00:00Previously on The Apprentice, 16 candidates arrived in New York to win a position as president of one of my companies.
00:08They were divided into two teams, men versus women.
00:13Each week, they are given a task and judged by my executives, George and Carolyn.
00:18For every task, they must elect a project manager who will be held partially responsible for the team's success or failure.
00:27The team that loses will face me in the boardroom where somebody has to get fired.
00:32Last week, their task was to create an advertising campaign.
00:36The women of Protege met with their client, where Jason had different plans for the men of Versacorp.
00:42We don't have time to go and meet with them. I think it's a waste of time.
00:45How do you know what to market unless you talk to the client?
00:48Tammy's advertising idea raised some eyebrows.
00:51This is the test to co-ad.
00:52And Sam's work ethic created tension within Versacorp.
00:55If this was the real world, I would have fired Sam the minute he fell asleep.
00:58The men's advertising campaign lacked sizzle, but the women's risky idea paid off.
01:04I like that swinging for the fences. I like that excitement.
01:06We're going to go with the women.
01:08But the celebration was short-lived.
01:11Being a bitch is going to be your problem. You have to live with that for the rest of your life.
01:14Shut up and stay out of my face.
01:16You threatened me. It's over.
01:18What was that you said about black people?
01:21Nothing. I am not talking to you. I am talking. If you don't like it, I don't give a f**k.
01:26Versacorp went to the boardroom for the second time,
01:29where Jason, as the project manager, was held partially responsible for his team's loss.
01:34Jason's making a lot of mistakes. He's showing a high capacity for making mistakes.
01:39Jason chose Nick and Sam and tried to make them responsible for the team's loss.
01:44What happened?
01:45I gave you one small job and you fell asleep doing it.
01:47No, I did not sleep.
01:49We're looking for somebody that's going to be an apprentice in our organization.
01:52I cannot for the life of me visualize that Sam in that type of position.
01:55I think he's going to get some company in huge trouble
01:58or he's going to take some company to a level that they never knew about.
02:01But he is not the reason that this particular event failed.
02:05But you're focusing on the fact that I didn't meet with the president personally.
02:08You have to remember.
02:09That's a big fact.
02:10It is Mr. Trump.
02:11Jason, this is a tough one. You're fired.
02:14Fourteen are left. Who will be fired this week?
02:44Money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money
03:14money!
03:20It's Nick, Jason were the ones to go, other than Sam, it's ridiculous, because Sam really
03:35weaseled his way out of this, that's the only thing I was thinking.
03:38Hey Nick!
03:39It's Nick and...
03:40Is Jason?
03:41Jason's gone.
03:42Wait, can you tell us who's gone?
03:43He just came back?
03:50Wow.
03:53Sammy's been in front of the boardroom twice, he's been in front of Trump twice.
03:58Well Trump obviously knows more than what us boys do.
04:00Old DT, he's connecting with that guy.
04:03They're eye to eye right now.
04:04They just don't get it.
04:05They just don't.
04:06Right now, I'm going to sit at the front door, and I don't care if I'm sitting here
04:13for 72 hours, I'm not moving until someone comes over here and greets me at the door.
04:21The most brilliant performance of the evening was obviously, where's Sam?
04:29When I come home, to my parents' house, I'm greeted at the door, what's going on here?
04:41Either he's incredibly brilliant, or he's half nuts, but he's still here, and he's hilarious,
04:46I love him.
04:47If anybody thinks that this wild man thing is a strategy, they should come back and join
04:54me where I live, and they will see that I haven't even begun to become a wild man.
05:01We're looking at Sam number one.
05:03The old boy never played ball with me, I can tell you that, I mean he's never lined up
05:17on the line with me.
05:18But this ain't high school anymore, boys.
05:20We are playing this game wrong, we're building up his market share right now.
05:24Trump is liking him because everybody's against him.
05:27And Trump is looking at this and going, wait a second, I'm going to give this guy a shot.
05:32The entertainment value of Sam is over.
05:35Sam's wearing on us now, and I think he's impeding our progress.
05:38If Sam Shrooby is a genius, tomorrow, Sam's the team leader.
05:45I propose that Sam be our leader to the guys, because we're going to have one of two things
05:49that's going to occur.
05:50Either he's going to lead us to a victory, or it's going to be a total failure, and then
05:53we don't have to put up with him anymore, because most likely, he won't be around.
05:57It's time for Sam to put up or shut up.
05:59Since Jesse wants to have this meeting, why don't we let her run with it to start?
06:06I appreciate if nobody would, like, say anything, I just want to get this off my chest.
06:11Jesse called a meeting because there's a lot of tension going on between Erica and Omarosa.
06:17If the fighting continues, it definitely is going to lead to the group's demise.
06:23I don't like to keep anything inside, and I want to, like, just express my feelings.
06:28Just about the Erica thing, I'm not going to have that conversation.
06:31I don't want to have a conversation.
06:32I just want to say that that was very immature.
06:35I've never in my professional life seen women yell at each other the way that this group
06:43has done in a professional environment.
06:46When we were in the airport, that pilot looked at me, and I could tell he was disgusted.
06:51I'm not saying whose fault it was.
06:53I'm not pointing fingers.
06:54I'm going to excuse myself, because if she wants to talk personally about it, she will.
06:58Omarosa, this is part of the whole discussion.
07:02You want to discuss this?
07:03We can discuss it one-on-one.
07:05I don't want to be in a group chat, because I can go around and point out problems with
07:09everybody from this group.
07:10All right.
07:11Well then, okay.
07:12Then let's go on.
07:13Let's go on.
07:15Which I'm already becoming.
07:16When you're done with this, I'm going to go.
07:18You know what?
07:19I'm really pissed off that you've never let me speak.
07:21And when I do, you speak over me.
07:23That really bothers me, Omarosa.
07:27We need to ignore conflict.
07:30Part of leadership is teamwork.
07:32The one thing I don't like about working with women is that we have a tendency to hold grudges.
07:37And I think that the advantage that men have is that they can yell, scream, get it over
07:42with, and move on.
07:59Hello?
08:00Good morning.
08:01This is Mr. Trump's office.
08:02I have the instructions for your next task.
08:05This morning, the phone rang at 6 o'clock, and one of Mr. Trump's advisors told us that
08:09we needed to be ready to go to Westchester Airport at 8 o'clock today.
08:16I don't know that I really have a strategy with this task, other than continue focusing
08:22on teamwork and unity.
08:24One of our biggest concerns is mediating conflict.
08:27I'm telling you this because I care, and I really want—
08:29But I don't—I can't tell that, Katrina.
08:31Because we sleep in the same room, yet you couldn't say to me, I had a problem with XYZ.
08:36Because I felt like you were being fake.
08:38I think being fake is waiting until I'm in front of seven women and then attacking them.
08:44I'm very nice to everybody.
08:45I get along with everybody.
08:46But that's where the fake comes in.
08:48You know why?
08:49Because I'm a good person.
08:50I am true to myself.
08:51This is where the personal attacks come in.
08:54I didn't come here to make friends.
08:55I said that from day one.
08:57And if you all stop being so freaking sensitive—
08:59I'm not sensitive, honey.
09:00You just told me.
09:01You just told me.
09:02I'm a good person.
09:03I am a good person.
09:04But what does that have to do with this?
09:05You know what?
09:06You know what?
09:07Your right's too short to be a bitch.
09:09Do you think that you're going to be successful in the business world if you make enemies with everybody that comes in front of you?
09:13I have been.
09:14I have been.
09:15Guess what?
09:16I went from the projects to the White House.
09:17How successful was that?
09:18You don't sit with the President of the United States by not being successful.
09:21I've been successful again and again and again.
09:24And it works for me.
09:27I like being a good person.
09:30You're a good bitch.
09:31If that makes me a bad businesswoman, then let it be.
09:37You're a good businesswoman.
09:38But I could go to sleep living with myself.
09:41Okay, Omarosa?
09:42And you know what?
09:43I'm going to be successful.
09:44You are successful.
09:45No, no, no, no.
09:46You are successful.
09:47And you know what?
09:48Omarosa, I'm going to—
09:49Shut up.
09:50You shut up.
09:51Don't talk to me like that.
09:52That's where this conversation ends.
09:53Don't touch me.
09:54Omarosa, I'm going to be successful upholding the highest of scruples.
09:58If Donald Trump wants somebody that will manipulate and backstab those around them to succeed,
10:05well, I think Omarosa's made it pretty clear that she will do anything to win this.
10:09Of all the women, I think Katrina is a bit naive.
10:12I feel bad for her because she really is looking to gain friends as opposed to focusing on winning.
10:18You're successful.
10:19And I'm sorry.
10:20But why do you need affirmation from me?
10:21And I'm sorry.
10:22You know what?
10:23You create problems with everybody.
10:24Guys, stop!
10:25The one thing that I'm conflicted about with our next challenge is sometimes I just look and go,
10:30what can we do to get rid of our problem?
10:33And sometimes I think that it might be worth losing to get rid of Omarosa and move on so we can make more progress.
10:43Negotiation is a very, very delicate art.
10:46Sometimes you have to be tough.
10:48Sometimes you have to be as sweet as pie.
10:50You never know.
10:51It depends on who you're dealing with.
10:53I've always said that negotiation is not really learned.
10:56It's almost innate.
10:58It's in the genes.
10:59A negotiator is born.
11:05Okay.
11:06So today we're going to be discussing more than anything else negotiation.
11:11Something that I'm very familiar with.
11:13I built an empire on negotiation.
11:16You see the little airplanes all over the place?
11:19People pay $40 and $50 million for one plane.
11:23But out in the Nevada desert, hundreds of commercial airplanes sit unused.
11:28The airline business thinks you can negotiate for one of those planes that seats 350 people for much less than $50 million.
11:38That's how I got my plane over here.
11:40Now, you're going to have a pretty tough chore.
11:44Each team will be given a list of items to negotiate for the lowest possible price.
11:49The winning team is the one that negotiates the most savings off the total retail price of those items.
11:57As always, my advisors, Carolyn and George, will be dropping in on you throughout the day to monitor your progress.
12:04Okay, it's 8.30 now.
12:06I'm off to Chicago.
12:07I'll see you guys back at the boardroom at 5 o'clock.
12:10So you've got eight hours to complete this task, and don't be late.
12:14I hate people to be late.
12:16You come back, and you do a bad job, and I'm not going to be very happy.
12:20So good luck.
12:23I think the men may have an advantage over the women with this task.
12:26They've got Troy, and they've got Sam.
12:29They've got Bui.
12:30They've got Nick.
12:31And all these guys do for a living is negotiate.
12:41I'm sorry.
12:49Elect a project manager for your team.
12:51We have elected a project manager.
12:54I was elected project manager this week.
12:57You always know you can fail when you lead.
12:59We could lose, and Donald Trump may fire me for my own team.
13:03Okay, you ready for the item?
13:05One ounce, 24-karat gold bar.
13:07One Callaway golf club.
13:09Great big Bertha II driver.
13:12Five pounds, fresh squid.
13:15Xeno Platinum cigars.
13:17A single Polaroid One instant camera.
13:20When I saw the list, I said, this is done.
13:22I was convinced we could do that.
13:24Last one, guys.
13:25You ready?
13:26Full leg wax.
13:27One team member, both legs.
13:31Oh, my God.
13:34I'll do it.
13:35My game plan really was to treat this like a football game.
13:38That was kind of the big picture game plan.
13:40Who's going to be on the field today?
13:42It's going to be Bui.
13:43It's going to be Kwame.
13:44And it's going to be Bill.
13:45And you're our cheerleader.
13:46The cheerleader, the kicker, and the coach are going to be one team.
13:50The defensive and offensive line, the running back and the quarterback are going to be another team.
13:54Sammy's like Picasso.
13:56That guy is so far left field, but he paints this colorful, disturbing picture.
14:00He just got to be able to interpret that picture.
14:03Hello.
14:05Girl.
14:06Girl.
14:07We have the group divided into tasks, just like this.
14:10Jessie's our project manager, so she decided that Erica, myself, Heidi, and Tammy would be on one team,
14:16and the other four girls were on the other team.
14:19We wanted to divide into groups, groups that would work together and get along together
14:23so there's no bickering or fighting just to get the job done.
14:26I like that we have a short task set, too.
14:28It's a lot of energy, and it's fast results.
14:32But we also have to be really, really strategic.
14:35Once we track the items down, then we'll negotiate that.
14:38Have you had a search on this thing?
14:40What are you, crazy?
14:42Yeah, I know how to search.
14:44I see something here.
14:45We were going to have one team back in the office doing all the investigative work
14:49and kind of being the advanced team, getting things ready to roll.
14:52And then we had the field team, which was myself, Bui, and Kwame.
14:55We were calling the plays, and we were going to execute the plays that they were calling.
15:11We are in Chinatown trying to negotiate the price for squid.
15:15If I can keep the ladies on time, then we'll be doing great.
15:18Would you sell us five pounds of dirty, yucky, bloody calamari for $10?
15:24Hey, Christy.
15:26Oh, wait.
15:27Would you show him your stomach and how hungry you are?
15:32What do we need?
15:33Just a few extra dollars.
15:34Show him your stomach.
15:35She's so hungry.
15:38That's cheap already.
15:40Is that?
15:41Are you sure?
15:42Because we only have nine bucks.
15:45No, we only have nine bucks.
15:55Beep.
15:57Beep.
15:58Beep.
16:07This is Canal Street.
16:09Let's stop it and look for the flag.
16:11Let's find the duck.
16:12Kwame, myself, and Bui, we went to Chinatown.
16:15We were going to get the duck.
16:16We were on our way to get the calamari.
16:18We knew we could get a cheap legwax in Chinatown,
16:20So that was gonna be one-stop shopping for us in a small radius. We could cover a lot of ground
16:26Who's this and I'm calling AI rare coins. My name is Troy and I'm looking to purchase a one-ounce 24-karat gold bar
16:35Yes, we get the cheapest. Yes
16:38What would be how would you suggest to get the cheapest price?
16:41Okay, and never never try to buy late in the day. That's what I needed to know
16:45We need to get this purchase now was a great. Thank you very much. Yes, you did
16:50guys
16:51Guys, we gotta get this purchase. Let me tell you what's going on right now. We got to go buy gold boy before noon
17:01Where do we need to go to get duck and squid?
17:06One block down
17:08Hey bill. I know for a fact that we cannot buy that gold at a good price
17:14after 1130 today
17:16Okay, then we're gonna get out of here. We're gonna head to get the gold
17:19we got down to Chinatown we started looking for the duff wax and like one other thing and
17:23We were in the process of locating that and that's when we got called away to go get the gold bill
17:29It's Nick. Do you have a pen handy?
17:31You're gonna go to 75
17:34West 47th Street, it's called all rare coins and the no
17:41Just give him the address. I'm gonna give him the phone number
17:44Give him the phone number
17:46Please don't give him the coach is telling me not to give you the phone
17:52They could quite possibly kill Sam this is ridiculous reason you don't need the phone number is because there's no reason to call
18:00I'm gonna get you to the location just in case they get lost to the cab driver. Does it know Sam? No
18:06We elected Sam to be the project manager because we wanted him to put up or shut up
18:11He had had all these grandiose visions of things and we wanted to see if he could actually put him in action and get us
18:16A victory personally, I describe his leadership style is just downright unproductive
18:20Sam
18:21Gold is a negotiable basically is based on the on the spot price that's gonna be in the market at that time
18:27But it fluctuates throughout the day. However, I don't think it was necessarily imperative for us to drop that for 15 minutes to get there
18:33I mean, it's not gonna fluctuate that much. I
18:36Don't want you to make any suggestions right now get the hell out of there
18:38We dropped three or four items that we could have made some huge margin on in Chinatown to head uptown to negotiate gold
18:45We're going back to me
18:47We should maybe we should need to ask them if we can buy there anyway, we can get 20 minutes
18:51Just you pull over phones busy. I
18:55Wouldn't I would just go I think as soon as we left Chinatown, I felt like we were in trouble
19:00Right now it's one o'clock. We need to have everything in by five
19:04We might be moving a little bit on a crunch time and we need to hurry it up
19:07This is what I want to know in five minutes. Will you have the gold bullion purchased?
19:11We can't have the gold bullion purchase in five minutes
19:13But we want to get the best price on it and if we're playing in a game bill
19:17There's a time the quarters up at something. Okay, we want to get the best price on it
19:22We want to get the best price on it. Okay, we can't have the gold bullion purchased in five minutes
19:26We're playing in a game bill. There's a time the quarters up at something. Okay, we want to get the best price on it.
19:31You have quarters up, you lose the ball, you go into the locker room.
19:33Sam! Sam!
19:35I'm saying nothing's happened. We haven't scored, we've wasted a lot of time.
19:37Sam!
19:39I really feel it's very important
19:41I'm not even sure if I care about the price of the gold anymore.
19:43You know sometimes
19:45Sam! Sam's crazy.
19:47I'm not buying anything that Sammy's selling
19:49But I just let Sammy, you know do his thing and I just keep moving.
19:51Alright bye.
19:57I know, I know.
19:59We're on the same page.
20:01We're on the same page.
20:03You wanted to see a gold bar?
20:05Yeah.
20:07You're going to pay $400.
20:09That's it.
20:13When the girls and I went in to see Michael
20:15Who owned the jewelry store
20:17He was very tough in the beginning
20:19But I saw right through him.
20:21I like you
20:23And I want this gold Swiss bar from
20:26You.
20:28So I would really like to go eat with my girlfriend
20:30So I would love $10 back.
20:32Can't do it.
20:34Come on Michael.
20:36Come on Michael, I'm starving.
20:38Come on Michael.
20:40Michael what's $10?
20:42Really nothing.
20:44You know what I almost want to say yes
20:46So you guys believe me.
20:48Michael!
20:52I need to buy
20:55One ounce, 24 karat, red Swiss, gold.
20:57$400.
20:59How much money are you going to make from this?
21:01$5.
21:03Man to man will look me in the eyes and tell me
21:05That you are going to make $5 profit out of this.
21:07Right.
21:09Straight in your eyes.
21:11That's amazing.
21:13Come on Michael.
21:15Please.
21:17Who can't? Do you want us to dance?
21:19I'll dance.
21:21Go Michael!
21:24I think it was just coercion.
21:26So I was a little disappointed.
21:28Okay.
21:30You can leave.
21:32Michael took a loss.
21:34But we made him feel good and at the end of the day
21:36We got it for the price that we wanted.
21:43I'm coming.
21:45One second.
21:47Thank you very much.
21:49Thank you Martin.
21:51He'd say that we are an embarrassment.
21:53We haven't really negotiated.
21:55We don't even have half our items and more than half the day is gone.
21:57He'd say we're all fired.
22:07Can I tell you something?
22:09What?
22:11All that needs to be done is you pass on the number to them.
22:13Just so you know.
22:15Hey Sam.
22:17I hear you're in charge.
22:19How are you doing today?
22:21Well we're going to see because the men are taking a big beating.
22:23Are you going to turn it around?
22:25We've already turned it around.
22:27I never knew you were so short.
22:29Come here.
22:31You want to shake my hand?
22:33Give me your hand.
22:35How's he doing fellas?
22:37He's taking charge.
22:39You think they maybe made you the team leader to get rid of him?
22:41That is possible.
22:43You know how that doesn't happen?
22:45If you win.
22:47That was one of the biggest moments of my life.
22:49Shaking that man's hand.
22:51He is my mentor.
22:53He just shook my hand.
22:55My sweaty hand.
22:57He got you sidetracked.
22:59I need you to sit down for 30 seconds.
23:0130 seconds is what I need.
23:03When you open your eyes we're going to be focused.
23:05And we're going to be game.
23:07But we're not going to talk about anybody shaking anybody's hand.
23:09We're not going to talk about nothing.
23:115, 4, 3, 2, 1.
23:13Let's go.
23:15Let's go.
23:27What I want to tell you is
23:29you guys asked me to call you back with some coordinates
23:31for buying the golf clubs.
23:332-1-2
23:352-2-2-2
23:37Bill, my quarterback here.
23:39We're going to take care of the Bullseye Black.
23:41You're talking too much.
23:43Would you send someone out on the football field
23:45without his uniform on with Bowie?
23:47I don't think so.
23:49If there was 20 seconds left in the game
23:51would you be yammering on like this?
23:53I think you like the boardrooms, man.
23:55You think we're going to lose?
23:57Do you really think we're going to lose?
23:59No, but I want to hurry up.
24:01Do you have the Big Bertha?
24:03Great Big Bertha.
24:05You don't carry golf clubs?
24:07Okay, great. Thanks.
24:09Hey, ma'am.
24:11Sam gave me that number.
24:13They did no research
24:15on the numbers they were feeding me.
24:17It was an awful display of teaming.
24:19When I get my legs waxed
24:21I would like to ask that my teammate Nick
24:23don't laugh at me.
24:25I'm not going to laugh at you.
24:37There's my nails right there.
24:39Where is it?
24:41My nails to the left.
24:43We like that.
24:45Hi.
24:53Yeah.
24:55Yeah, Omarosa's like so...
24:57She's on her best behavior today.
24:59She's doing a great job.
25:01I was going to take one for the team,
25:03but I didn't mind.
25:05Are you serious?
25:07Are you serious?
25:09Omarosa is a phenomenal person,
25:11but she needs to be put into a situation
25:13where she can really shine.
25:15That's the beauty of what happened.
25:17It's just funny to see that come out in her.
25:19It's just...
25:21It's incredible.
25:27I actually have newfound respect
25:29for Amy, Christy, and Jessie.
25:31I was impressed with all 3 of the ladies
25:33that were on my team.
25:35In addition, I think I made some inroads
25:37in establishing some trust with these ladies.
25:39I need to talk to y'all
25:41about getting my legs waxed.
25:43I know it sounds a little unusual,
25:45obviously, a little bit unusual for me.
25:47If I allow you ladies to go ahead
25:49and enjoy the pleasurement
25:51of me getting my legs waxed,
25:53could you guys consider that payment enough
25:55and just get it done as quick as possible?
25:57Absolutely not.
25:59Ow!
26:01That's hot.
26:05Ready?
26:15I want everybody to know
26:17that this is for the team,
26:19and that's why I did this.
26:21Oh!
26:23Oh!
26:25Oh, God.
26:27Oh!
26:29Oh!
26:35Oh!
26:49Don't go in there breathing hard, Bill.
27:01Hi! How are you?
27:03Yuki?
27:05Yes, I'm Yuki.
27:07We need to get some kind of great, great sale.
27:09I don't know what World of Golf has,
27:11what kind of discounts y'all can give us.
27:13We don't. They're very firm priced.
27:15Why is it expensive?
27:17Uh, it looks like a cutaway to, uh,
27:19looks like, uh, Chanel or, uh...
27:21Do I look like someone
27:23who would wear Chanel?
27:25If I was in here a lot,
27:27would we get some kind of discount?
27:29Perhaps.
27:31Not on that level.
27:33So how about cost plus 10%?
27:35You're making money.
27:37Yeah, cost plus 10%
27:39to our deal, yeah.
27:41For $300, you got yourself a deal.
27:43$300, I give you.
27:45Okay, there we go.
27:47We got a deal.
27:49So we gotta walk. We gotta walk.
27:51Thank you. Appreciate it.
27:53Sorry about that. Thank you.
27:55I guess most golf stores deal, so, you know...
27:57Okay. Thanks, Eric.
27:59We had let the home-based team
28:01do research on the golf club.
28:03They only wound up coming up with one place we walked in,
28:05and the guy would not budge a single cent.
28:13We literally sprinted 25 blocks
28:15to the camera store
28:17because we were so concerned
28:19with going to the loft at 5 o'clock.
28:25Hey, guys.
28:27I need you guys to run over to Davidoff.
28:29So where are you going?
28:31We are getting the camera.
28:33Okay. Do you think we're gonna win this, quarterback?
28:35I need you to go over to Davidoff
28:37and get those cigars.
28:39How far is Davidoff from Trump Tower?
28:41It's on Madison Avenue. It's close to you.
28:43Okay, listen.
28:45Call information.
28:47Are you gonna be at Trump Tower
28:49in 15 minutes?
28:51Listen, dude, we're jogging right now
28:53because traffic's so bad.
28:55How far are you gonna be at Trump Tower?
28:57Just keep running, man.
28:59You're on the field. Just stay on the field.
29:01Calm down. Don't have a heart attack.
29:03Take a deep breath and think of Troy.
29:05Do you need to talk to me right now?
29:09I'm listening.
29:13Our understanding here
29:15was that
29:17when we talked just a little while ago
29:19it was the Midwest.
29:21I know. I know.
29:23Don't stress out. Do the best you can.
29:25It's execution.
29:27Thank you, my friend. Bye.
29:31Okay. Thanks, man.
29:33Let's go to Davidoff. It's on Madison Avenue.
29:35Thanks, big man. Good luck.
29:37Okay, let's run, guys.
29:39Madison is four avenues over.
29:41I can run it. Can you hang in there, Booey?
29:43I can hang in there, but...
29:45If not, I'll catch up, boys.
29:49I would rather have my legs blackened.
29:51I think we had the harder task.
29:53Here we are. You guys here?
29:57Those were great. Thank you, sir.
29:59Davidoff is a great place.
30:01Where's his bag?
30:03Where's Troy?
30:05That is the most excruciating freaking pain.
30:11Trump Tower is right there.
30:13Where's Booey?
30:15When we finished the tasks,
30:17we all met back at Trump Tower.
30:19We had an accounting of all the receipts
30:21and the cash that was left over.
30:23No.
30:45Hello, folks.
30:47Good evening, Mr. Trump.
30:49So, George, what happened?
30:51For this task, each team had a list
30:53of ten items to negotiate
30:55for the lowest possible price.
30:57The total retail price of all of the ten items
30:59came to $1,379.33.
31:01At the end of the day,
31:03the women negotiated
31:05a savings of about 22%
31:07off the total retail price.
31:09All right, that's 22%.
31:11Carolyn?
31:13Okay, again, they had a total retail value
31:15of $1,379.33.
31:17The men did well, but were only able
31:19to negotiate a total savings of about 9%.
31:21I'm sort of getting used to this,
31:23so that means the men lost,
31:25the women won.
31:29I'm starting to think
31:31that I may never hire a man again.
31:39I'm very disappointed in you guys.
31:41All right, look, the men lost,
31:43the women won, that's that.
31:45To celebrate, here's what you're going to do tonight.
31:47You're going to have dinner
31:49at the world-famous 21 Club.
31:51Now, my father was a builder
31:53in Brooklyn and Queens.
31:55His biggest dream ever
31:57was the ability to go to the 21 Club
31:59on occasion with his friends
32:01and have dinner there.
32:03And he had one table that he loved.
32:05That's my father, Fred Trump.
32:07And you're going to have dinner tonight
32:09at the Fred Trump table at the 21 Club.
32:11So you're going to enjoy it.
32:13And you guys,
32:15as usual,
32:17I'll see you tomorrow at the boardroom
32:19where somebody has to get fired.
32:21Okay, go ahead.
32:31I am sick and tired
32:33of getting our asses
32:35handed to us.
32:37Embarrassment, buddy, is what it's called.
32:39But it shouldn't have happened.
32:41I think we may have
32:43lost the war
32:45but won some good battles.
32:47We haven't won shit, dude.
32:49And we're going to be another man down as of tomorrow.
32:51I feel miserable. It's the most degrading thing
32:53that's happened. I'm not a loser.
32:55I'm not used to losing.
32:57I've had it with these women.
32:59We will not lose again.
33:01I want to win a prize. I want to win a reward.
33:03That's what I want.
33:07Bye, beauty queen.
33:09Bye, loser.
33:11Bye, losers.
33:13You guys enjoy.
33:15Even though you won't have a good time without us.
33:23This is where Donald Trump ate
33:25when he was little.
33:27How many deals have been made at this table?
33:29How about Mr. Trump's
33:31comment about never hiring
33:33another man again?
33:35These rewards have given me such
33:37a taste of something that I've never
33:39experienced before. It is a dream.
33:41It is a fantasy of mine to live like this.
33:43I feel like it is
33:45becoming my lifestyle just because
33:47I've experienced every one of them.
33:49Number four, here we come.
33:59The mood in the suite right now
34:01for the men is
34:03a little sad.
34:05We're bummed out, I guess.
34:07We took a third loss.
34:09Every time we know we have to go on that border, it's not going to be pretty.
34:13I've got to figure out what the hell I'm going to do.
34:15You have to figure out what color you're going to stay.
34:17Oh, my God.
34:21I'm losing my mind.
34:23I do not think Sam is going home.
34:25A lot of people think Sam is going to be
34:27in there every time. This is Sam's third time
34:29in front of Mr. Trump.
34:31He's not going home. I would be shocked.
34:33I don't know what he likes.
34:35You know him the best, Sam.
34:37You've shaken his hand. You've made him laugh.
34:39I don't believe I'm going
34:41home from this boardroom
34:43because
34:45it's just not my time.
34:47The possibility is still there that I could be
34:49ousted like yesterday's newspaper.
34:51Sammy's got to do the right thing and vote the weakest link.
34:53I'm not safe.
34:55I mean, the butterflies in my stomach
34:57are absolutely different.
34:59You should have no butterflies.
35:01I think Nick
35:03could be on the chopping block if Sammy
35:05is able to pull his world-class theatrics
35:07to convince Trump that Nick
35:09gave him the information that
35:11gold traded at a certain price on the day
35:13that Sammy based his decision off of.
35:15And so, technically,
35:17he could be in the line of fire as well.
35:19Okay.
35:21Good-bye.
35:23I'm getting sick of wheeling this suitcase.
35:31Good-bye.
35:43Boy, oh boy.
35:45You know, as a man,
35:47I'm so disappointed
35:49with you guys. I don't know what's happening.
35:51George, what happened this time?
35:53I mean, this is just nuts.
35:55Sam, you were the team leader.
35:57Yes, I was. Well, I think we had a successful plan
35:59and everybody understood the plan
36:01and at the end of the day,
36:03although everyone did try,
36:05the plan was not implemented.
36:07Is it Sam's fault, do you think, fellas?
36:09Kwame? Yeah, I think it is Sam's fault.
36:11If you look at how the overall
36:13procedure broke down, we knew that
36:15the golf club had a large spread
36:17and we could negotiate. We also knew that
36:19the leg wax had a large spread
36:21and that's where we got beat on those two items.
36:23$119 on the golf club
36:25and $50 or so on the leg wax.
36:27So what did Sam do to mess you up?
36:29So we were on our way to get the leg wax.
36:31We immediately got a call around 1130 or so
36:33saying, you must go
36:35to buy the gold now before noon.
36:37Gold is not going to change based on whether
36:39you buy it before noon or not. And also,
36:41there's not a lot of margin in it.
36:43And we said that. We still got, look, you know,
36:45we did our research. You've got to leave
36:47Chinatown now and go get the gold.
36:49The problem with the golf clubs is we were furnished
36:51two numbers. The second number we called,
36:53the store didn't even carry golf clubs.
36:55So we're sitting here looking at each other.
36:57What kind of backup?
36:59Wait a minute. And we were kind of,
37:01that's when we were kind of perplexed.
37:03This is the number, this is the address you gave us
37:05to go buy the golf club.
37:07I called the store and they said,
37:09we're sorry, we don't even carry golf clubs, sir.
37:11Nick, do you think Sam's a leader?
37:13I think he displayed leadership
37:15qualities during the task.
37:17Whether or not I would have made the same
37:19decisions, I'm not quite sure.
37:21Do you guys think Sam's a leader?
37:23And here's why Sam's not a leader.
37:25When we have to all, the rest of the team, tell Sam
37:27calm down. Stay calm, Sam.
37:29Stay calm. That's not showing the shine
37:31of a good leader. What about you, Kwame?
37:33I think he's already shown some success,
37:35but in your role, no, I don't think he'd be capable.
37:37I think it actually comes down to
37:39respect. If I had had respect,
37:41true respect. Did they not respect
37:43you, Sam? Not everyone.
37:45Who did not respect you? Kwame
37:47and Bowie. Do you respect Kwame?
37:49I respect everyone at this
37:51table. I have not earned the full
37:53respect of everyone at the table. That's for sure.
37:55I would say that's probably
37:57the most true statement
37:59that you've made. And I can't lead
38:01until I have that respect. They can't make an
38:03assessment. But you have to get the respect. I do.
38:05You have to earn it, and if you don't earn it, you have to demand it.
38:07Right. And you know what? Yesterday
38:09I could have demanded it better.
38:11And that's what I'm learning. But I am
38:13a leader. But they don't respect you, Sam.
38:15So look, Sam, you choose
38:17two people who you think
38:19were at fault for your
38:21continuous defeat. I mean, it's
38:23crazy what's going on here. I feel
38:25confident that the two people
38:27who most led to
38:29this defeat are
38:31Kwame and Bowie. I thought you were
38:33going to say that. That was obvious, Sam.
38:35You didn't choose Nick because he was nice
38:37to you. But Bowie and Kwame
38:39were critical, so you chose them.
38:41Okay, Sam, Kwame,
38:43and Bowie, wait outside.
38:45The other three, Nick, Bill, and Troy,
38:47go up to your suite.
38:49You guys go outside. Come back in in a little while.
38:51I'm going to discuss this. Thank you.
39:05I think Sam is a total disaster.
39:07The whole team made mistakes.
39:09My personal feeling is that he's
39:11the bad factor, as long as he's there.
39:13I think he's a disruptive influence. I'd be curious
39:15to see how the team does when he's gone.
39:17I came in there with a big word.
39:19I had a piece of paper, and it was
39:21respect, and I actually thought
39:23you all did respect me, and I think you do
39:25to some degree. What makes you...
39:27I said I didn't respect you. I'll tell you that to your face.
39:29You didn't there. I'll tell you that to your face.
39:31What makes you think we didn't respect you?
39:33No, I think you... What is that?
39:35I have respect for everyone.
39:37That's why I take that personally.
39:39Okay, and I'm sorry.
39:41Alright, let's go.
39:43Let him in. Okay, Mrs. Chomp.
39:45You can go back in now.
39:47Okay.
39:49Okay, guys, I just want you to know.
39:51It's a loss, whatever happens.
39:53Not at all.
40:03You know, two of you are going up
40:05on the elevator to the
40:07famous suite, and one is going
40:09down on the elevator to the street.
40:11And you tell me,
40:13Kwame, why you shouldn't be going down
40:15on the elevator. I shouldn't be going down
40:17on the elevator because I did not make a critical
40:19judgment error to go after gold versus
40:21negotiating the clubs, and also,
40:23if I need to go home because I don't respect
40:25Sam, then I need to go home.
40:27What do you think, Bowie?
40:29I think I should be going up to the suite and not
40:31going home because Sam's proven
40:33that he is not successful
40:35as a follower in this team, and he's also
40:37not successful as a leader.
40:39What do you think, Sam?
40:41I think
40:43that if I can earn
40:45truly, 100%
40:47earn the respect. Isn't that just rhetoric?
40:49I mean, you keep saying that.
40:51Isn't it over, Sam?
40:53I hope not. Isn't it really over?
40:55Is what over?
40:57It's over. Don't you think it's over?
40:59I mean, not just these two guys, just everybody.
41:01They just don't seem to have it.
41:03You are going to see great successes
41:05from the men. Well, you know, I hope I'm going to
41:07really see great successes from you, Sam,
41:09but no longer with us.
41:11You're fired. I have no
41:13choice. You're fired.
41:15Hey, for two weeks, you've been
41:17on the edge. You know that. But now
41:19we have to go. You're fired, Sam.
41:27All right, so you guys go up. Sam,
41:29you go down, and we'll see.
41:31Thank you for your time.
41:35Go ahead, Sam.
41:47Good luck,
41:49gentlemen.
41:51Sam is a crash and burn. He's got to be careful
41:53because he's a wild man.
41:55That was too obvious.
41:57That's the first easy decision we've had.
41:59That was one of our easy decisions.
42:01Yeah, I think we can call it a night now.
42:31On an all-new
42:43Apprentice, Sam is history.
42:45How will the group deal with their
42:47heartbreak?
42:49The men are a lethal
42:51weapon right now because they don't have Sam.
42:53And for their next task, they'll manage
42:55a Times Square restaurant. Good luck.
