00:00Heave-ho, Thomas!
00:07Thomas is a busy and cheery engine, as he puffs and huffs across the isle.
00:15He always toots hello to other engines and to children along the way,
00:22even when Thomas is pulling heavy loads.
00:26One morning, Thomas puffed in to Brendan Docks.
00:30The Fat Controller was waiting.
00:32You are all here to welcome the new engine. His name is Hank.
00:38I've heard he's very special.
00:40I've heard he's very strong.
00:43Hank puffed in to the docks.
00:46Hank was very special.
00:50He had red wheels and a bright red cowcatcher, and he was very tall.
00:57The engines had never seen an engine like Hank before.
01:01Hank looks as strong as a giant.
01:04I'm sure he isn't stronger than a Sodor engine.
01:08Now, Thomas, I have three jobs for you.
01:11First, you must take new machines from the docks to the factory.
01:16Then, you are to pick up stone from the quarry and deliver it to the shunting yard.
01:21And lastly, you must pick up an old tractor from Farmer McColt and take it to the repair yard.
01:28Yes, sir.
01:29And you must take Hank with you.
01:32Hank must see the important sites of Sodor.
01:36Be back by tea time for Hank's welcome party at Knapford.
01:41Thomas buffered up to the machine trucks.
01:45Hank chuffed alongside.
01:48Hello.
01:50Howdy, Thomas.
01:51Now you look like one of the finest little engines I've ever seen.
01:55Thomas didn't like being called little.
01:58I'm a tank engine.
02:00Thomas thought Hank was being cheeky.
02:03Those trucks are way too heavy for you.
02:06Let me take them for you.
02:08Hank meant to be helpful, but it made Thomas cross.
02:12No, thank you.
02:13I'm strong enough to pull much heavier loads than this.
02:17I'd be happy to help.
02:19But Thomas was already puffing out of the docks.
02:25At the signal, Thomas didn't take the tractor to the factory.
02:30He chuffed straight to the quarry.
02:33Thomas pulled ahead.
02:35I may not be grand and I may not be long,
02:38but I will show Hank that I'm stronger than strong, he huffed to himself.
02:44Thomas and Hank puffed into the quarry.
02:49Now I'm going to pick up the stone trucks.
02:52Hank was surprised.
02:54Hold your huff in there, Thomas.
02:56Let big old Hank take those trucks for you.
02:59No, thank you.
03:01Tank engines can pull very heavy loads.
03:04So Thomas heaved and huffed out of the quarry.
03:10Thomas wheezed and wheeshed.
03:13Handsome Hank leaned and glowed by his side.
03:17Children waved from bridges.
03:20Hello, Thomas.
03:22Howdy, good to see you.
03:25Hey, Thomas, aren't you going to whistle hello?
03:28Thomas hadn't the puff to whistle hello.
03:32Hank had plenty of puff.
03:34Hank had plenty of puff.
03:36This made Thomas feel even crosser.
03:42Thomas pulled up to the halt.
03:45He was nearly out of puff.
03:48Hello, Farmer McColl.
03:50This is Hank.
03:51He's the new engine on Sodor.
03:53Howdy, Farmer McColl.
03:55That's a mighty fine tractor you have.
03:58Say, Thomas, you look all out of puff and pull.
04:02I'll take it for you.
04:04No, thank you.
04:06And the tractor was coupled up to the end of Thomas' trucks.
04:11Thomas huffed and he puffed.
04:13His wheels spun and spun.
04:16Come on, Thomas.
04:18The train is too heavy for you.
04:20Take the pressure off your pistons.
04:22Couple me up.
04:23But Thomas was determined to pull the train on his own.
04:27We must not be late for your party.
04:30Wheel turn by wheel turn, Thomas puffed away.
04:41Thomas and Hank arrived at Marin Station.
04:44Visitors waved at Thomas.
04:46Thomas wanted to whistle back, but he hadn't any spare steam.
04:51Howdy, everybody.
04:53Thomas is overloaded right now.
04:55I'll whistle for him.
04:57Hank had lots of steam.
05:00And Hank blew the longest and loudest whistle.
05:06Then there was trouble.
05:09Thomas had cracked a cylinder.
05:12The train was much too heavy.
05:15Oh, no.
05:16Now the deliveries won't be made.
05:19You won't be back in time for your welcome party.
05:21And I'm not a really useful engine.
05:24Or even a really strong one.
05:27Shucks, Thomas.
05:28I'm so sorry.
05:30That's too bad.
05:32I wanted to show you I wasn't just a fine little steam engine.
05:36I wanted to show you I was really strong.
05:39So I didn't want to ask for your help.
05:42But I do now.
05:44Please, Hank.
05:46I'd be happy to help.
05:48You give the orders.
05:50I'll do the pushing.
05:53Hank and Thomas dropped off Farmer McColl's track.
06:01The workmen were very sorry to see Thomas had broken down.
06:05Next, Hank and Thomas chuffed into the shunting yards.
06:09The yard manager was waiting.
06:11The stone trucks were uncoupled.
06:14I hope you're back on track soon, Thomas.
06:18Finally, Thomas and Hank delivered the new machines to the factory.
06:24Thank you, Thomas.
06:27Hank pushed Thomas back to Knapford Station.
06:31They arrived just in time for the party.
06:34Thank you, Hank.
06:36Now all of Sodor knows what a strong engine you are.
06:40Hank smiled.
06:42And I know something, too.
06:44You're the engine everyone cheers for on Sodor.
06:48That's something to be proud of.
06:50Thomas smiled.
06:52Hank was very special.
06:54He was a very special new friend.
