00:00Snowtracks. It was wintertime on the island of Sodor. It had snowed all night. The trees were white, the cottages were white, and even the Fat Controller's railway was white. There was not an engine in sight.
00:22At Tidmouth Sheds, the engines looked out. Percy was very excited.
00:29It snowed!
00:31Thomas didn't like the snow.
00:33Bother! I'll have to wear my heavy snowplough.
00:37I don't like snow. You can get stuck in it.
00:40Stuff and nonsense! Snow is soft, but I am strong. It won't bother me.
00:47Then the Fat Controller arrived.
00:50Gordon, you must take some trucks to Brendam Docks. They are needed for an important coal delivery.
00:58You are a strong engine, but snow is slippery. Puff the long way round.
01:04Yes, sir.
01:06Thomas, you must deliver bundles of firewood to the stations.
01:11Yes, sir.
01:12And then the Fat Controller left. Thomas puffed with pride.

01:21Not as important as mine. I shall go straight to the docks. I shall steam over every hill I come to.
01:30Gordon pumped his pistons proudly.

01:47And Gordon wheezed out of Tidmouth Sheds.
01:51Gordon huffed and he puffed. His smoke was grey against the snowy white countryside.
01:58Soon, Gordon came to a hill.
02:02This hill isn't too steep for me. I shall steam over it.
02:07So Gordon thundered up the hill.
02:10I am special. I am the best.
02:14And he chuffed right to the top.
02:17That was easy.
02:19But Gordon found going down the other side wasn't so easy.
02:23The rails were icy. Gordon's wheels slipped and slid. He went faster and faster.
02:31Perishing pistons!
02:34Spencer was huffing up the hill.
02:37The Duke and Duchess of Boxford were on board. They were having tea.
02:44Slow down, Gordon!
02:46But Gordon couldn't slow down. Slushy snow strayed from his wheels.
02:51Spencer was covered from footplate to fender.
02:55Rattle my rods! I'm as dirty as a ditch!
02:59But Gordon didn't hear as he clickety clacked on the icy tracks.
03:05Gordon came to another hill. It was even bigger.
03:10This hill isn't too steep for me. I shall steam over it.
03:14So Gordon thundered up the hill.
03:18I am special. I am the best.
03:22But the tracks were icy. The snow was deep and the hill was very, very steep.
03:29Gordon steamed slower and slower.
03:33Bust my boiler! This is hard work!
03:38Wheel turn by wheel turn, Gordon huffed and puffed to the top of the hill.
03:45He felt very pleased.
03:47I am the strongest! I am the best!
03:51But at the bottom of the hill, there was deep, deep snow.
03:57The snow flew up all over Gordon's face.
04:02Bubbling boilers! I can't see!
04:05Gordon rattled off the main track and into a siding, straight into the back of some sleigh trucks.
04:12Gordon was covered in thick grey dust.
04:15Oh, the indignity! At least I can see now.
04:21And Gordon huffed on towards the docks.
04:25The snow was deeper and deeper and deeper. Gordon could hardly huff through it.
04:34This is hard work!
04:37Now Gordon was at the bottom of Gordon's hill.
04:41Gordon's hill was the biggest of all and it was covered in thick, thick snow.
04:48Gordon's hill isn't too steep for me. I shall steam over it.
04:53I am strong! I am the best!
04:56But Gordon didn't feel so strong anymore and he didn't feel the best.
05:02Gordon puffed against the snow.
05:05Snow is soft and I am strong. It won't bother me.
05:10But the snow wasn't soft. It had become a giant snowball.
05:15It grew bigger and bigger. Gordon started to huff slower and slower.
05:21He thought his boiler was going to burst.
05:24Oh, my!
05:26Just then, Thomas chuffed up behind Gordon.
05:30Thanks for clearing the tracks, Gordon. Now I can deliver the firewood faster.
05:35Then there was trouble. The giant snowball was too big and too heavy.
05:41It started to push Gordon back down the hill.
05:45Look out, Thomas!
05:47Cinders and ashes!
05:49Gordon and his trucks rolled back faster and faster.
05:53Thomas chuffed back faster and faster.
05:56He slipped into a siding and Gordon rolled round the bend.
06:04The giant snowball will surely miss us now.
06:07But Gordon was wrong.
06:10The giant snowball rolled down the track and crashed and bashed into Thomas.
06:17Gordon saw Thomas and his truck of firewood lifted high in the air and derailed.
06:23Now it was Thomas who looked like a giant snowball.
06:26Luckily, no one was hurt. Gordon felt terrible.
06:31I'm not strong and I'm not the best. It's a disaster!
06:38Gordon steamed slowly to Thomas.
06:41I'm sorry, Thomas. I'll huff my hardest to help you.
06:47Gordon heaved and hauled. He pushed and puffed.
06:52But the snow was too heavy. The snow was too thick.
06:56Gordon could not chuff through it to help his friend.
07:00I'm not strong enough, Thomas. I'll find Rocky. He's stronger than me.
07:09Gordon found Rocky at Brandon River.
07:13Gordon found Rocky at Brandon Docks.
07:17Hello, Thomas. I'll have you back on the tracks in no time.
07:23Soon, Thomas was no longer a snowball. He was a bright blue engine again.
07:29Thank you, Rocky. Now I must deliver my firewood.
07:33I'm very late. The station masters will be waiting and they'll be very cold.
07:38I'll help you, Thomas.

07:43I delivered my trucks to the docks. Now I can help you with your very important job.
07:50Thomas was happy to have his friend's help.
07:53Thank you, Gordon.
07:55Thomas and Gordon chuffed cheerfully through the snow.
07:59And when they came to a hill, they always puffed around it.
08:05Together, Thomas and Gordon delivered the firewood to all the stations.
08:11The station masters were very pleased to see them.
08:15At last, Gordon and Thomas puffed home to Tidmouth Sheds.
08:20They were tired, but they were happy to have been really useful.
08:25Gordon wheezed grandly.

08:31No engine is special and every engine is best.
08:36Thomas and his friends whistled.
08:39They all agreed with Gordon.
