00:00No snow for Thomas.
00:06It was wintertime on the island of Sodor.
00:10The wind was cold and it looked like it would snow very soon.
00:20So all the engines had to wear their snow ploughs.
00:25Hello, Edward. All ready for the snow?
00:29Oh, yes, Percy. Better to be safe than sorry.
00:36But Thomas didn't like wearing his snow plough.
00:40So he puffed into a siding and did something very cheeky.
00:46I can leave my snow plough here and pretend I can't find it.
00:52So Thomas played a trick on his driver.
00:55He told him that the snow plough didn't fit and had to be removed.
01:02Now I won't have to wear it any more.
01:07Thomas puffed back to Tidmouth Sheds.
01:12Thomas, where's your snow plough?
01:15I can't find it. If it snows, I'll just have to go out without it.
01:23That night, it did snow.
01:30The island of Sodor was soon covered in a thick blanket of fresh white snow.
01:40And when the engines puffed off to work the next morning,
01:44they were all wearing their snow ploughs.
01:47All except Thomas. The Fat Controller was not happy.
01:52Thomas, as you don't have your snow plough, you'll have to wait in the shed.
01:58It is too dangerous to go out without it.
02:02Very well, sir.
02:04Emily, since you have your snow plough, you must clear Thomas' branch line for him.
02:11Yes, sir.
02:13Thomas was delighted.
02:16I don't have to wear my snow plough.
02:21Emily was cross. She wasn't snug and warm.
02:25She was clearing snow on Thomas' branch line.
02:30It's not fair! Why do I have to wear a silly snow plough and Thomas doesn't?
02:37Then she heard some children laughing.
02:40They're probably laughing at me because I look so silly with my snow plough on.
02:46This made Emily even more cross.
02:49But as Emily cleared the tracks, she saw the children playing in the snow.
02:59Some were playing on sleds and some were rolling great big snowballs.
03:05Oh, the children aren't laughing at me. They're just having fun in the snow.
03:12Maybe the snow can be fun after all.
03:16Thomas was still in the shed. It seemed like a very long day.
03:22At least I don't have to wear my snow plough like Emily.
03:30But Emily was having a great time now.
03:36She was having so much fun. She cleared the tracks in no time.
03:45Emily, as you have done such a good job clearing the tracks,
03:51you can take Annie and Clarabel out on Thomas' branch line.
03:56Oh, thank you, sir.
03:59Emily was very pleased.
04:03Back at Tidmouth Sheds, Thomas was very bored.
04:07I wish I had something to do.
04:10I don't know why you don't like your snow plough, Thomas.
04:15Clearing snow is great fun.
04:17Really?
04:18And now I get to take Annie and Clarabel out on your branch line.
04:23Thomas was very surprised.
04:26But they're my coaches. That's my job.
04:30You can't go out today, Thomas. Not without your snow plough.
04:37Thomas watched as Emily was coupled up to Annie and Clarabel.
04:44See you later, Thomas.
04:46Bye, Thomas.
04:48Hope your snow plough turns up soon.
04:52Thomas wasn't happy at all.
04:54He wished he could go out in the snow with Annie and Clarabel.
04:59Then Thomas had an idea.
05:01If I get my snow plough, the Fat Controller will let me pull Annie and Clarabel.
05:08So Thomas puffed quietly away.
05:13Thomas looked for the siding where he had left his snow plough.
05:18But none of the sidings had been cleared.
05:21They were all covered in snow.
05:24They all looked the same.
05:27Oh no! The snow has covered up my snow plough and hidden it.
05:32Thomas didn't want to go back to the shed.
05:35He wanted to pull Annie and Clarabel in the snow.
05:38Maybe I don't need my snow plough.
05:41After all, Emily has cleared my line.
05:45So Thomas puffed away to find Emily.
05:53Then there was trouble.
05:55It started to snow again.
05:58I must find Emily. I must find Emily.
06:02Thomas puffed as hard as he could through the falling snow.
06:07But the snow was getting thicker and thicker.
06:11And soon Thomas was well and truly stuck.
06:16Oh no!
06:19The snow kept falling.
06:21It got higher and higher.
06:24Oh help! I wish I hadn't hidden my snow plough now.
06:29Thomas thought he would be stuck all day and all night.
06:33His footplate was frosty and his funnel was freezing.
06:39No one will ever find me here.
06:45Then Thomas heard some chuffing and puffing.
06:49I wonder who that could be.
06:53Emily!
06:55Hello, Thomas.
06:57I'm so pleased to see you.
06:59Thomas, what happened?
07:02Are you stuck?
07:03We went to look for you in the shed, but you weren't there.
07:08The Fat Controller looked cross.
07:12Thomas, you were told not to go out without your snow plough.
07:18I'm sorry, sir.
07:20I hid my snow plough and now I can't find it anywhere.
07:25That's why we've been looking for you.
07:27We found your snow plough buried in the snow.
07:30Thank you, Emily.
07:32Sorry, sir.
07:36Thomas was very happy to have his snow plough back.
07:40From now on, I'll always wear my snow plough when it snows.
07:45I'm glad you've learned your lesson, Thomas.
07:48Tomorrow you can clear the tracks for Emily.
07:52But before that, I've got something to show you.
07:56Follow me.
08:00Thomas and Emily puffed through the snow.
08:05And soon they arrived at the field where the children were playing.
08:09Wow! Look at all those snowmen.
08:14Look at all those snowmen.
08:22I think that one looks very smart.
08:26Very smart indeed, sir.
08:28A snowman needs a hat in this weather.
08:35Clearly, I must try to keep my hat on as well.
08:43The End
