00:00:00brought on by the New England Patriots 14 to 5 and the total yardage 240 to 114
00:00:06everything when you look at stats like that sometimes you go well the score is
00:00:11only 10 to 7 but the score the stats everything indicates the Patriots
00:00:16dominated the first half and now Brady and the Patriots will start with J.R.
00:00:22Redmond in the backfield
00:00:27with 118 rushing yards in the first half a season high
00:00:32on the left side close to the 40-yard line and let's go down Arman Greg as you
00:00:37notice J.R. Redmond in the game I'm told that Antoine Smith will play though
00:00:41lower right leg contusion but I'm told he will return to action back to you
00:00:45all right Arman and as you say that we see Antoine Smith coming out of the
00:00:51runway and back onto the field and getting a standing ovation from the fans
00:00:54on the far side 118 yards in the first half and almost seven yards of carry
00:01:00pitch for Redmond Redmond brings it back toward the middle of the field and close
00:01:06to the 45 for a first down that's our Greg that's something you see more and
00:01:09more in the league the pitch you know drew play I mean Tom Brady pitches it
00:01:14the J.R. Redmond you expecting to go outside but that's what we all perceive
00:01:19when we see the toss play but he takes it immediately cuts it back and ends up
00:01:23running right over where the center blocked his guy Redmond the second year
00:01:29back out of Arizona State in the third round draft pick last year
00:01:36on first down Brady to throw
00:01:41and Brady goes down at the 43-yard line that will be the first sack of the game
00:01:46brought down by Ernest Grant well that's the one thing I noticed Greg in the
00:01:52first half when you just try to throw the football down the field against the
00:01:56Miami Dolphins they are covering these receivers Brady smart though does the
00:02:02good the right thing nobody open immediate looks to run to try to avoid a
00:02:07big loss and you have to think so if these Dolphins are going to get a spark
00:02:10here in the second half Dave Wanstead is going to get it out of his defense first
00:02:13well that's what a look you've got a football team you think it's good it's
00:02:17built around the fact that your defense can carry your football team inside the
00:02:2645-yard line and enough for a New England first down good patience by the
00:02:33quarterback Tom Brady looking down the field and has to wait a nice catch to
00:02:40Troy Brown that was thrown hard Tom Brady such a stickler for form how is
00:02:47this young quarterback strong well you know I said it to you guys we were
00:02:50watching film of Tom Brady and somebody or he's worked at his coaching very well
00:02:56it's an almost perfect position to throw the football and if he whatever ability
00:03:02he has he takes advantage of it
00:03:07Antoine Smith is back in the game and takes the handoff and moves inside the
00:03:11Miami 40-yard line you know he said he was when he's at the University of
00:03:15Michigan he was coached very hard on all the little things Greg about how to
00:03:21throw it you know the correct way and look we know he's getting coached hard
00:03:25up here in New England and he's taking advantage of that in sometimes you've
00:03:29got players who have high skill levels but they don't take advantage of it
00:03:33because of bad fundamentals Tom Brady takes care takes advantage of all of
00:03:38them that's Rod Rutledge coming off the field we asked Brady about the change
00:03:41coming out of college and coming to the pros and he said you know when you come
00:03:45out of college you have that kind of career you think you know everything and
00:03:48then you get here and you realize I know nothing nothing it is an unbelievable
00:03:54contract
00:04:01for another first down Jerry Cousin ran him out after a 10-yard game I think
00:04:08Zach Thomas said this properly but he talked about Antoine Smith and this play
00:04:13really illustrates it nice straight arm against Terry Cousin Antoine's just
00:04:19bigger and faster than I remember him being in Buffalo but he says he's so
00:04:23patient he takes the football and he waits and he waits and sees the blocks
00:04:28and then he goes he never over commits and he says as a middle linebacker or a
00:04:33tackler it makes it so hard whistle blows flag is down 133 rushing yards on
00:04:42the day right of the snap both start 77 off it five-yard kill me remain first
00:04:48down that's Mike Compton
00:04:54yeah I noticed to Patrick's retain is not in for this Miami defense that heard
00:05:00some you know Greg you talked about it you know he had the surgery and that's
00:05:04why we saw Terry Cousin in earlier and that's got to be tough a cast on your
00:05:09left hand trying to play man-coverage against these receivables first and 15
00:05:16on the reverse here comes Brown Brown cuts it back and is down to about the 31
00:05:22yard line see they even teach their wives receivers to run back hey you're
00:05:28looking at the Miami Dolphins Charlie Weiss over there drawing up these plays
00:05:31and calling them and the Miami Dolphins defense I would think Dave wants that at
00:05:36halftime says hey defense get us back into the game well the opening drive is
00:05:41not very good for this Dolphin defense Kevin Falk is in the backfield now on
00:05:48second and 11
00:05:51Oh
00:06:02Terry Cousin coming off the corner in a hurry that's what you need to do that's
00:06:07the first time today Tom Brady never sees it you think it's going to be a
00:06:12pass bring the rusher from the backside of the quarterback so he can't see it
00:06:17Brady never sees it but you know you're blitzing your defense knows it hustle to
00:06:25the football nobody there well I'm sorry it goes right back to Tom Brady so it's
00:06:31a third and 19 now a loss of eight on the play
00:06:37Oh
00:06:50doesn't matter you know as a quarterback Tom Brady could know that time when he
00:06:55dropped back that he can take all day and if he gets back it doesn't matter
00:07:01because your punter is still going to kick it anywhere he wants nobody open
00:07:06down the field good protection and David Bowen David Bowens gets the sack
00:07:11third sack on that drive as well as on the day
00:07:15Jeff Ogden is deep
00:07:27nice bounce for Ken Walter meanwhile David Bowens a third-year man out of
00:07:34Western Illinois got himself a sack we'll be right back

00:07:51in the bright red Christmas time there's Bob Kraft the owner of the New England
00:07:55Patriots and his wife just to the left there my right his son Jonathan vice
00:08:00president or vice chairman rather of the New England Patriots on the phone
00:08:05dedicated Patriots fan for a long time and then said hey I like him so much
00:08:11might as well on the team it's nice to have that option in life let me know
00:08:16it's cold out though people out of his end zone throws this side
00:08:20Oh what a pass over the 20-yard line and complete to James McKnight that ball on
00:08:26its way a penalty marker is down that's all on its way well before McKnight made
00:08:30his move no he had to he was under pressure people a defensive player at
00:08:35his feet and Bobby Hamilton 91 hits him late
00:08:41first go foul roughing the passer 91 defense
00:08:48pick the quarterback up and drove into the ground unnecessarily 15-yard penalty
00:08:53first down I I know what they're saying you cannot pick the quarterback up when
00:09:00he's defenseless and driving into the ground that last little effort is
00:09:04probably what Jeff Triplett saw but
00:09:09well you know what if there's ever a doubt they're gonna throw the flag
00:09:12because they're gonna you've got to protect defensive defenseless players
00:09:16and let's take into account what's happened here these last few moments
00:09:20three sacks on that last drive by the Miami defense the Patriots get a good
00:09:25but then the penalty helps the Dolphins come out of their own end
00:09:34screen over the middle and that's complete to Lamar Smith
00:09:40and two big plays now at Miami in New England territory you know and I know I
00:09:45played this game Greg and here's what happens Miami moves the ball before half
00:09:50it gives Jay Fiedler chain Gailey who calls the plays it gives them a chance
00:09:56to get a little confidence and rhythm and we're seeing a result of that here
00:10:00in the second half in the first couple plays that really does help the
00:10:04quarterback and there's chain Gailey and not Miami's here to put a hat on that
00:10:09head today chance said you know I know how to get 46 yards in two plays
00:10:14on first down Lamar Smith
00:10:2046 yard line but can they find a way to run the football you know the Miami
00:10:25Dolphins last year they run it they play really good defense that's what they are
00:10:29about this year especially late I think the defense is starting to struggle they
00:10:34cannot run the football and it's there you look at that statistic 104 20th in
00:10:40the league when you before the season you would think they would be at least
00:10:45in the top ten from what they did last year and just 39 yards today they
00:10:49already got a pace to crack that second and eight
00:10:55people
00:10:59get it away Bobby Hamilton brings him down
00:11:04the first sack of the day for New England the seventh of the season for
00:11:09Hamilton well this New England defense it is different they they tried
00:11:14different things up front Bobby Hamilton the whole defensive line and
00:11:18Brandon Mitchell 96 Richard Seymour pushes him up they just they just do a
00:11:26lot and even JP or said it last night he goes man they move around more than any
00:11:32defense that I play that I played so far in the National Football League they
00:11:37definitely try to confuse the quarterback
00:11:44wide open inside the 35-yard line into the 30s Chris Chambers I like it when
00:11:52these dolphins they just send a few people down the field because it gives
00:11:57them the extra time watch Chambers double-teamed almost at the start it's a
00:12:02zone fights through it and is wide open down the middle because the running back
00:12:08went through the middle that that made the the middle open up and Chambers
00:12:12fills it in Jay Fiedler did his part by scrambling a bit to his left and found
00:12:16time to throw we were under six and a half to play for the third and it's the
00:12:19first down Miami
00:12:32receiver stopped and pulled up sorry nobody was open to just throw it away
00:12:38James McKnight turned it up at about the 10-yard line and that ball landed
00:12:43closer to the end zone you know I just got to say this so I'm glad it's a
00:12:49Saturday game here it means a lot and you know most of all Greg I'm glad if
00:12:53the weather is nice today look I'll see if it was cold you might have set your
00:12:57car doesn't it and of course I'm referring to the fact that we went to
00:13:02practice on Thursday it was it was cold and windy it was Arctic it Greg set the
00:13:08car the whole time and you know what my ears weren't real at the end of the day
00:13:12Fiedler throws it this side complete to Chambers who gets up and goes down again
00:13:18his progress will be marked at about the 22-yard line
00:13:22well this Chris Chambers you look at him he's 5 foot 11 but when you look at him
00:13:29and you see him in person you get the body of about a 6'3 wide receiver his
00:13:34legs you know he only has about his legs are about 36 inches long he's got long
00:13:40arms and he's a big receiver too so when he goes down the field he's able to push
00:13:45off get position and has the speed to run by you too
00:13:50all three of his catches today have come on the last two drives of Miami
00:13:53third and two on the ground they're not going to make it
00:14:03got to go for it here I know if he'll go put your 14 points down but you don't
00:14:09have many chances you only have five minutes left in the third quarter your
00:14:13defense can't stop the run the clock continues to just move fast you've got
00:14:18to try to score a touchdown here
00:14:22Patriots fans come to their feet it's a solid yard
00:14:30fourth and one
00:14:36Lamar Smith didn't get there
00:14:41not even close
00:14:46penetration by the defensive line nowhere for the offensive lineman to get
00:14:51out of the way tough for the runner Patriots with the
00:14:56stand and we'll go the other way when we come back
00:15:03the NFL on CBS is sponsored by Southwest Airlines crowd sponsor of the NFL and
00:15:10an official airline of Super Bowl 36 Bud Light for the great taste that won't
00:15:15fill you up and never lets you down make it a Bud Light and by Jeep Liberty Jeep
00:15:21there's only one
00:15:25well the Patriots might as well have had that ship on the front line on that
00:15:29defensive stand they take over now at their own 21 yard line
00:15:35in the backfield
00:15:41the pitch for Smith, Smith deep turn it outside and lost yardage on the play it'll be
00:15:47second and 11 well let's go back and look at the fourth down play view the
00:15:51players Romare Cornell giving the signal watch this pay attention
00:15:59whoa got a little weed yeah all right man and the players say okay coach wants
00:16:06us to stop him on fourth and short but Romare Cornell longtime assistant the
00:16:10National Football League now the defensive coordinator boy he has paid
00:16:14his dues to finally get a chance to run one of the units
00:16:19Brady straight drop throws outside and that is completely to Troy Brown
00:16:25that'll be enough for a first down out to the 32 yard line that I think that's
00:16:29the first time they have thrown the football down the field today with
00:16:33success I think it's the second time Tom Brady's even tried the longest pass was
00:16:38the one that Brady caught and ran nice throw to the outside
00:16:48a 95th reception of the season for Troy Brown
00:16:57weaving his way through the middle of that Miami defensive line again you know
00:17:03I know I'm beating this to death and I'm gonna say it again anyway the Patriots
00:17:07eat up six minutes on their opening drive the Dolphins have a nice drive no
00:17:11points you've got to stop them they pick up a first down on a good throw and
00:17:17now a huge run again on first the Patriots letting up the play clock go
00:17:23down inside five every time now
00:17:35out across the 40 to the 41 and very close to a first down is Antoine Smith
00:17:41again who has had a very active and successful day so far well he has it's
00:17:47just nothing fancy good blocking up front staying with the defensive players
00:17:53hard-running a lot of yards after contact
00:18:01and great work by the offensive line up front opening up the holes for Antoine
00:18:06Smith here today that's what you wanted running back to do you want to do you
00:18:10want them to get you yards after their hits Antoine Smith had 141 rushing yards
00:18:18just prior to that play that's big play Tim Bowens in the backfield stops it it
00:18:25keeps them the Patriots from taking this game in the fourth quarter so Ken Walter
00:18:31onto the field to kick it away and now the Dolphins will look to Jeff Ogden to
00:18:39get a decent return here in the final minute and 40 seconds of the third
00:18:44quarter
00:18:52and made it about the 24-yard line under a minute and a half to play in the third
00:19:00we'll be back here's our NFL dot-com interactive poll for the day which
00:19:06stadium would be the toughest place for a road team to win a conference
00:19:08championship game log on cast your vote NFL dot-com
00:19:27no TDs their last 17 possessions you know you learn so much when you sit
00:19:33around teams for a couple days but they do such detailed scouting looks at the
00:19:40opposing team and Bill Belichick they did a detailed scouting of course on
00:19:44this Miami offense and they just realized if we just keep field position
00:19:49somewhat good that they really struggled driving the football down the field to
00:19:54get points and they have done that well today
00:19:58people are on second and 10 over the middle nice pass across the 45 to Jeff
00:20:03Weaver for a first down 23 yards on the play as you look at the game Greg
00:20:08Jay Fiedler they've made a lot of good plays in the passing game but the
00:20:14problem is they're trying to go 80 yards to make these scores you can boy nice
00:20:19look at what Jay Fiedler sees and real big windows are there Greg to throw the
00:20:24football in in this league but but as you so often point out that's open
00:20:28that's open in the NFL last 45 seconds of the third quarter
00:20:37incomplete and close to being intercepted intended for Chris Chambers
00:20:43it'll be second and 10
00:20:48you know we mentioned Hunter Goodwin a short while ago and he's been helping
00:20:52perpetrate what we thought was a terrific joke on the ex-Miami Dolphin
00:20:57Larry Izzo and Larry Izzo was leaving a little notes for various players and I
00:21:03guess Zach Thomas was one of those who was helping say well you know what we've
00:21:07been doing and Hunter Goodwin gave his tape to coach Dave Wanstead and he
00:21:11played it for the whole team Larry Izzo used to play for the Dolphins and he
00:21:14thought all these practical jokes and things were going to go in the Patriots
00:21:21into Miami Territory to the 48-yard line as Fiedler after the protection broke
00:21:26down in a hurry yeah what's happening now the Patriots
00:21:31they're not concerned about a five-yard run anymore they're worried about getting
00:21:35to the quarterback and with 21 seconds to play in the third the clock is stopping
00:21:39James McKnight is down on the turf we'll check on James McKnight and come
00:21:45right back after this
00:21:48the NFL on CBS is sponsored by a diamond is forever show her how much you love
00:21:55her this Christmas and by new Pepsi twist Pepsi and diet Pepsi with a twist
00:22:00of lemon
00:22:04we're back in Foxboro and James McKnight is being helped off the field and let's
00:22:10take a look at what happened
00:22:11James McKnight here he is just blocking Jay Fiedler falls on the back of his
00:22:17legs along with a few Patriots
00:22:26and he is coming off very very gingerly Aranda Gadsden not playing here today
00:22:32because of hamstring problems so that would cut the wide receiver for Chris
00:22:36Chambers Ward and Jeff Ogden those are the three wide receivers in now on 34
00:22:46Dolphins are just 5 out of 18 on 3rd down in their last two games
00:22:52Fiedler
00:22:53with time to look in for a penalty marker is down
00:22:56the pass is incomplete
00:22:58and let's check the marker on the near side of the field
00:23:01here
00:23:06let's see if a dolphin receiver is being held up illegally
00:23:15holding 22 defense five-yard penalty automatic first down the penalty is on
00:23:21the ex-Miami Dolphin Terrence Shaw
00:23:26what what he's not going to like is the fact that he was holding Robert Conrad
00:23:31it was just out in the flat just standing around
00:23:39so first down now the 43-yard line and the Dolphins try to get something on the
00:23:43board here
00:23:44eight seconds to play in the third quarter
00:23:51and Miner can't get anywhere
00:23:57so the running game still producing nothing for the Dolphins that's the
00:24:00end of the third our score 23 in favor of New England will come back after this
00:24:06message in a word from your local station
00:24:08you're watching the NFL on CBS
00:24:11to all day long this is the last regular season game here in Foxboro the stadium
00:24:16opened by William Sullivan in 1971
00:24:19Jim Plunkett played here the snow plow game was here in 1982 and there was the
00:24:23runs and the 96-97 season to the Super Bowl
00:24:27Super Bowl 31 lots of tremendous memories here in Foxboro
00:24:34they'll be playing across the way next season
00:24:37Fiedler starting the fourth quarter throws to the far side
00:24:40Rob Conrad and Conrad inside the 40 to about the 38-yard line
00:24:45clock continues to move and here is Foxboro Stadium and just to the left of
00:24:52the scoreboard over there is the brand-new CMGI Stadium
00:24:58which will be the new home of the New England Patriots next season in a
00:25:02beautiful place it is yes it is beautiful a lot of space
00:25:06like all new stadiums it's going to be fan friendly they're going to like it a
00:25:10lot more seats more room
00:25:13warmer seats over there and more people
00:25:16third and five
00:25:18big play here for Miami James McKnight suffered a sprained ankle he is back on
00:25:23the field
00:25:26Fiedler down the sideline for Chambers
00:25:29one-handed penalty marker is down it's incomplete let's see which way this
00:25:34call is going to go
00:25:35Ty Law was right with him
00:25:42what's going to be against law yeah one thing you see a lot now by the Miami
00:25:47Dolphins
00:25:48interference defense number 24
00:25:52automatic first down I've talked to Jay Fiedler about this when he sees the
00:25:57defense he sees this coverage where the corner is right next to Chris Chambers
00:26:02he knows Chris Chambers is going deep and I'm going to throw the football to
00:26:06him in
00:26:09you can't if you ran it back you can see though Ty Law grabs the arm
00:26:15it's a first and goal after a penalty which is the equivalent of a 30-yard
00:26:21game
00:26:28eight-yard line
00:26:29Fiedler throws this side
00:26:34Chambers the intended receiver it'll be second and goal
00:26:37Chris Chambers against Otis Smith
00:26:45looking for the fade to the back of the hill pretty good throw by Jay Fiedler
00:26:50just gets there so quick
00:26:52Chris Chambers doesn't react to it caught Otis Smith not looking at the
00:26:55football
00:26:59boy you know down here Greg so many times we've done Dolphin games
00:27:03Arande Gadsden was the focus of their passing game inside the 20-yard line
00:27:10he is not playing today
00:27:15second and goal but wild for Chambers it is incomplete
00:27:20hand-to-hand combat with Otis Smith it'll be third and goal
00:27:24Arande's out now we know who they're going to look for
00:27:28three straight to Chris Chambers Jay Fiedler gets away with this one
00:27:33Otis Smith in good position
00:27:36not able to make the catch Chris Chambers has five fourth quarter
00:27:40touchdowns in his last six games
00:27:46so he has become the go-to guy late for Jay Fiedler
00:27:54third and goal
00:27:58Fiedler looks this side it's complete
00:28:02Henry Marker is down as Jed Weaver goes into the end zone and let's check
00:28:10this could be just like we've seen twice from the Patriots side
00:28:19this time the call is against Miami as Lamar Smith and Brian Toxin exchange
00:28:24interference number 82 of the offense
00:28:29that's Jed Weaver
00:28:30the penalty remains third down the man who caught the pass
00:28:34well on this drive the Pats defense has been guilty of penalties twice on third
00:28:38down this time it's Miami
00:28:44well there was a reason why he was wide open
00:28:48well now you get this situation great we talked about early game how hard it is
00:28:56to score to throw it in against this Patriots defense if you don't pick up if
00:29:03you don't score here I would think for sure the Dolphins will try to pick a
00:29:06field goal now
00:29:07third and goal time running down on the play clock
00:29:13Fiedler barely gets it off on time
00:29:17inside of the five an incomplete intended for Weaver
00:29:25that's not a tough decision to make now third and goal from this far out you
00:29:29have to kick the field goal or fourth and goal I should say
00:29:35Jay Fiedler taking a chance being aggressive trying to throw it to Weaver
00:29:40Matt Stephens and Terrell Buckley both there for the coverage
00:29:45so this will be Olindo Mare from 36 yards out
00:29:49the kick is away and straight enough and he is long enough
00:29:54and for the second time today Mare has a field goal it's 20 to 6 New England
00:30:03the numbers tell you that the Patriots greatly assisted the Dolphins on that
00:30:06drive of 58 yards Olindo Mare kept it with a 36 yard field goal
00:30:1213-41 the play 20 to 6 New England lead
00:30:18Patrick Pass is key for the kick
00:30:28down at the 30 yard line Scott Gallien reserve linebacker makes the stop after
00:30:34a 16 yard return and we'll be right back
00:30:4113-32 to play here in the fourth quarter and before you bail on the Miami
00:30:52Dolphins keep in mind they have scored more points in the fourth quarter than
00:30:56any other team in the National Football League this season
00:30:59First and 10, Patriots at the 30
00:31:09greatest
00:31:11all the time in the world and now it goes deep
00:31:14and overthrows the intended receiver Troy Brown
00:31:18Terry Cousin was with it
00:31:20I've kind of talked about this a few times today but Greg this is it your
00:31:25defense it's got to come through for you
00:31:28you got to protect the time that's left on the clock and you've got to get off
00:31:32the field in three downs and Jim Bates he of course he knows that the first
00:31:37play they blitz Tom Brady good coverage on the outside
00:31:41second and 10 that tells you what the Miami defense has done
00:31:47JR Redmond now in the backfield
00:31:50yeah
00:31:54and off
00:31:55and without the 33 or 34 yard line in Miami defensive peers will have to go
00:32:01the rest of the way without the rookie Morland Greenwood outside linebacker who
00:32:05has suffered a dislocated left shoulder
00:32:12or Derek Rogers I'm sorry the other linebacker and I'm more than Greenwood
00:32:20yeah
00:32:29Brady has batted into the air and it's incomplete
00:32:34well you 96 David Bowens was in there you can just feel the difference how it's
00:32:40the momentum the energy the emotion it's gone and the New England Patriots knew
00:32:46it they came out with a play-action pass on first down to try to change field
00:32:50position and get it going again on offense but Miami really a good series
00:32:55three and out gives their offense the football back quickly
00:33:00that's Jeff Ogden standing back at his own 15 yard line
00:33:06Walter's kick is high but not very deep
00:33:10now he lets it bounce
00:33:12and it bounces inside the 20 to the 18 yard line and when Jeff Ogden gets to the
00:33:17sideline I'm sure somebody's going to say you got a fair catch that football
00:33:21that's the difference of about 15 to 20 yards
00:33:27the NFL on CBS is sponsored by Saturn now with two distinctly different car
00:33:33lines the L series and S series 10 10 to 20 for great long-distance rates
00:33:38anywhere in America and around the world dial 10 10 to 20 and by Centrum
00:33:42performance with more key nutrients to help energize your mind and body
00:33:481231 to play in the fourth quarter and these New England Patriots with their
00:33:54sights firmly focused on the AFC East title
00:34:00here would be a huge hurdle
00:34:02penalty markers fly, this play won't count
00:34:12prior to this snap, false start, 82 off it
00:34:165 yard penalty, remains first down
00:34:19Dave Wonstad shaking his head because
00:34:22anytime it seems that the Miami Dolphins
00:34:25start to get something going something happens to his team
00:34:28yeah they've made their penalties have been
00:34:31disastrous to their football team today
00:34:34when this is over
00:34:36that'll be one of his biggest strikes
00:34:39they put themselves in so many bad positions
00:34:42and helped the New England Patriots a couple times on offense
00:34:45by penalties which they had control over
00:34:52seventh penalty of the day on Miami
00:34:54first and 15
00:34:59Fiedler over the middle
00:35:01and that's the play for Weaver
00:35:03and Weaver out across the 25 yard line
00:35:11pickup of 13 will make it second and 2

00:35:24now this is the time
00:35:26as Lawyer Malloy was pointing out to us
00:35:28that it's time for the New England Patriots defense
00:35:31to stand up and just not totally surrender to the offense
00:35:40incomplete and a fine defensive play by Terrence Shaw
00:35:47but he was talking about the acquisition of the veteran players
00:35:50who know how to play the game on defense
00:35:52particularly at this part of the game
00:35:54yeah you know that's right
00:35:56New England with all the new players they brought in
00:35:58the free agents, the veterans
00:36:00and Lawyer Malloy said it
00:36:02the strength of what we do
00:36:04we just can't like overpower you
00:36:06and stop you cold
00:36:08but we think it's very hard for you to drive down the field
00:36:11make a lot of plays
00:36:13and score a touchdown
00:36:15evidence, only two field goals given up today
00:36:17and now the Dolphins are forced to use a timeout
00:36:24they stopped the clock with 11.48 to play here in the fourth
00:36:27that is the first timeout they have used here in the second half
00:36:31and this reminder

00:36:44Sunday on CBS
00:36:46you know
00:36:48I enjoyed being a fan last Sunday
00:36:50we did a Saturday game, it was great
00:36:52it really was
00:36:54by the time football was done last Sunday
00:36:56I was exhausted
00:36:57because I watched them all
00:36:59but like us today Greg, we're driving to the game
00:37:02and I see fans out in the parking lot
00:37:04they're cooking hot dogs
00:37:06or bratwurst or whatever it is
00:37:07and I go, man
00:37:08it's just a nice thing to do
00:37:10come to the game, have some fun
00:37:12it wasn't so cold
00:37:14oh, you are
00:37:16yeah, just to let you know
00:37:17we're out here in the cold
00:37:18Greg's got a heater by his feet
00:37:20it's about one inch away
00:37:22but it's for both of us, right?
00:37:23yeah
00:37:24thanks for sharing
00:37:25third and two
00:37:32big play here for Fiedler
00:37:33Fiedler
00:37:34he moves the grass
00:37:36looking for some place to throw the football now
00:37:38on the run
00:37:39throws down the sideline
00:37:41and that's complete
00:37:44Jeff Ogden made the catch
00:37:46that's enough for a first down
00:37:47and what a play by Jay Fiedler
00:37:49yeah, how good was that?
00:37:50how good was that?
00:37:51Jay Fiedler under pressure
00:37:53nobody's open
00:37:55number 98, Anthony Pleasant
00:37:57from the right side
00:37:58grabs his jersey
00:37:59cannot pull him down
00:38:00Fiedler just staying alive
00:38:04finally spots the receiver
00:38:06open down the field
00:38:07priority to snap
00:38:09New England takes its first
00:38:11charge team timeout
00:38:13so the Patriots take their first timeout
00:38:1611 and a half to play
00:38:18in the fourth quarter
00:38:19and Miami desperately trying to get back in it
00:38:24boy, Jay Fiedler just staying alive
00:38:26this gives the Miami Dolphins
00:38:29at least a chance
00:38:31to stay in the football game
00:38:33Fiedler with the pass
00:38:34to Chambers
00:38:35and Chambers on the way
00:38:36to the 40
00:38:37the 30
00:38:38the 20
00:38:39run out of bounds
00:38:40inside the 15 yard line
00:38:41by Loyer Malloy
00:38:43little bubble screen to the near side
00:38:45and boy, does he have some get up and go
00:38:47boy, does he have the speed
00:38:48what execution
00:38:50watch Chambers from the outside
00:38:52the block coming
00:38:53Diedrich Ward
00:38:55he third one the offensive lineman
00:38:57the left guard pulling out
00:38:59and making a terrific block
00:39:02the Patriots have
00:39:03had basically stopped the screen game
00:39:06by the Miami Dolphins today
00:39:08until that play
00:39:10so Chambers, I told you
00:39:12fourth quarter seems to be his time of the day
00:39:14and he is fast
00:39:19on first down
00:39:20Lamar Smith
00:39:21right side
00:39:23just short of the 10
00:39:27Brandon Mitchell
00:39:28Teddy Brewski
00:39:29with the stop after a 3 yard gain
00:39:31it's 2nd and 7th
00:39:32now both these teams
00:39:34have had red zone problems today
00:39:36this is the 7th trip
00:39:38into the red zone
00:39:39by both teams
00:39:40only one has come away with a touchdown
00:39:42well yeah, Miami struggles
00:39:43running the football
00:39:44so you
00:39:45I've always said this, Greg
00:39:46once you get near the goal line
00:39:48you've got to be more creative
00:39:50in your play calling
00:39:51because the defense
00:39:52knows they don't have to cover anything
00:39:54deep anymore
00:39:55so it makes it harder
00:39:56to throw the football
00:39:592nd and 7th
00:40:04inside the 5
00:40:05and complete at the 5 yard line
00:40:07to Chambers
00:40:09Chambers was inside the 5 yard line
00:40:11in his moment
00:40:12and brought him back to the 5
00:40:1510 minutes to play
00:40:164th quarter
00:40:17boy, Chris Chambers
00:40:18if you watch this Dolphin team
00:40:20over the last 5, 6 weeks
00:40:22it's just
00:40:23every single week
00:40:25he becomes more of a factor
00:40:27more of a focus
00:40:28and he says
00:40:29I even notice it now
00:40:30the other teams
00:40:31have been paying a lot more attention to him
00:40:33than they did
00:40:34earlier in the year
00:40:35when I was just an unproven rookie
00:40:36big 3rd down play here
00:40:383rd and 2
00:40:39and 2
00:40:45Benley Marker was down
00:40:48wow, what a catch
00:40:49what a throw
00:40:50the only spot he could let it go to
00:41:04illegal formation
00:41:05only 6 men are on the line
00:41:07in scrimmage
00:41:08Offense. Backyard penalty remains third down.
00:41:12Oh, again. What a killer of a penalty for the Miami Dolphins.
00:41:16Greg, it's almost unforgivable, some of these penalties.
00:41:20Let's see if we can figure it out. Well, here it is.
00:41:22No wide receiver on this side. It's on the line of scrimmage.
00:41:26Tight end on this side. Somebody has to move up, cover the tackle.
00:41:30They don't do it.
00:41:33So instead of a third and two, or better yet, a first and goal, it's third and seven.
00:41:38And you know, you can get away with that every time.
00:41:40All you have to do is look outside to the official and say, am I okay?
00:41:44And he'll give you a signal, yes.
00:41:47Or no. Or no, that's right. Then you move.
00:41:54Fiedler, lobs for the end zone. It's complete.
00:41:58Jeff Weaver, his intended receiver.
00:42:02Matt Stephens on the coverage. A lot of contact down the field.
00:42:06Jay Fiedler tries to wait as long as he can.
00:42:12Has to anticipate. About two foot too long.
00:42:17Fourth and seven.
00:42:19Now Fiedler needs the three-yard line for a first down.
00:42:36Throws over the middle and that's complete.
00:42:38Inside the five to Lamar Smith.
00:42:42Is that a loose football? Or was he down?
00:42:45Officials looking at each other.
00:42:49No whistle, no point to the ground.
00:42:57We have ourselves a questionable result right here.
00:43:07Jeff Triplett consults.
00:43:09And they say it's a fumble.
00:43:15Boy, you bet. Dave Wonstad is looking for that buzzer.
00:43:18He's about to challenge this.
00:43:19Even if you don't find out, you've got to challenge it because it is the game.
00:43:24To Bucky Jones again. It's out.
00:43:27Just a solid hit.
00:43:29Twice today to Bucky Jones has made big hits to take the football away from receivers.
00:43:37And Lamar Smith.
00:43:39We are reviewing the ruling on the field of a catch and fumble recovered by New England.
00:43:46About another half second and it looked like the Patriots had themselves or the Dolphins had themselves a first and goal.
00:43:55Point to Bucky Jones.
00:43:57He is one of the bigger safeties in the National Football League.
00:44:01A tremendous hitter.
00:44:03He has a reputation coming out of the University of Syracuse.
00:44:09He does a lot of things well.
00:44:11They brought him into the league as a corner.
00:44:13Now he plays safety.
00:44:15And he's so valuable.
00:44:17Let's watch the play again.
00:44:18He's so valuable on special teams that they take him out sometimes on defense just to rest him for those reasons.
00:44:26And you can see the football is coming out as Lamar Smith is going down.
00:44:31Before you're here in the stadium the fans have just seen it on the screen.
00:44:36And they just heard and saw it again.
00:44:39You know sometimes Lamar Smith was in good position.
00:44:43Both hands on the football.
00:44:45But the contact is just so solid that even though you're trying to protect it.
00:44:52It was a catch.
00:44:54The receiver was hit.
00:44:56The ball slipped out under his waist before his rear end hit the ground.
00:45:01Therefore the ruling on the field stands.
00:45:04It is a fumble.
00:45:05First and ten.
00:45:07New England.
00:45:09You know Jeff Triplett probably does as good a job of explaining a situation as anyone we've come across in the National Football League.
00:45:20And what it really does it just helps the fans as I said earlier Greg.
00:45:24You see that seven turnovers by the Dolphins.
00:45:27Dave Vaughn said if he has one pet peeve in this game or in any game and he talks about his team.
00:45:34Turnovers just drive him crazy.
00:45:37And last week three interceptions.
00:45:39This week two huge fumbles.
00:45:43Meanwhile New England in their last five games are up plus eight in the turnover department.
00:45:48So they've been making it happen.
00:45:528.51 to play.
00:46:00Now what the Dolphins need now is a quick turnover of their own.
00:46:04Well what the Patriots said they wanted.
00:46:06Long drives for the Dolphins.
00:46:08Let's see if they can do it without making a mistake.
00:46:14Hand off and he's wrapped up in the three yard line.
00:46:18And it would appear that a Dolphin was offside.
00:46:24Still plenty of time.
00:46:25The Dolphins have got to be careful.
00:46:29Offside.
00:46:30Defense.
00:46:31Number 58.
00:46:33Five yard penalty.
00:46:34Remains first down.
00:46:35Well Dave Wanstead has done a lot of that today.
00:46:37Hasn't he stood on the sideline shaking his head?
00:46:40I was going to say Greg you've got 8.45 to go.
00:46:42You still have one timeout.
00:46:44You can get the football back at least two times.
00:46:47Don't over commit on defense.
00:46:50Don't give up a cheap play.
00:46:52Don't commit an offside penalty.
00:46:55Now for five.
00:46:57Smith.
00:47:00To the 14, the 15 yard line and a first down.
00:47:05Zach Thomas with the tackle.
00:47:07And Antwon Smith has done the job on the ground game today.
00:47:10Boy he has the tackles.
00:47:12The whole offensive line for the New England Patriots.
00:47:15Just getting some movement.
00:47:17And Antwon Smith is just barreling ahead for some good yards.
00:47:21148 rushing yards on the day.
00:47:24A career high for Antwon Smith.
00:47:29You know it bears repeating.
00:47:31As Bill Belichick said, he was freed up fairly early.
00:47:36Well they were hoping for that in June.
00:47:39The Buffalo Bills had to let him go because of salary cap restrictions.
00:47:43The Patriots were hoping for that.
00:47:45They signed him I think two days later.
00:47:49And Smith just keeps adding to the total out to the 21 yard line.
00:47:52You know the same division Greg.
00:47:54The Bills and the Patriots in the same division.
00:47:56They knew what Antwon Smith, what he could do.
00:47:59And of course Antwon Smith knew he was in trouble too with the Bills.
00:48:03He started looking around the league and going where can I go?
00:48:06Where can I play and what fits me?
00:48:08He knew the Patriots were a good fit for him.
00:48:10Don't you wonder where this game might be if you didn't have that bad right leg for most of the day?
00:48:17715 to play in the fourth.
00:48:22And J.R. Redmond has come on now for Antwon Smith.
00:48:29Redmond tries the left side and is stood up in the 20.
00:48:33Zach Thomas.
00:48:36We haven't heard his name a lot today, Zach Thomas.
00:48:39I did ask him, Darryl Gardner not being here.
00:48:42Has it hurt you as far as your ability to run around and make tackles?
00:48:46Because Darryl Gardner, defensive lineman, they got to protect Zach Thomas.
00:48:50He says no.
00:48:51The guys are in there now.
00:48:52They are protecting me just as well.
00:48:5414 tackles today.
00:48:56As we know, the tackles are divided up into tackles and then solo tackles.
00:49:01He has more solo tackles than the next Miami Dolphins has total tackles.
00:49:13And has a first down across the 25-yard line.
00:49:16Ryan Walker brought him down, but not before he picked up the first down.
00:49:20You know, that is just a commitment to what the system is about with the New England Patriots.
00:49:27They teach their runners a certain way to run.
00:49:30That time it was J.R. Redman.
00:49:32But a good example of how important the yard is.
00:49:35Ryan Walker has him stop short of the first down because they're taught to run hard like that.
00:49:40Don't dance around.
00:49:42He picks up the first down.
00:49:45Keeps the sticks moving.
00:49:4721st downs on the day for the Patriots.
00:49:51Season high 194 rushing yards for New England.
00:49:55Smith gets a couple out of a lovely play there.
00:49:59Yeah, and as you watch this game today, you know, I'm just sitting here thinking about the overall game.
00:50:04I'm thinking, well, to make it simple, the Patriots just managed the game, I think, better.
00:50:10They didn't commit the fouls.
00:50:12They didn't do some of the silly things that keep the other team's drive going.
00:50:16They protected the clock.
00:50:18They came up with a few key calls in the right situation to put their team ahead.
00:50:25The pass to the quarterback, and that's been the difference.
00:50:29Dolphins not playing under control the way you'd expect a 9-14 to do it.
00:50:37Well, that's wrapped up in the third down.
00:50:39We told you earlier that the Miami Dolphins could clinch a playoff spot with a victory today.
00:50:45That's not going to happen.
00:50:46We'll outline the playoff possibilities for the New England Patriots when we come back.
00:50:51The NFL on CBS is sponsored by American Express.
00:50:57Wishing you all the best this holiday season.
00:51:00And by Selson Blue Shampoo to help keep your dandruff from sending the wrong signals.
00:51:124.53 remaining in the fourth quarter here at Foxboro Stadium.
00:51:18We look at the 237th and final regular season game to be played in this stadium.
00:51:28The Patriots would like to extend the life of this stadium to the postseason.
00:51:34J.R. Redman on the right side.
00:51:37As we look at the numbers in the AFC playoff race, consider this for the New England Patriots.
00:51:45A win today and a New York Jet loss will give them a playoff berth.
00:51:50A win and a Baltimore loss will put New England into the postseason.
00:51:54As will a win and a Seattle loss or tie.
00:51:57Or should the Dolphins come back to tie the Patriots here and a Seattle loss.
00:52:03You got that, coach?
00:52:04We'll have a quiz in about two minutes.
00:52:05He lost me after the second one.
00:52:07I said, OK, I'm going to quit listening and let's just wait.
00:52:11Go home and watch.
00:52:12Let's just watch and wait for another week.
00:52:15And now we have a timeout on the field.
00:52:19Well, we have the opportunity.
00:52:20Coming up next, two hotbeds of hoops collide when Keith Bogans and the Kentucky Wildcats
00:52:25tangle with Jared Jeffries and the new-look Indiana Hoosiers.
00:52:28That's next on the home of the NCAA championship, CBS Sports.
00:52:34You know, as you talk about the playoffs and all that, I think Dave Weinstead said it perfectly last night to us.
00:52:40You know, we were saying, well, what is your team doing?
00:52:42And he goes, well, we're not stopping to run, running the football.
00:52:44We're turning it over.
00:52:45None of the things that we need to do to be a good playoff team.
00:52:48But he goes, ah, you know what?
00:52:50Nobody else in the league is doing it either.
00:52:52So we're all on kind of the same boat except for two teams who are absolutely separating from the rest.
00:52:58The St. Louis Rams and the Pittsburgh Steelers have made a distinct, I think, jump over the rest of the teams in the league.
00:53:06You know, we're in the habit of sending out good wishes for them while we're at it, as we usually do.
00:53:11Our B.A. extraordinaire Ryan Galvin.
00:53:13All of us at CBS on our crew here send our best wishes out to Ryan's mom, Mary.
00:53:23Happy holidays, good wishes, all that good stuff.
00:53:27And Walter with the kick.
00:53:30Just don't sleep.
00:53:32Air catch called for and made by Ogden at the 21-yard line.
00:53:3646-yard punt and Jay Fiedler with no timeouts to work with and four minutes even on the clock is down by a score of 20 to 6.
00:53:46Yep, just do this.
00:53:47Four down territory always.
00:53:49You just try as an offense.
00:53:51Don't worry about the clock too much.
00:53:53Try to score a touchdown.
00:53:55Of course, that's always the goal.
00:53:57But just know when you get the onside kick and you hope you can get one throw into the end zone.
00:54:01And you and I were talking during the timeout, Phil, that the Dolphins had their chances earlier in this quarter down here in the red zone.
00:54:11Chris Chambers almost catches a touchdown pass.
00:54:13They fumble.
00:54:15They commit a penalty and don't get a touchdown one other time.
00:54:20And a penalty that prevents a first and goal.
00:54:23Fiedler out of the shotgun.
00:54:26Going down.
00:54:31Anthony Pleasant was all over the quarterback.
00:54:36Probably one of the surprises to me is the New England Patriots.
00:54:40Anthony Pleasant, number 98.
00:54:42Another one of those free agent pickups by Bill Belichick.
00:54:46The pressure they have put on Jay Fiedler today.
00:54:50That one bounces before it reaches the intended receiver, Diedrich Ward.
00:54:54And Fiedler is meeting the turf more often than he would like in the closing minutes of this game.
00:54:59And Anthony Pleasant again putting the pressure on him.
00:55:07Third and 12.
00:55:08And now this New England crowd just on its feet and cheering their local hero.
00:55:19On the draw to Travis Miner.
00:55:29Miner wrapped up at the 25-yard line.
00:55:34Willie McGinnis, number 55, with the stop.
00:55:36And it will be fourth and six.
00:55:50Fiedler on fourth down.
00:55:52Steps up.
00:55:53Over the middle.
00:55:54That's complete.
00:55:55Across the 40 out to the 45-yard line to James McKnight.
00:55:58And that's enough for a Miami first down.
00:56:00Remember, the Dolphins out of timeouts.
00:56:04Nice job by Jay Fiedler.
00:56:06Look to his right and then just wheel and spots McKnight to his left side.
00:56:11And makes a perfect throw.
00:56:14First down.
00:56:17Far side of the field.
00:56:19And that's complete to the 35-yard line and Chambers.
00:56:2717-yard pickup.
00:56:29Another good throw.
00:56:30Bill Belichick trying to be smart with his defense, not taking any chances.
00:56:39Fiedler looking, dancing, and now is going to run.
00:56:43Tripped up at the 35 and down at the 33, Roman Pfeiffer.
00:56:47Another one of those veterans that Bill Belichick has brought in
00:56:51and has really helped to fill the bill on defense.
00:56:53Yeah, he's played well this season.
00:56:55We talked about Anthony Pleasant.
00:57:01Miner.
00:57:04And Miner to the 30-yard line.
00:57:06And that will take us to the two-minute warning.
00:57:09Two minutes to play.
00:57:11Dave Wonstadt would love a lot more time with Bill Belichick's remnant clock.
00:57:18Right there, one of the more intriguing stories in the NFL this year.
00:57:21Drew Bledsoe on the left and his replacement since Game 3 or Game 2, Tom Brady.
00:57:28Third and four for Fiedler in the Dolphins.
00:57:31To the near side of the field and that is complete.
00:57:35And out of bounds now to James McKnight.
00:57:37You know, Greg, this game is not over yet.
00:57:39But just to go back to Drew Bledsoe and Tom Brady real quick.
00:57:43Tom Brady said it perfectly.
00:57:45And so did Lori Malloy.
00:57:47Drew Bledsoe has handled this situation so well
00:57:50that it's enabled his team to go on and keep winning
00:57:53and not be a disruptive force.
00:57:55And, you know, Drew Bledsoe has been so successful.
00:57:58It's really a credit to him.
00:58:00And you should be proud of the way he's handled a very, very tough situation.
00:58:05Here comes the blitz on Fiedler.
00:58:06Fiedler throws incomplete too high for Hawkins to handle.
00:58:10And there's Marker down right in the middle of the field.
00:58:16Deidre Ford was held by Terrence Shaw.
00:58:19T.J. Fiedler trickling a little blood around the nose.
00:58:26Holding 22 defense.
00:58:29Five-yard penalty.
00:58:31Automatic first down.
00:58:33Shaw the offender.
00:58:34Yeah.
00:58:36Thought I saw J. Fiedler's nose bleeding earlier.
00:58:38But Terrence Shaw, he's there.
00:58:42There's Deidre Ford, number 87.
00:58:49Yeah, just pulls him down.
00:58:52Contact too long.
00:58:58On first down, Fiedler throws.
00:59:00And that was complete inside the 15 to Chambers.
00:59:03What a catch.
00:59:07Second and one.
00:59:10Chambers, 124 receiving yards on the day, 76 of them here in the fourth quarter.
00:59:16Here comes the blitz.
00:59:17Fiedler throws.
00:59:18It is touchdown.
00:59:20Jeff Ogden made the catch in the end zone with 128 to play.
00:59:26Nice drive by the Dolphins.
00:59:28J. Fiedler has been on target today.
00:59:31Has played a very good football game.
00:59:34Throwing the ball with authority and accuracy.
00:59:38Just drills it in before Otis Smith turns and looks for the football.
00:59:46Chambers coming off the field with a little bit of a limp.
00:59:49Well, the receiving core for the Dolphins is getting beat up.
00:59:54Miami's first touchdown in its last 20 drives.
01:00:02Maury's kick is good.
01:00:05That makes it a 20 to 13 ball game as Chambers has tended to on the sideline.
01:00:10Let's go back to the touchdown.
01:00:15Touchdown, J. Fiedler just sees the coverage.
01:00:19Only one defender outside.
01:00:21Throws a line drive.
01:00:23Ogden, nice catch.
01:00:25Meanwhile, on the very top of your screen is 84, Chris Chambers.
01:00:29Boy, he didn't even get hit.
01:00:30Just pulled up limping.
01:00:31Yeah, it was hurting him from the play before.
01:00:34That looks like it could be cramps, Greg.
01:00:39You know, with my medical background, I can figure these things out.
01:00:41Yes, doctor.
01:00:42Yeah, I know.
01:00:43You see Chambers' numbers.
01:00:45Meanwhile, Fiedler with 320 yards throwing on the day has notched a career high.
01:00:50Yeah, he has thrown the football well two, you know, three times.
01:00:55Lamar Smith fumbling inside about the two-yard line.
01:00:58Jed Weaver fumbling early in the game at midfield.
01:01:01The touchdown to Jed Weaver called back.
01:01:04So, J. Fiedler has given this football team and the Miami Dolphins many chances to be in it.
01:01:13Played well enough for them to win today.
01:01:15Some of the teammates didn't.
01:01:17Meanwhile, for Jeff Ogden, that was the first career receiving touchdown for him.
01:01:23He has scored on punt returns.
01:01:25The first touchdown catch of his career.
01:01:30Well, Lembe Mari is very, very good at the style of onside kicks that he does.
01:01:37He can come back, kick it really hard, and he can go straight up in the air
01:01:42and allows his team a chance to get down underneath him.
01:01:47Well, no timeouts remaining.
01:01:49The Dolphins need the ball back, and here they go.
01:01:55Oh, what a grab by Fred Coleman, and he was hit right away.
01:02:00Scramble for the ball on the near side, but it's going to belong to New England.
01:02:08Fred Coleman is a first-year man out of Washington.
01:02:11He went up and made the grab that was critical to this New England team,
01:02:15but, oh, what a hit he took.
01:02:19There's the kick.
01:02:20One hop straight up in the air.
01:02:22Probably went down the field farther than they hoped it would.
01:02:28But you're right.
01:02:29I cannot see who makes the hit.
01:02:31Oh, it's David Bowens, special teams, terrific special teams player,
01:02:38even though he's a defensive lineman.
01:02:43Oh, that ball did come loose for just a second.
01:02:48He was down when it came loose, though.
01:02:52Boy, nice hit.
01:02:55How about that?
01:02:57This is not like a running back to back, running back coming down the field, is it?
01:03:00This is a backup defensive tackle running down there making that hit.
01:03:04Fred Coleman getting all of the congratulations on the sideline.
01:03:07He just doesn't know it.
01:03:14Well, the Patriots, they have been impressive today.
01:03:17They did something in the second half that was hard.
01:03:19They were just trying to protect the lead, win this football game.
01:03:28Polachek getting doused.
01:03:31The New England Patriots about to win their fifth in a row,
01:03:36their seventh in the last eight, their ninth in the last 11.
01:03:43And it's going to bring to a close three decades of football here in Foxborough,
01:03:51Massachusetts in this stadium.
01:03:58Well, they got to run one more play and that will be it.
01:04:06You know, Greg, we got the sense we're up here.
01:04:09It's a team.
01:04:11They're together.
01:04:12Everybody's involved in the games.
01:04:21And it's a team that came together after a slow start,
01:04:25a one and three start for these New England Patriots.
01:04:28And now Bill Polachek leads the charge onto the field as his Patriots move to
01:04:33ten and five on the year.
01:04:36And a giant step towards the AFC East championship.
01:04:44A hug for Tom Brady.
01:04:46They got 196 rushing yards on the day,
01:04:50keyed by a terrific performance by Antoine Smith.
01:04:56For Phil Simms and Armin Katayan.
01:04:58Greg Gumbel saying so long from Foxborough.
01:05:01Our final score, the Patriots 20, Miami 13.
01:05:05We'll be sending you to Jim Nansen Company in New York for the NFL today
01:05:08right after these.
