:22That's a lot of men.
37:23That's a lot of men.
37:24That's a lot of men.
37:25That's a lot of men.
37:26That's a lot of men.
37:27That's a lot of men.
37:28That's a lot of men.
37:29That's a lot of men.
37:30That's a lot of men.
37:31That's a lot of men.
37:32That's a lot of men.
37:33That's a lot of men.
37:34That's a lot of men.
37:35That's a lot of men.
37:36That's a lot of men.
37:37That's a lot of men.
37:38That's a lot of men.
37:39That's a lot of men.
37:40That's a lot of men.
37:41If it wasn't right for the team, it would have been X'd, and I would have started over
37:44absolutely positively.
37:46That's how I am.
37:47I never pushed anything.
37:48I was a designer.
37:49If you did not like it, it did not go.
37:51Let me ask you this, Michelle.
37:52Do you feel that he ramrodded that down everybody's throat?
37:55I absolutely feel he ramrodded down all of our throat from the very beginning.
37:59I'm not ramrodding.
38:00Again, how can you say I ramrodded?
38:01I mean, you really like it.
38:02Look, look, even with me, you're trying to convince me that that suit sells, and I don't
38:07think it sells.
38:09That suit, I can tell you, is a loser.
38:11I think on this task, you did a horrible job.
38:14Mr. Trump, I-
38:15Kerry, I'm going to give you that suit, but I'm going to say, Kerry, you're fired.
38:32Thank you, Mr. Trump.
38:34I appreciate it.
38:35And I'll be seeing you.
38:36Thank you, Your Honor.
38:37I appreciate it.
38:42Thank you, guys.
38:43Thanks, Kerry.
38:50That's a very tough call.
38:51I think it's very tough.
38:52Because I think he's a terrific guy.
38:53But I do agree with you, and the fact that he was in charge of design.
38:57It's business.
39:02Congratulations to tonight's $10,000 Get Rich With Trump winner.
