00:24UN headquarters.

00:41Hello and welcome from the south, I'm Luis Alberto Matos from the Lesotho studios in
00:45Havana, Cuba.
00:46We begin with the news.
01:04Israeli occupational forces killed at least 182 people in new airstrikes against southern
01:09Lebanon.
01:10Local media reported that occupation troops carried out this Monday new air raids against
01:13several Hezbollah resistance military centers as part of the escalation of hostilities.
01:18It is one of the most intense air raids in almost a year against the Lebanese resistance
01:22movement, which have also left more than 400 wounded.
01:26However, Israeli leaders promise harsher actions in the coming days.
01:29The Lebanese Ministry of Health warned that the death toll and wounded are mostly women
01:33and children and also affirmed that at least 300 targets, including civilian areas, have
01:37been bombed.
01:38On Sunday night, the Lebanese Islamic resistance movement Hezbollah has stated that it launched
01:49five new attacks against military positions located in territories illegally occupied
01:53by the Israeli army.
01:55Through several communiques, the Shiite militia specified that it attacked the military posts
02:00of al-Baghdadi, Mayan baruj and raider systems installed in the Sheba farms, Lebanese territory
02:06legally occupied by Israel.
02:09Hezbollah declared that its attacks, which caused material damage and injuries, were
02:12in response to the Zionist occupation's incursions into southern Lebanon and in solidarity with
02:17the Palestinian resistance in Gaza and the West Bank.
02:25In this context, the Palestinian government condemned the killing of at least five health
02:29workers as a result of Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
02:33The Palestinian Health Ministry condemned the constant violations by the Tel Aviv regime
02:37of international and humanitarian laws, which prohibit the targeting of health workers.
02:41Over the past 11 months, Israeli troops have killed more than 990 health workers in Gaza,
02:49including doctors, specialists, nurses and paramedics.
02:52Occupation forces have also arrested more than 300 others and destroyed numerous hospitals
02:56and more than 100 ambulances.
03:03The Israeli occupation forces committed a new war crime by attacking another school
03:07sheltering displaced persons in the center of the Gaza Strip.
03:10On Sunday, army helicopters dropped shellings which hit the upper floor of the Khaled bin
03:15al-Walid school in Nusra refugee camp.
03:18The airstrike killed at least three civilians, including a five-year-old girl, and injured
03:22several people.
03:23The Israeli troops were quick to justify the aggression by claiming that the school was
03:27being used by Hamas as a non-command center.
03:30Over 500 educational facilities have been stricken in the Gaza Strip since October 2023,
03:35when the Saudis regime waged a genocidal war in the devastated Palestinian enclave.
03:45We heard an explosion and ran, and found the room on fire, and started screaming.
03:55And people came.
03:59And we entered the room and found something horrific.
04:02Mujahid, his wife, and their five-year-old daughter, all in pieces.
04:11Meanwhile in New York, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met with his Yemeni counterpart
04:15Rashad Mohammed during session 79th of the United Nations General Assembly to discuss
04:20the situation in the Gaza Strip and ways to improve their relations.
04:24During the assembly, the President of Palestine spoke about the latest developments in the
04:28territories, the Israeli genocide and the occupation violations in the West Bank, including
04:32Jerusalem.
04:33The President reiterated his position of wanting an end to the aggression, emphasized his jurisdiction
04:38in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Jerusalem, and insisted that he would continue to fulfill
04:43his responsibilities bilateral relations between the two countries were also discussed with
04:48the President of Yemen along with ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields.
04:58And the Syrian Government of President Bashar al-Assad issued a General Amnesty for all
05:03those who have committed crimes and infractions before September 22nd, with a four-month deadline
05:08for disorders.
05:10Announced by the Syrian President, this General Amnesty of a legislative nature seeks to offer
05:13an opportunity for reintegration to those who have violated the laws and includes, in
05:18turn, the crimes of escape contemplated in the military penal code.
05:22The amnesty is extended to army disorders, both those inside and outside Syrian territory,
05:28and they are granted a four-month period in which to invoke the law and return to the
05:31country without fear of retaliation.

06:14On the eve of the United Nations General Assembly, the Pact for the Future was signed at the
06:17UN Headquarters.
06:19The pact is aimed at reforming global governance.
06:21The forum gathered 193 UN member countries to focus on addressing the challenges of today's
06:26world.
06:27The agreement includes the implementation of at least 60 actions in five areas of development
06:31in order to adopt a blueprint for the future well-being of the planet.
06:35These include tackling issues such as climate change, a financial system reform, peace and
06:39security worldwide, and technological challenges facing humanity.
06:46The Pact for the Future must lay the ground for reform.
06:51Reform of the outdated United Nations Security Council to make it more effective, but also
06:56more representative of what the world is today.
07:01Reform of our international financial institutions so that they supercharge resources for sustainable
07:07development.
07:09And we have no effective global response to emerging, complex and even existential threats.
07:17The climate crisis is destroying lives, devastating communities, and ravaging economies.
07:25And we all know the solution – a just phase-out of fossil fuels.
07:29And yet emissions are still rising.
07:34New technologies, including AI, are being developed in a moral and legal vacuum, without
07:40governance or guardrails.
07:45On the other hand, this Monday is the second day of the United Nations Future Summit, and
07:49on Tuesday the 79th UN General Assembly will be inaugurated, where more than 150 world
07:54leaders will meet at headquarters in New York to discuss the commitments of the 2030 Agenda.
08:00And we have no effective global response to emerging, complex and even existential threats.
08:07The climate crisis is destroying lives, devastating communities, and ravaging economies.
08:16And we all know the solution – a just phase-out of fossil fuels.
08:20And yet emissions are still rising.
08:24New technologies, including AI, are being developed in a moral and legal vacuum, without
08:31governance or guardrails.
08:35We just received this news.

08:40of liberty against the President of Argentina, Javier Martí.
08:44The communique states, the Cassation Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice informs the
08:48Court of First Instance in control functions of the metropolitan area of Caracas, in pursuant
08:53of a request made by the Public Prosecutor's Office on September 18, 2024, in which it
08:58states, we formally request to decree the preventive detention measures based on the

09:07in his capacity as President of the Republic of Argentina, Karina Elizabeth Millay, in
09:11her capacity as General Secretary of the Presidency of the Republic of Argentina, and Patricia
09:16Bulrich, in her capacity as Minister of Security of the Nation of the Republic of Argentina,

09:34of the substantive criminal norms, agreed as requested.
09:42We continue.
09:43In Bolivia, the Defender of the People's Office made a new call for dialogue in the context
09:47of the mobilizations that are heading towards the city of La Paz.
09:51The Defender of the People's Office invited the President of Bolivia, Luis Arce, and former
09:56President Evo Morales, to establish dialogue.
09:59The Bolivian authorities also ratified a willingness to meet and avoid confrontations.
10:04The government also emphasized that it has already invited Evo Morales on two occasions
10:08to hold talks to resolve differences between harming the welfare of the people.
10:13This occurs after last September 20th, when Arce did not accept Morales' invitation to
10:17talk in a march, while the former president was absent from a meeting called by the Bolivian
10:21Executive at the Ministry of Education headquarters.
10:32They have spoken of civil war and the shedding of blood in the streets.
10:36This expresses intentions that exceed our norms of peaceful coexistence, and even conceal
10:43a political position of sedition that no government will tolerate.
10:49Our government, to this day, has responded to these provocations with a call for dialogue.
10:55We have always been convinced that it is still possible to find positive solutions to conflicts
11:01despite our differences.
11:04President Arce took the opportunity to reiterate his government's willingness and decision
11:08to accept the invitation of the Defender of the People.
11:15Despite the environment of confrontation that has been generated, the government ratifies
11:19its decision to summon you and the dedication of those accompanying you, within the framework
11:25of mutual respect, to hold a dialogue on the aspects that have already been answered in
11:30writing by our government.
11:32We accept the summons of the Defender of the People.
11:35Let's have a dialogue with our conditions in the facilities of the Defender's office.
11:42Finally, the Bolivian head of state indicated that he will not allow a civil war to take
11:46place and that he will rely on compliance with the law to resolve this complicated situation.
11:52We will not fall into that game, and on the contrary, we will act as the current legal
12:00instruments and the political constitution of the state require us to do.
12:05A civil war, as one of your operators says, is precisely what the internal and external
12:11enemies of our plurinational state of Bolivia want.
12:15To offer it again to imperialism, we will not allow it.
12:19For there to be civil war, at least two antagonistic fronts are needed, and that is a pleasure
12:25we will not give you.
12:26Our bet is for peace, and it is possible to conquer it today on the basis of dialogue
12:33and rigorous compliance with our current regulations.
13:03Welcome back.

14:12I am not a conjurer or a magician.
14:15I am a common citizen.
14:17I have strengths and limitations, things I know and things I don't.
14:22However, my priority is to identify capabilities, acquire the knowledge I lack, and make informed
14:29decisions to lead this country.
14:32Kumara also expressed on his page their willingness to work and foster relations with other nations
14:37since they are in need of international support.
14:41Our country needs international support.
14:43Regardless of the power divisions in the world, we intend to work with other nations to benefit
14:48our country.

16:50According to specialized media, the North Koreans, who have very little international
16:54experience, put a lot of pressure on the Japanese players, especially midfielders Aemu Oyama
16:59and Shio Mikoyama.
