00:00Israeli army attacks southern Lebanon as part of an offensive that has killed at least 275
00:15people so far.
00:20Colombia requests a security summit with Venezuela and Mexico to warn about Israeli software
00:25Pegasus aimed at spying on Presidents Nicolás Maduro and Gustavo Petro.
00:30And in Latin America, several countries face devastating forest fires.
00:36Brazil's Amazon and Pantana region registered their worst records in two decades.
00:48Hello welcome from the south, I'm Luis Alberto Matos from Televiso Studios in Havana, Cuba.
00:53We begin with the news.
01:11Israeli occupation forces killed at least 275 people in new air strikes against southern
01:15Lebanon.
01:16Local media reported that occupation troops carried out this Monday new air raids against
01:20several Hezbollah resistance military centers as part of the escalation of hostilities.
01:23It is one of the most intense air raids in almost a year against the Lebanese resistance
01:28movement, which have also left more than 1,025 wounded.
01:32However, Israeli leaders promised harsher actions in the coming days.
01:35The Lebanese Ministry of Health warned that the death toll and wounded are mostly women
01:41and children, and also affirmed that at least 300 targets, including civilian areas, have
01:46Meanwhile, the Lebanese Information Minister Siad Makkari denounced on Monday the Israeli
01:56genocide of war on his country.
02:01The continuing Israeli aggression on Lebanon is a war of extermination in every sense of
02:05the word and a destructive plan aimed at destroying Lebanese villages and towns and eliminating
02:11green areas.
02:13On Sunday night, the Lebanese Islamic Resistance Movement, Hezbollah, stated that it launched
02:17five new attacks against military positions located in territories illegally occupied
02:21by the Israeli army.
02:23Through several statements, the Shiite militia specified that it attacked the military posts
02:27of al-Baghdadi, Mayad, Buruj, and Raider systems installed in the Sheba farms, Lebanese territories
02:33illegally occupied by Israel.
02:35Hezbollah declared that its attacks, which caused material damage and injuries, were
02:39in response to the Zionist occupation's incursions into southern Lebanon and in solidarity with
02:43the Palestinian resistance in Gaza and the West Bank.
02:52And on Monday, Israeli Occupation Forces Spokesperson Daniel Hagari assured to go on the Israeli
02:56offensive at the Bekaa Valley regardless what this might take the lives of innocent civilians.
03:04Today, for the first time in this manner, we have warned the residents of Lebanon, and
03:10I am warning now the residents of the Bekaa Valley, ahead of a targeted and large-scale
03:15strike that we will carry out in the Bekaa Valley.
03:19Our mission is to return the residents of the north to their homes in safety, and we
03:23will do whatever is necessary to achieve this.
03:27The Israeli Occupation Forces committed a new world crime by attacking an honor school
03:30sheltering displaced persons in the center of the Gaza Strip.
03:34On Sunday, army helicopters dropped a shelling, which hit the upper floor of the Khaled bin
03:39al-Walid school in Nusrat Refugee Camp.
03:42The airstrike killed at least three civilians, including a five-year-old girl, and injured
03:45several people.
03:46The Israeli troops were quick to justify the aggression by claiming that the school was
03:50being used by Hamas as a non-command center.
03:53Over 500 educational facilities have been stricken in the Gaza Strip since October 23,
03:58when the Sardinian regime waged a genocidal war in the devastated Palestinian enclave.
04:08We heard an explosion and ran, and found the room on fire, and started screaming.
04:18And people came.
04:22And we entered the room and found something horrific.
04:26Mujahid, his wife, and their five-year-old daughter, all in pieces.
04:34Palestinian authorities denounced the detention of over 10,000 civilians in the occupied West
04:39Bank by the Israeli Occupation Forces since October 2023.
04:43Several organizations defending the rights of Palestinian prisoners claim that Tel Aviv
04:46troops have been conducting constant detention operations in various governorates of the
04:51occupied West Bank.
04:52The information backed by Palestinian authorities that further assures the Zionist regime commits
04:56abuses, aggressions, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to vandalism
05:01and destruction of citizens' homes.
05:03According to data from these entities, the Israeli Genocidal Forces have arrested over
05:0710,800 people since October 7, 2023.
05:16In other news, the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad issued a general amnesty for
05:20all those who have committed crimes and infractions before September 22, with a four-month deadline
05:25for disorders.
05:27Announced by the Syrian President, this general amnesty of legislative nature seeks to offer
05:31an opportunity for reintegration to those who have violated the laws and includes, in
05:36turn, the crimes of escape contemplated in the military penal code.
05:40The amnesty is extended to army disorders, both those inside and outside Syrian territory,
05:45and they are granted a four-month period in which to invoke the law and return to the
05:49country without fear of retaliation.
05:52Certain crimes, considered as serious attacks against society and the state, are excluded.

06:15Welcome back.
06:31On Monday, the government of Colombia requested a security summit with Venezuela and Mexico
06:35to debate on the risks posed by the Israeli software Pegasus and the scope of espionage.
06:40Israeli-Colombian Senator Antonio Correa reported that the Pegasus spy software, purchased for
06:44$11 million by the government of Ivan Duque from Israel, aims at destabilizing progressive
06:49governments such as Venezuela and Mexico.
06:51Pegasus, developed by the Israeli corporation Eneso Group, has become a high-level espionage
06:56tool capable of infiltrating mobile devices in an almost imperceptible way.
07:01President Gustavo Pedro described the acquisition of the spy software as a serious violation
07:05of the privacy of citizens, so an investigation was initiated to determine whether crimes
07:10were committed in this alleged espionage operation or not.
07:20I believe that information must be urgently shared among brotherly countries so that we
07:29can determine who was the person or entity that took the $11 million in financial transactions
07:35and cash to Israel.
07:40Because this issue cannot be forgotten, and it cannot be said that because we did not
07:44find legal traces, then there was no spyware.
07:52The Supreme Court of Justice of Venezuela requests as preventive measure of deprivation
07:56of liberty against the President of Argentina, Javier Meney.
08:00The Statement reads,
08:01The Cassation Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice informs the following,
08:05The Court of First Instance in Control Functions of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas, in pursuant
08:09of the request made by the Public Prosecutor's Office on September 18, 2024, in which it
08:14states,
08:15The Statement follows by quoting,
08:17We formally request to decree the preventive detention measures based on the investigation
08:22followed against the natural persons of the citizens Javier Gerardo Meney, in his capacity
08:26as President of the Republic of Argentina, Karina Elizabeth Millet, in her capacity as
08:30General Secretary of the Presidency of the Republic of Argentina, and Patricia Boric,
08:35in her capacity as Minister of Security of the Nation of the Republic of Argentina, for
08:40the crimes of unprevented theft, legitimization of capital assimilation of punishable acts,
08:45illegitimate deprivation of liberty, illicit interference in the operational security of
08:49civil aviation, utilization of aircraft and association in accordance with the provisions
08:54of the substantive criminal forms.
08:56It closes quotations and ends by stating,
08:58Agreed as requested.
09:10And in Bolivia, the Defender of the People's Office made a new call for dialogue in the
09:14context of the mobilizations that are heading towards the city of La Paz.
09:17The Defender of the People's Office invited the President of Bolivia, Luis Arce, and former
09:22President Abel Morales, to establish dialogue.
09:24The Bolivian authorities also ratified a willingness to meet and avoid confrontations.
09:29Rubén also emphasized that he has already invited Abel Morales on two occasions to hold
09:33talks, to resolve differences without harming the welfare of the people.
09:37This occurs after last September 20th, when Arce did not accept Morales' invitation to
09:41talk in a march, while the former President was absent from a meeting called by the Bolivian
09:45Executive at the Ministry of Education headquarters.
09:47They have spoken of civil war and the shedding of blood in the streets.
10:01This expresses intentions that exceed our norms of peaceful coexistence and even conceal
10:07a political position of sedition that no government will tolerate.
10:13Our government, to this day, has responded to these provocations with a call for dialogue.
10:19We have always been convinced that it is still possible to find positive solutions to conflicts
10:25despite our differences.
10:28President Arce took the opportunity to reiterate his government's willingness and decision
10:32to accept the invitation of the Defenders of the People.
10:38Despite the environment of confrontation that has been generated, the government ratifies
10:43its decision to summon you and the dedication of those accompanying you, within the framework
10:48of mutual respect, to hold a dialogue on the aspects that have already been answered in
10:53writing by our government.
10:56We accept the summons of the Defenders of the People.
10:59Let's have a dialogue with our conditions in the facilities of the Defenders' office.
11:04Finally, the Bolivian head of state indicated that he would not allow a civil war to take
11:08place and that he would rely on compliance with the law to resolve this complicated situation.
11:17We will not fall into that game and, on the contrary, we will act as the current legal
11:22instruments and the political constitution of the state require us to do.
11:27A civil war, as one of your operators says, is precisely what the internal and external
11:34enemies of our plurinational state of Bolivia want.
11:38To offer it again to imperialism, we will not allow it.
11:41For there to be civil war, at least two antagonistic fronts are needed, and that is a pleasure
11:48we will not give you.
11:49Our bet is for peace, and it is possible to conquer it today on the basis of dialogue
11:56and rigorous compliance with our current regulations.
12:00The Ecuadoran government announced a week of power outages from Monday to Sunday in
12:04several time slots despite the initial plan of an eight-hour blackout for four days a
12:08week.
12:09In a press release, the Minister of Energy and Mines, Antonio Gonsalves, expressed that
12:14it is necessary to redistribute power outages planned for the next couple of days.
12:18The Ecuadoran population mainly posted on social media to criticize the government's
12:22decision to warn at night of the changes in the outage program.
12:25The country has been facing blackouts since the end of 2003 due to the lack of maintenance
12:30to the networks, the failure to comply with plans to increase electricity generation,
12:34as well as corruption problems and a serious drought affecting hydroelectric plants.

14:24to the places that have spread to other localities such as Coxinga, La Granja, and San Marcos

14:36part of the diversity of the region's native forests and burned some 12,000 hectares.

14:50armed forces helicopters in the affected regions.
14:52The Bolivian Air Force reported that they currently have three heavy aircraft with a
14:56total discharge capacity of 30,000 liters per mission as part of the new phase of the
15:01Guardian air mitigation plan.
15:03Operations concentrated on Sunday in the Monteverde area as a prioritized region to safeguard
15:07the population.
15:13And in Colombia, the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management indicated the maximum alert
15:17continues at the national level due to at least 14 active forest fires and more than
15:2210,000 hectares affected.

17:02in third with 17.27 percent.
17:11We are inheriting a nation in a deep crisis.
17:15This crisis cannot be overcome by a government, a political party, or an individual alone.
17:22I am not a conjurer or a magician.
17:24I am a common citizen.
17:26I have strengths and limitations, things I know and things I don't.
17:31However, my priority is to identify capabilities, acquire the knowledge I lack, and make informed
17:39decisions to lead this country.
17:42Kumara also expressed during his speech their willingness to work and foster relations with
17:46other nations since they are in need of international support.
17:52Our country needs international support.
17:54Regardless of the power divisions in the world, we intend to work with other nations to benefit
17:58our country.
18:00We are not a nation that should be isolated, but one that must move forward collectively
18:03with others.
18:05We will not hesitate to make the necessary decisions in this regard.
