00:13same way that that Sports Illustrated did and so I'm curious if you're which
00:20way you heard it so yesterday when Gerard Mayo was on asked him about
00:25saying on this show a couple weeks ago that Drake May had outplayed Jacoby

00:42think that's what he that's what he said yep asked him to clarify then yesterday
00:48why Jacoby Brissett was starting over Drake May if Drake May had out played

01:02given more context to the comment at the time well Drake had more playing time in
01:06the preseason than Jacoby and that was intentional so as we talk about the
01:10developmental plan like we know what it is internally but that was definitely
01:13intentional we know what Jacoby can do he's played a lot of ball in this league
01:17we see him every day in practice and we know what he's done in the NFL as well
01:20so but we have full confidence I have full confidence and Jacoby leading our
01:25team into the season and and you know the players feel the same way you know
01:30those guys selected another captain so that should say a lot as well I just you
01:34know that this is the way we're going to go and like I always say as the head
01:37coach of the team like I'm trying to make the best decisions for the
01:40organization not only here in the present but also in the future okay so
01:44the way Sports Illustrated heard that and they called it essentially a
01:48hilarious pivot attempt by Gerard Mayo was that Drake May had outplayed Jacoby
01:54reset when it came to time and snaps in training camp and not in not to
01:59performance level which I did not I didn't hear that I mean is that do you
02:06think that that was the intention of Gerard Mayo is that what he was never
02:10even crossed my mind like not even trying to play devil's advocate not even

03:05guys in who you draft in free agents you know retaining guys none of that

03:27went into this thing telling everybody how collaborative it was gonna be and so

03:39real quick is when he goes we know what Jacoby Bercette can do he's played a lot
03:46of which is not very much right so so what is this season that that's the
03:49biggest question I have then what is this season then if you know what your
03:54Kobe Bercette is as a starting quarterback you're not gonna win many
03:57games so you're just basically saying we're putting a guy out there that we
04:02feel like who is a pretty good backup we know what Jacoby can do
