00:00:00On a windy, rainy afternoon in Foxborough, Massachusetts, the New England Patriots head
00:00:08out onto the field to meet up with the New Orleans Saints in a critical game for these
00:00:13two teams in their hopes to make the playoffs.
00:00:16This afternoon on the NFL on Fox, it's the New Orleans Saints and the New England Patriots.
00:00:26Hello everyone.
00:00:27Welcome to the NFL on Fox.
00:00:28I'm Sam Rosen along with Bill Moss.
00:00:31A very important game, a turning point game, if you will, for both these teams and their
00:00:35chances to make the playoffs.
00:00:37Here in New England, there's been only one topic of discussion all week long.
00:00:41Who will the starting quarterback be?
00:00:43On one side, it's Tom Brady.
00:00:45On the other side, Drew Bledsoe.
00:00:47The head coach, Bill Belichick, says it's Tom Brady.
00:00:50What do you think, Bill?
00:00:51Well, rightfully so.
00:00:52Heck, you know, these guys got wins, and at this time of the season, it's in September.
00:00:55This isn't October.
00:00:56We're looking at December right in the eye.
00:00:58You don't gamble with victories.
00:01:00This guy has carried this team there.
00:01:02There's a chemistry amongst the players with Tom Brady, so you ride this horse as long
00:01:07as you possibly can, and if you have to go back to Drew, go to Drew.
00:01:11As far as Drew's concerned, I mean, you shouldn't lose your job to injury one week, two weeks,
00:01:16two months.
00:01:17That's a different story.
00:01:18Now for the New Orleans Saints, they're in a tough division with San Francisco and the
00:01:22St. Louis Rams.
00:01:23They come in at 5-4, a pivotal game.
00:01:26And they've been at their best in the second half against the Rams.
00:01:29In the last three quarters last week against the Colts, it's been the defense that has
00:01:33gotten it done.
00:01:34Well, yeah, and Jim Hasselhoff is pointing to this game and his defense to take this
00:01:38team over and take it through the playoffs.
00:01:41Three guys really jump out at this very tough physical defense, and it starts with the guy
00:01:46up front, 94, Joe Johnson.
00:01:47He's been dominant.
00:01:48Coach Hasselhoff says he doesn't lose.
00:01:50Well, you lose some, but he wins the majority.
00:01:54The guy outside on the corner, Fred Thomas, they weren't sure what they got when they
00:01:57got him from Seattle.
00:01:58He was injured with an ankle injury.
00:01:59He's become a lockdown corner.
00:02:01They had him on Isaac Bruce.
00:02:03Last week, they had him on Marvin Harrison.
00:02:05This week, I expect to see him on Troy Brown.
00:02:07And then the safety.
00:02:08How about Sammy Knight?
00:02:09Everywhere he is is where the football is.
00:02:11Six interceptions, four fumble recoveries, a sack.
00:02:14Guys just keep making plays, and it's going to take that kind of effort today to stifle
00:02:18this New England team at home.
00:02:20The Saints are a dome team, an indoor team.
00:02:23Outside today, wind and rain.
00:02:24How will it affect their game?
00:02:26For the New England Patriots, they're five and five.
00:02:30Which way will they turn?
00:02:31All eyes will be on Tom Brady of the New England Patriots this afternoon.
00:02:32We'll be set for the opening kickoff right after these messages.
00:02:33It was mild earlier in the day.
00:02:34It has now become windy and rainy in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
00:02:35Earlier in the day, it was cold.
00:02:36Now, it's warm.
00:02:37It's windy.
00:02:38It's windy.
00:02:39It's windy.
00:02:40It's windy.
00:02:41It's windy.
00:02:42It's windy.
00:02:43It's windy.
00:02:44It's windy.
00:02:45It's windy.
00:02:46It's windy.
00:02:47It's windy.
00:02:48It's windy.
00:02:50Earlier today, San Francisco still leading Indianapolis, looking to go eight and two.
00:02:55Washington wins its fifth in a row.
00:02:58Pittsburgh with a ten-point lead on Tennessee.
00:03:00Atlanta trying to go to six and four.
00:03:03That's a big game in the NFC West concerning New Orleans.
00:03:07Cleveland shutting out Cincinnati.
00:03:09Buffalo with a lead on Miami.
00:03:11Miami is six and three.
00:03:13And Kansas City beats Seattle.
00:03:15Seattle drops to five and five.
00:03:17Patriots have won the toss.
00:03:19Tobey going to kick off.
00:03:21And we are underway with the line drive kick.
00:03:25And it's picked up by Ben Kelly.
00:03:27Not yet.
00:03:28By Ben Kelly.
00:03:29And Kelly struggles up to the 14, maybe the 15-yard line.
00:03:34Wet football, wet grass.
00:03:37And there is the second-year man out of Michigan, Tom Brady, three and one at home, five and
00:03:43three as a starter.
00:03:46The defensive line has Grant Williams, Mike Compton, Damian Woody, Joe Andrews, and Greg
00:03:51Robinson-Randall.
00:03:52Mark Edwards is the fullback.
00:03:54Antoine Smith has 610 yards rushing.
00:03:57The key man is Troy Brown, the wide receiver, 63 catches.
00:04:01Rod Rutledge, the tight end.
00:04:03David Patton, the other wide receiver.
00:04:05From the 14, Rutledge in motion.
00:04:09Antoine Smith gets up to about the 19-yard line.
00:04:14Mathis with the stop.
00:04:15He's a great run support cornerback.
00:04:18Up front for New Orleans, Joe Johnson, Leroy Glover, Norman Hand, Darren Howard.
00:04:22They did not have a sack in last week's game against Indianapolis.
00:04:26Darren Smith, Charlie Clemens leads with eight sacks.
00:04:29Keith Mitchell, the linebackers.
00:04:31And an outstanding secondary, Mathis and Thomas, the corners.
00:04:35Bellamy and Sammy Knight, the safeties.
00:04:37And Sammy Knight has been everywhere.
00:04:39Two tight ends.
00:04:41Antoine Smith gets across the 20, up to the 22-yard line.
00:04:45Jay Bellamy with the tackle.
00:04:50You just talked about Sammy Knight being all over the place, Sam.
00:04:53That's exactly what he was.
00:04:55He just stepped up there on the fill from the strong safety position and closed in there.
00:05:00He is always around the ball.
00:05:02We just talked about him at the top of the show.
00:05:04Sammy Knight is everywhere.
00:05:06Fred Waring, number 24, has come in for Kevin Mathis.
00:05:10On third down out of the shotgun.
00:05:17Brady gets plenty of time, throws and it's caught by Troy Brown.
00:05:22Up across the 40.
00:05:24Brought down by Fred Thomas, a pickup of 18 on the play.
00:05:30New Orleans says he's the guy that they must stop.
00:05:33Well, everybody says that Troy Brown's the guy they have to stop.
00:05:37Nobody can seem to stop him.
00:05:40He's overly fast, not overly big, but a lot of desire.
00:05:44He was locked down that time with Freddy Thomas.
00:05:47Thomas, 22, had him covered throughout the field.
00:05:50Troy Brown found some separation and Brady found him.
00:05:55Brady swings it out to Mark Edwards.
00:05:57The fullback slips a tackle across midfield.
00:06:00Out of bounds at the New Orleans 44-yard line.
00:06:04That's a good effort by the fullback.
00:06:07Mark Edwards picked up 16.
00:06:10That's something that Mark Edwards likes to do.
00:06:12That's something that New England may have to rely on today.
00:06:15A guy they can get the ball in their hands and let them bowl people over.
00:06:19That's what he excels at.
00:06:21He was looking up the defenders.
00:06:23You know how they say guys will look you up?
00:06:25You see Mark Edwards?
00:06:27He was looking for defenders to run over.
00:06:29Two tight ends in for New England.
00:06:32Charles Johnson also in.
00:06:34Troy Brown has gone to the sideline.
00:06:36On first down, it's Antoine Smith.
00:06:38Trying to cut back.
00:06:39It's down to the 41-yard line.
00:06:41Fred Thomas made the tackle.
00:06:44Kevin Mathis has gone to the sideline with a shoulder problem for New Orleans.
00:06:48Take a look.
00:06:50Really, do you know what New England's become?
00:06:52They've become a power run team.
00:06:54You never think of them like that.
00:06:56You've never thought of them like that in the past with Drew Bledsoe.
00:06:59And the aerial assault that they had in New England here at Foxborough.
00:07:03They've become a ground team.
00:07:05And that's the guy that's leading them.
00:07:08He gets the whole offense going.
00:07:10Brown is back in along with David Pack.
00:07:12Brady rolling.
00:07:14Swings it back the other way to Antoine Smith.
00:07:16Has a couple of blockers inside the 40.
00:07:18Down to the 20.
00:07:20And he goes all the way.
00:07:22Touchdown.
00:07:3041-yard screen pass to Antoine Smith.
00:07:35Patriots score first.
00:07:37The ninth time in 11 games they've scored first.
00:07:49That was some play.
00:07:51And it got the crowd going.
00:07:57Outstanding opening drive for the Patriots.
00:08:00Adam Vinatieri for the extra point.
00:08:03Ken Walter the holder.
00:08:06And the Patriots take the opening kickoff.
00:08:10And march from their own 14-yard line.
00:08:13And cap it off with a 41-yard screen pass to Antoine Smith.
00:08:20He gets the escort.
00:08:22And he takes it all the way.
00:08:36Antoine Smith taking it in.
00:08:4041 yards.
00:08:42Capping off an 85-yard drive.
00:08:44In which Tom Brady was 3-for-3.
00:08:47Two swing passes out of that.
00:08:52Adam Vinatieri kicking off.
00:08:54Deuce McAllister steps up at the 11-yard line.
00:08:59McAllister at a 63-yard return last week.
00:09:02Goes up the sideline.
00:09:04It's out of bounds.
00:09:06Otis Smith took him out.
00:09:08Saints go on offense with excellent field position.
00:09:16Last week to start the game.
00:09:18The Saints fell behind Indianapolis.
00:09:21Off the first play from scrimmage.
00:09:237-0.
00:09:25Then they went down 14-0 and came back.
00:09:27This is not uncommon for the Saints.
00:09:29And Jim Haslett.
00:09:32After a 43-yard kickoff return.
00:09:34Saints from their own 48.
00:09:36With McAllister and Ricky Williams in the backfield.
00:09:38Aaron Brooks.
00:09:40Under pressure.
00:09:42Throws incomplete.
00:09:44Intended for the tight end.
00:09:46There's a flag in the secondary of the Patriots.
00:09:49Terrence Shaw was covering on the play.
00:09:52Maybe called for pass interference.
00:09:59Jerry Austin is our referee.
00:10:0122 defense.
00:10:03Automatic first down.
00:10:10Terrence Shaw.
00:10:12You're going to watch.
00:10:14He comes over the top.
00:10:16Must have held him before that.
00:10:18He didn't look like he had any interference with him there.
00:10:20The back judge threw that.
00:10:22Ricky Williams on first down.
00:10:24Gets a short game.
00:10:28A lot of stuff going on here.
00:10:31Phantom.
00:10:33As far as I'm concerned.
00:10:35Let's go back to the touchdown.
00:10:37One thing you want to do when you have an aggressive defense.
00:10:39Is get them going.
00:10:41Brady on the bootleg.
00:10:43Gets everybody coming this way.
00:10:45They're all this way.
00:10:47Then he throws the screen.
00:10:49Look at this side of the field.
00:10:51All green.
00:10:53Get an aggressive fast defense going one way.
00:10:55Then counter.
00:10:57On second.
00:11:00Only got about a yard.
00:11:02Brandon Mitchell.
00:11:04Making the tackle for the Patriots.
00:11:06Aaron Brooks.
00:11:08Had an outstanding game last week.
00:11:10Over the last two weeks.
00:11:12He's completed 69.5% of his passes.
00:11:14Daryl Terrell starts for Willie Rolfe.
00:11:16And Rolfe may undergo knee surgery this week.
00:11:18A veteran offensive line.
00:11:20In the back field.
00:11:22We'll see a lot of Deuce McAllister.
00:11:24With Ricky Williams.
00:11:26Lamont Hall is the blocking tight end.
00:11:28Eddie Boo Williams is the pass receiving tight end.
00:11:30Three wide receivers.
00:11:32Albert Connell is on the field.
00:11:34Number 83.
00:11:36On third down.
00:11:38Brooks gets time.
00:11:40Nobody open.
00:11:42Now he's running for it.
00:11:44And is out of bounds at the 30 yard line.
00:11:46He's short of the first down.
00:11:48By a couple of yards.
00:11:58Let's check the defensive alignment for the Patriots.
00:12:00Play a 3-4.
00:12:02They'll show a lot of 4-3 because Ted Johnson is out.
00:12:04Ted Bruschi is the man in the middle.
00:12:06Willie McGinnis will sometimes move up.
00:12:08As a defensive end.
00:12:10And provide pass rush.
00:12:12Law and Smith the corners.
00:12:14Laurie Malloy and Kebucky Jones are the safeties.
00:12:16This will be a 48 yard attempt.
00:12:18For John Carney.
00:12:20Who's 23 for 24 this season.
00:12:22And the kick is on the way.
00:12:24And it is no good.
00:12:27Wide to the right.
00:12:29His only other miss.
00:12:31Had been at home against Atlanta.
00:12:33A kick that was blocked.
00:12:35He had made his last 12.
00:12:37This one.
00:12:39Slides off to the right.
00:12:41And is just wide.
00:12:45Look at Troy Brown.
00:12:47Has become the key receiver.
00:12:49The man on offense.
00:12:51For the Patriots.
00:12:53That's the guy they've got to stop.
00:12:55The rest of this offense.
00:12:57Patrick Pass.
00:12:59Split out to the left.
00:13:01Brady on first down.
00:13:03Throwing short to David Patton.
00:13:05And Patton gets up close.
00:13:07To the first down marker.
00:13:09Joe Johnson.
00:13:11The defensive end.
00:13:13Chased him down.
00:13:15Good start for Tom Brady.
00:13:17Well look at this.
00:13:19Tom Brady.
00:13:21Looking right across the field.
00:13:24That was David Patton.
00:13:26On a crossing route.
00:13:28He came right behind the linebacker.
00:13:30Charlie Clemens.
00:13:32And had a sidestep.
00:13:34Charlie Clemens.
00:13:36Second down.
00:13:38Straight ahead.
00:13:40Mark Edwards the fullback.
00:13:42Carrying for the first down.
00:13:44Up to midfield.
00:13:46The forecast for.
00:13:48Intermittent showers.
00:13:50The rain has stopped here in Foxborough.
00:13:52Still a pretty good breeze.
00:13:54How do you think it will affect the New Orleans Saints?
00:13:56During the course of the game Bill?
00:13:58Well I think you're going to see a lot more ground stuff.
00:14:00Because I think they're going to have some problems throwing the ball.
00:14:02But this is New England's weather.
00:14:04They're used to this stuff.
00:14:06The home field advantage if you will.
00:14:08Edwards in motion.
00:14:10Brady gets time and completes.
00:14:12To Troy Brown.
00:14:14Picked up about 7 on the play.
00:14:16Brady is 5 for 5.
00:14:18To start the game.
00:14:21And he's really into it Bill.
00:14:23He's playing with a lot of confidence.
00:14:25Well you know what they're doing.
00:14:27They're giving him confidence.
00:14:29With the crossing routes.
00:14:31With the short routes.
00:14:33This is a lot different offense for Brady.
00:14:35Than it was what they did with Bledsoe.
00:14:37In Bledsoe there was a lot more vertical attack.
00:14:39You saw all the crossing and underneath stuff.
00:14:41And the screens and the swing passes to Brady.
00:14:43And that's what gets his confidence going.
00:14:45That score Miami coming back to tie Buffalo late in that game.
00:14:47That's the game that interests New England fans.
00:14:50Miami 6-3 starting play today.
00:14:52That pass is incomplete.
00:14:54And fans wanted a flag.
00:14:56Keith Bichel covering Rod Rutledge on the play.
00:14:58Rutledge with a couple of receptions last week.
00:15:00They don't get the tight end of the ball very much in this offense.
00:15:02They don't get it to Wiggins.
00:15:04Only down in the red zone or goal line do they get it to Wiggins.
00:15:06And Rutledge they're starting tight end.
00:15:08They don't work that part of the field.
00:15:10They don't work that part of the field.
00:15:12They don't work that part of the field.
00:15:14They don't work that part of the field.
00:15:16They don't work that part of the field.
00:15:18Normally they look at their primary receivers
00:15:20and they go to the check down with the backs.
00:15:22Third and about three for the Patriots.
00:15:24They'll work out of the shotgun.
00:15:26And Mike Compton, the left guard,
00:15:28moves over to center in the shotgun.
00:15:30It's the craziest thing I've ever seen in the NFL.
00:15:32Blitz coming.
00:15:34Brady looking.
00:15:36Rolling away from it.
00:15:38Holds on to the ball.
00:15:40And the Saints have him at the 45.
00:15:42Keith Bichel.
00:15:44And Jay Bellamy.
00:15:47Tackling.
00:15:49Tom Brady for a loss.
00:15:51First sack of the game for the Saints.
00:15:53And the Patriots are forced to punt.
00:15:55You talked about that.
00:15:57Damian Woody is normal center.
00:15:59And Compton is the left guard.
00:16:01But when they go shotgun, they switch.
00:16:03And Compton becomes the center
00:16:05because he can deep snap.
00:16:07Ken Walter will punt.
00:16:09There's Mike Compton going off.
00:16:11Wayne McGarrity is deep.
00:16:13Going to Wallace.
00:16:17And Compton perhaps hoping to draw
00:16:19the Saints offside.
00:16:21Walter.
00:16:23High kick.
00:16:25It's short.
00:16:27McGarrity waits for a fair catch.
00:16:29And trouble with a win.
00:16:31And the Patriots are all around the ball
00:16:33at the two yard line.
00:16:35McGarrity wanted to catch that ball
00:16:37up and around the 12.
00:16:40And he had trouble with a win.
00:16:42And it wound up going over his head
00:16:44and bouncing inside the 5.
00:16:46And the Patriots were right there.
00:17:10Starting play today.
00:17:12Ricky Williams leading the NFC in rushing.
00:17:14Third in the NFL.
00:17:16He's carried only twice.
00:17:18But here, deep in their own territory,
00:17:20the Saints start from their own three yard line.
00:17:22Ricky was a little bit worried
00:17:24coming into this game because
00:17:26it was the 10th game last year
00:17:28that he got injured.
00:17:34Off the play fake.
00:17:36Brooks to put it up deep.
00:17:38Way down for Joe Horn.
00:17:40And there's a flag.
00:17:42Flag on the play.
00:17:44Horn comes up with a football.
00:17:46What a catch by Joe Horn.
00:17:48As he went against Ty Law.
00:17:50Joe Horn with a fabulous play.
00:17:5251 yard reception.
00:17:54I can't believe he came up with a ball.
00:17:56How about that ball from their own three?
00:17:58It was a little play action.
00:18:00Pass interference.
00:18:0224 defense.
00:18:04Result of the play.
00:18:07It was a little play action inside.
00:18:09Now he's got one on one.
00:18:11Joe Horn just on the nine.
00:18:13The ball is a little bit under thrown.
00:18:15So Law comes over top of him.
00:18:17But look at the concentration
00:18:19and effort by Joe Horn.
00:18:21Straight ahead.
00:18:23Ricky Williams inside the 40.
00:18:25Hard run.
00:18:27Ricky Williams has really
00:18:29gotten his game together.
00:18:31The one thing about it is his size.
00:18:33Everyone says he looks bigger.
00:18:35He's about 10 pounds bigger.
00:18:37I was talking to the strength coach
00:18:39from New Orleans.
00:18:41He said he's 10 pounds heavier
00:18:43than he was this time last year.
00:18:45On second down.
00:18:47Straight ahead.
00:18:49Looks like they've got enough for a first down.
00:18:51Richard Seymour, number 93
00:18:53with a tackle for the Patriots.
00:18:55The thing about Ricky is he's got
00:18:57a body that just keeps putting on muscle.
00:18:59He lifts with the linemen.
00:19:01He uses the linemen's weights.
00:19:04Not the running backs and receivers.
00:19:06So it's all the big heavyweight.
00:19:08And he's got bulked up now.
00:19:10He's actually a little bit heavier than that.
00:19:12Right now.
00:19:14And the thing about it is his body fat stayed the same.
00:19:16They test him every two weeks.
00:19:18He's at 8%.
00:19:20So it hasn't affected his speed or his stamina.
00:19:22Saints go with two tight ends.
00:19:24The toss to Ricky Williams.
00:19:26Drops it. Picks it up.
00:19:28And turns it into positive yardage.
00:19:30Almost disaster.
00:19:33And it bounced right up to him.
00:19:35That's one thing he's very conscientious of.
00:19:37He has small hands.
00:19:39There's no two ways about it.
00:19:41His hands are small.
00:19:43And he works on catching the ball all the time.
00:19:45He was out there before the game.
00:19:47Catch and pass it.
00:19:49Pick up a three on the play.
00:19:51He's caught some sod
00:19:53there up in his face mask.
00:19:55Deuce McAllister is split out to the right side.
00:19:57Willie Jackson in motion.
00:20:03Brooks rolls.
00:20:05Has time.
00:20:07Waiting. Nobody open.
00:20:09He throws it away.
00:20:11Aaron Brooks just waiting
00:20:13for someone to come open.
00:20:15Nobody did.
00:20:17Finally got some pressure from Bobby Hamilton.
00:20:19Accuracy is up for Aaron Brooks
00:20:21the last couple of weeks, Bill.
00:20:23I think it has a lot to do with the entire offense.
00:20:25I think Joe Horn
00:20:27and the receiving corps is playing better.
00:20:29I think they're calling better plays.
00:20:31Mike McCarthy, the offensive coordinator.
00:20:33They're moving him around a little bit more
00:20:35and they're getting him involved early with things.
00:20:37Have to get to the
00:20:3925 yard line for a first down.
00:20:41Three wide receivers in.
00:20:43Willie Jackson in motion.
00:20:45Out of the shotgun.
00:20:47Brooks gets time.
00:20:49Throws. Completes to Willie Jackson.
00:20:51Way down short of a first down.
00:20:53Great tackle.
00:20:55Tie ball with the tackle on the play
00:20:57on Willie Jackson.
00:21:00We'll wait and check out the flags here.
00:21:16That's one way to try to stop him.
00:21:18They didn't even get it stopped.
00:21:20Terrell Buckley was out on the field.
00:21:22Is that a new defensive scheme?
00:21:24He's got a bunch of them.
00:21:26He's trying to get off the field right there.
00:21:28Good catch.
00:21:30And it's a tough thing to do too
00:21:32because they change defensive
00:21:34schemes so much
00:21:36from week to week to week.
00:21:38These guys really have to stay
00:21:40attuned to what's going on.
00:21:42Now they've got 12 men on the field again.
00:21:44They've got 12 out there again
00:21:46and there goes Willie Shaw.
00:21:48Terrence Shaw.
00:21:50Last week they had
00:21:527 DBs in the game all the time.
00:21:54If you called dime or dollar defense
00:21:57you had 7 DBs out there when you're playing
00:21:59the St. Louis Rams.
00:22:01Now you come back and you prepare all week
00:22:03and you put in a new
00:22:05defensive scheme to stop
00:22:07the New Orleans Saints hard rushing
00:22:09attack. They're checking to see
00:22:11if they made a first down on the play
00:22:13and they did. I thought
00:22:15the tackle was made short of the first down
00:22:17but the spot was at the
00:22:1925 yard line. I was with you.
00:22:21I thought it was a little short too.
00:22:23So the penalty is
00:22:25a first down for the New Orleans Saints.
00:22:27Every single week
00:22:29it's different for the New England Patriots
00:22:31defense. If you watch film on them
00:22:33and try to get a clue on what they're doing
00:22:35don't bother because it's going to
00:22:37change the next week when they face you.
00:22:39That's how the New Orleans Saints prepare.
00:22:41They watch film. It didn't do any good
00:22:43to watch film. We just have to run
00:22:45what we run and we ran it against
00:22:47a 4 man front. We ran it against
00:22:49a 3 man front.
00:22:51Terrell Smith is in at fullback
00:22:54number 44 for New Orleans who go
00:22:56first down at the New England 25.
00:22:58Brooks
00:23:00catch was tipped
00:23:02and falls incomplete.
00:23:04Intended for the pullback
00:23:06Mark Edwards out of the backfield.
00:23:08Bobby Hamilton
00:23:10got a piece of the pass.
00:23:12Well they bring a bunch
00:23:14right over the strong side.
00:23:1691 Hamilton gets his hands up
00:23:18but watch there's 1, 2
00:23:20you're going to see 3 right here
00:23:24and luckily
00:23:26for New Orleans they were fanning that
00:23:28direction. They had their turn
00:23:30protection called to that side.
00:23:32Look at Miami coming back
00:23:34to take the lead. They were down 13
00:23:36points in the 4th quarter.
00:23:38Brooks
00:23:40throwing at it
00:23:42by the tight end.
00:23:44Boo Williams. Boo Williams a rookie out of Arkansas
00:23:46who was a fine receiver at Arkansas
00:23:48was cut
00:23:50at the end of training camp. Signed to the
00:23:52practice squad. They switched him to a
00:23:54tight end. They're trying to bulk him up.
00:23:56They had a big week last week
00:23:58with two touchdown passes
00:24:00the ball was there and you've got to
00:24:02catch the ball with your hands especially in the
00:24:04elements like this Sam. Wind
00:24:06rain, wet slick ball
00:24:08don't let that ball get into your body. Catch
00:24:10it with your hands. Cam Clayton is still out
00:24:12Williams important as they pass
00:24:14catching tight end. On 3rd down
00:24:16Brooks throwing and it
00:24:18is incomplete.
00:24:20Not sure who that was
00:24:22intended for. That may have been Tim
00:24:28And the field goal kicking unit
00:24:30coming on. John Carney will try
00:24:32again.
00:24:36Brooks upset with himself. I thought
00:24:38he had Albert Connell open deep
00:24:40real early by the time he set his
00:24:42feet. Everybody was covered
00:24:44up.
00:24:46This drive will be from 43
00:24:48yards away.
00:24:54He'll be going the holder
00:24:56and the kick is blocked.
00:25:02So John Carney who has been
00:25:04almost automatic all season
00:25:0823 for 24 coming into the game
00:25:10has missed one and had one
00:25:12block. David Nugent
00:25:14the back up defensive end
00:25:16of Purdue gets his hand on watch
00:25:1892. He gets up in there
00:25:20and hits his hand.
00:25:24Good job by the Patriots.
00:25:26That was Seymour in there too.
00:25:32Aaron Brooks looking for Willie Jackson
00:25:34on the crossing pattern. Almost picked
00:25:36off by Laurie Malloy
00:25:38in and out of his hands
00:25:40and then watch Nugent
00:25:42the rookies. Six foot six
00:25:44and he just runs right over Kevin
00:25:46Hauser the center outweighing
00:25:48him probably by 100 pounds.
00:25:50Richard Seymour.
00:25:56Nugent got up there as well but Seymour was the
00:25:58guy who first. Seymour was
00:26:00the one that was lined up over the long snap.
00:26:04Patriots with a 7-0 lead.
00:26:06And one step one first
00:26:08down. Good pick up of
00:26:10about 8 on the play. Keith Mitchell
00:26:12with the tackle.
00:26:18And this is an area where you know we talked
00:26:20about that defense of New Orleans Sam. It's time
00:26:22for them to step up and dominate a game.
00:26:24Right now they look a little
00:26:26bit off balance.
00:26:28They're getting there but after they gain
00:26:30about 5-7 that time 9 yards
00:26:32that's not good enough. Obviously.
00:26:3648!
00:26:3848!
00:26:40And off the
00:26:42way. And that time great
00:26:44penetration by Norman and
00:26:46one of the toughest run stoppers
00:26:48there is. Time for an update.
00:26:50Let's go to J.B. at the Fox Television
00:26:52Center. Fellas Miami was
00:26:54trailing 27-17 with 8-16
00:26:56left with a battle back and win on
00:26:58this play. Look at the rookies. Chris
00:27:00Chambers hauled that one in with 48
00:27:02seconds left. Miami holds
00:27:04the victory 34-27
00:27:06over Buffalo. Back to Sam Rosen
00:27:08and our guy Bill Moss. Great
00:27:10comeback. Thanks J.B. Miami
00:27:127-3 tied with the Jets
00:27:14at 7-3 for the lead in the AFC
00:27:16East. New England will be
00:27:18at the Jets next week. That's a very
00:27:20important game for the Patriots.
00:27:22Their playoff hopes.
00:27:24Blitz coming.
00:27:26They pick it up. Brady
00:27:28going and it was complete to Jermaine Wiggins
00:27:30the tight end. Had to reach
00:27:32back for it.
00:27:34They're going to stop him at his furthest
00:27:36forward progress and I believe that's going to be enough
00:27:38for the first down.
00:27:48So the Patriots who don't often
00:27:50go to the tight end. That time went
00:27:52short and Wiggins
00:27:54able to pick up the first down.
00:27:56What the heck is Brady now?
00:27:586-6
00:28:007-7 with 6-7.
00:28:12You know, I was talking to
00:28:14the defensive coaches of New Orleans Saints
00:28:16and I was asking them, are you glad to see
00:28:18Brady, them going with Brady?
00:28:20You know what Drew can do and you know
00:28:22he's got that cannon and when he's
00:28:24hot, he is real hot.
00:28:26And they said, you know what? I don't know.
00:28:28I don't know. Brady kids making
00:28:30some real good decisions.
00:28:32They've watched him on film. They've studied him.
00:28:34He's good with the ball and he's good under pressure.
00:28:36He doesn't get rattled.
00:28:38The toss to Antoine Smith
00:28:40it looked like they wanted to reverse it
00:28:42to Patton but Smith is
00:28:44thrown for a loss back to the 35 yard line.
00:28:46Keith Mitchell with an outstanding
00:28:48play.
00:28:50You know what? That was a heads up play by Antoine
00:28:52Smith because he didn't want
00:28:54to risk the ball. Not in this
00:28:56area of the field. He just took
00:28:58the loss right there. He saw
00:29:00the people. Patton turned to him
00:29:02and said, hey, what are you doing? I was right here.
00:29:04And Smith said, no.
00:29:06It just wasn't safe. It's heads up play.
00:29:08J.R. Redman
00:29:10was in the backfield
00:29:12for New England.
00:29:14They have to get to the New Orleans 49
00:29:16for a first down.
00:29:18They punched the receivers to the left.
00:29:20Brady
00:29:22pointers out of the middle.
00:29:24First down to Troy Brown.
00:29:26That's his man.
00:29:28The go-to guy.
00:29:30They're keying on him. They had Fred Thomas
00:29:32on him and he still got open for the catch.
00:29:34You know, Fred
00:29:36Thomas is the lockdown guy.
00:29:38And here he is. Watch him in the mix of all this.
00:29:40He's waiting. He's waiting. Now he takes him.
00:29:42Right there is the separation.
00:29:44You see the little push off in the separation?
00:29:46Troy Brown has been
00:29:48around this league a long time
00:29:50and it's things like that that keep you around the league.
00:29:52Tragedy veteran.
00:29:54Three catches, 42 yards for Troy Brown.
00:29:56On first down, Antoine Smith.
00:29:58Brought down by Kevin Mathis
00:30:00who was out earlier but has returned
00:30:02and seems to be okay.
00:30:04Had a bit of a neck problem.
00:30:06Pickup of two on the play for Antoine Smith.
00:30:10Time winding down in the first quarter.
00:30:12Patriots scored on their first possession.
00:30:14The Saints
00:30:16have missed twice on field goal tries.
00:30:18One a miss wide right
00:30:20and one gets blocked.
00:30:22And the Pats are just going to let
00:30:24this clock run down. Brady's over there
00:30:26talking to the coaches on the sideline.
00:30:28Good start
00:30:30for the home team,
00:30:32the New England Patriots.
00:30:34Tom Brady,
00:30:367 for 9. Troy Brown
00:30:38with three receptions
00:30:40and the Patriots
00:30:42who scored first, lead at the end of the first quarter
00:30:447 to nothing.
00:30:46New England.
00:30:48Back in
00:30:50Foxborough, the New England Patriots
00:30:52with a good start to the game, leading
00:30:54the New Orleans Saints 7 to nothing.
00:30:56And for Tom Brady, no question
00:30:58about the confidence of the
00:31:00boys he's playing with, Bill. Well, he has it
00:31:02because that offense and everything that they're doing,
00:31:04they're keeping New Orleans completely
00:31:06off balance defensively. And there's
00:31:08not many teams in the National Football League
00:31:10that have had the success doing that.
00:31:12Normally, New Orleans defense is
00:31:14right to the offense. Right now, they're on their heels.
00:31:18On the Saints 45,
00:31:20Patrick Pats in motion.
00:31:22Brady, going short
00:31:24to Troy Brown, got away from Mathis.
00:31:26Gets to the 30-yard line.
00:31:28Got away from Chris Oldham
00:31:30on the first try.
00:31:32And finally brought down
00:31:34at the 30-yard line. That's the first down
00:31:36to pick up a 15.
00:31:38Sam, in New Orleans,
00:31:40they're reeling a little bit. Look, they've
00:31:42got three down linemen
00:31:44in there right now. Three wide
00:31:46receivers for the Pats. That was just second
00:31:48long, but you can see right now, they're making adjustments
00:31:50already.
00:31:52Nice move by
00:31:54Troy Brown.
00:31:58Mark Edwards, the
00:32:00fullback for a couple
00:32:02straight ahead.
00:32:04And again, part of mixing
00:32:06it up, Edwards getting a couple of carries
00:32:08and a little swing pass out of the
00:32:10field. Antoine Smith.
00:32:12The attempt to reverse
00:32:14the shots downfield.
00:32:16They were looking deep, and they threw underneath to the
00:32:18tight end.
00:32:20Pretty good play calling. Charlie Weiss,
00:32:22the offensive coordinator,
00:32:24and of course, that man right there,
00:32:26Belichick. The things that they do,
00:32:28they're masters at
00:32:30keeping you off balance,
00:32:32and they're masters of disguise.
00:32:34On second and seventh
00:32:36round in motion.
00:32:38Brady's still got it. No,
00:32:40and he throws
00:32:42to the man he faked it to,
00:32:44Antoine Smith. What a great play fake
00:32:48by Tom Brady, and
00:32:50Antoine Smith went down the
00:32:52sideline and passed just a little too long.
00:32:54Well, the guy he was looking for first was
00:32:56Patton. He was looking for Patton
00:32:58on the post route, but he got covered up
00:33:00real quick, and so he had to take his shot.
00:33:02He thought he liked the shot
00:33:04on a running back on a wide receiver,
00:33:06but that was a pretty good job of Smith
00:33:08keeping pace.
00:33:12Brings up third and long.
00:33:14J.R. Redmond is in
00:33:16for New England.
00:33:18Patriots three for four on
00:33:20third down convergence.
00:33:24Blitz coming.
00:33:26Brady
00:33:28throws, and it's incomplete.
00:33:30Try to hit Troy Brown, Fred Thomas.
00:33:32Wherever Troy Brown goes,
00:33:34there goes Fred Thomas.
00:33:38There was that same motion
00:33:40again, that dig route. It takes him
00:33:42outside, and then watch him work.
00:33:46Just enough separation. The ball just a little bit
00:33:48over thrown, but you can
00:33:50see the ways that Troy Brown
00:33:52is working to get separation.
00:33:54See the numbers
00:33:56on Adam Vinatieri as he sets up
00:33:58for a 46-yard
00:34:00field goal drive.
00:34:02And Walter is the holder.
00:34:08The kick is on the way, but he
00:34:10pulled it.
00:34:12It hooks to the right, to the left.
00:34:16And so the teams are
00:34:18taking turns missing field
00:34:20goals here.
00:34:22Saints have missed two,
00:34:24and the Patriots miss here.
00:34:26It's still 7-0.

00:34:49Fox
00:34:51tonight, first time on television,
00:34:53Star Wars Episode I,
00:34:55The Phantom Menace, tonight at
00:34:5710, 6 Central, following
00:34:59the premiere. Don't miss the sneak peek
00:35:01at the StarWars.com documentary,
00:35:03R2-D2, Beneath the Dome.
00:35:05That's
00:35:07following this game.
00:35:09I've played with a guy once, we called him Chewbacca.
00:35:11Ricky
00:35:13Williams, his fifth carry of the
00:35:15game. Gets up to
00:35:17about the 39, picked up three on
00:35:19the play. Ricky Williams, back-to-back
00:35:21120-yard
00:35:23games. Actually, one game
00:35:25picked up 121, last week
00:35:27120.
00:35:29Leading the NFC in rushing.
00:35:31He's been catching the ball well, he's really been doing
00:35:33it all. He shows up everywhere.
00:35:35He's on swings, he's on screen passes,
00:35:37he's downfield blocking for his teammates.
00:35:39If there's an interception thrown,
00:35:41he's down there making the tackle.
00:35:43On second and seven,
00:35:45Ricky Williams straight ahead.
00:35:47Gets another three on the play.
00:35:49Brandon Mitchell
00:35:51makes the tackle. You know, this
00:35:53is a physical game. There's been a lot of
00:35:55popping of the pads. We hear it all the way up here
00:35:57in the booth. Teddy Bruschi, he's the
00:35:59middle linebacker today in this 4-3
00:36:01scheme. As we talked about, they change
00:36:03defenses. Normally they run a 34.
00:36:05He's one of the inside linebackers
00:36:07with Ted Johnson. But Teddy
00:36:09Johnson, you see Bruschi, 54, down
00:36:11the bottom of the pile down there.
00:36:13A lot of banging going on. The New England
00:36:15Patriots feel
00:36:17and practice as though they are a tough
00:36:19physical team. On
00:36:21down, Ricky Williams
00:36:23gets up across
00:36:25the 45
00:36:27and we'll see where the spot
00:36:29is made. Roman Pfeiffer made the tackle.
00:36:31That's right. 95 came flying in there
00:36:33and he got a good look on Ricky
00:36:35Williams and that's part of the attitude
00:36:37that some of these free agents
00:36:39look at that. Stopped him short.
00:36:41That's some of the attitude that the free agents
00:36:43that they brought in in the offseason, like
00:36:45Roman Pfeiffer, have brought to this
00:36:47team. And another one that they brought
00:36:49in, Brian Cox, who's out with a broken leg,
00:36:51hopes to be back next week against
00:36:53the Jets. He was running in pre-game warm-ups.
00:36:55First punt of the
00:36:57game. Tobey Goin is back.
00:37:01Good brush. And a good
00:37:03high kick.
00:37:05Bounces down at the 10
00:37:07and is covered
00:37:09at the 6-yard line.
00:37:11So the Patriots are
00:37:13pinned deep in their own territory.
00:37:15Off a good punch by Tobey Goin.
00:37:1747-yard punt.
00:37:19New England
00:37:21still leading 7-0.
00:37:23Tom Brady
00:37:25stepped in in Game 3 and saved
00:37:27the Patriots' season.
00:37:29Bledsoe is ready to go, but now he stands
00:37:31on the sidelines.
00:37:33Brady
00:37:35is 8-12, 127
00:37:37yards. Bledsoe looks on.
00:37:39Patriots go from the 6.
00:37:41Straight ahead. Beautiful run
00:37:43up the middle, hard by Antoine Smith.
00:37:45Gets it out from the
00:37:47shadow of the goal post, up to the 18.
00:37:49It's a first down.
00:37:51Take a look. Martin Chase
00:37:5392 is in for Leroy Glover
00:37:55and he's not injured. Leroy Glover
00:37:57is not injured, but right there, that's
00:37:59what happens. He gets
00:38:01steel-blocked by Joe Andrews. He's a guard.
00:38:03That's normally where Leroy Glover's
00:38:05is.
00:38:07Chase and Willie
00:38:09White hit it on the defensive line.
00:38:11Joe Johnson is going on the sidelines.
00:38:13Six defensive backs in for the
00:38:15Saints.
00:38:17Straight ahead.
00:38:19And another strong run.
00:38:21Otis Smith,
00:38:23or rather, Antoine Smith, getting up to
00:38:25the 24-yard line.
00:38:27See, remember I was telling you
00:38:29that the New England Patriots
00:38:31are wanting to become a tough team?
00:38:33Watch Jay Bellamy.
00:38:35He's the fill right there.
00:38:37He's responsible. Boom.
00:38:39He just gets trucked by Antoine
00:38:41Smith. And that's what Antoine Smith
00:38:43has brought to this team. He's brought that
00:38:45presence of a power run team.
00:38:47They don't get the ball outside the tackle as much.
00:38:49It's all downhill. There he goes.
00:38:51Tried to go outside that time, but he was
00:38:53tripped up by Charlie Clemens, the middle
00:38:55linebacker. Tenth carry of the game for
00:38:57Antoine Smith, who already
00:38:59has surpassed the rushing leader
00:39:01last year, Kevin Falk.
00:39:03And you know, they're really settled in.
00:39:05For three, four years up here,
00:39:07they've been searching for a primary
00:39:09running back. Somebody that can do this
00:39:11down, after down, after down.
00:39:13And Smith has been the guy this year.
00:39:15As much as Brady has been
00:39:17a part of the success with his accuracy
00:39:19and his poise under pressure, a lot
00:39:21of the credit has to go to Antoine Smith.
00:39:23Kevin Falk is in.
00:39:25Third and two. Patton in motion.
00:39:27Out of the shotgun. It's Falk. He juggles
00:39:29the ball. He turns the corner.
00:39:31First down the window.
00:39:33Up to the 34-yard
00:39:35line. Fred Thomas made the
00:39:37stop. Good job by Kevin Falk.
00:39:39Little juggle at the start.
00:39:41Then he got it going.
00:39:43There's a little short motion
00:39:45inside here. And that was enough.
00:39:47That brought in
00:39:49Weary inside. Then Thomas
00:39:51gets blocked
00:39:53by the tackle, Matt Light.
00:39:55When they're manned up like that
00:39:57and they have coverage and they have the short motion,
00:39:59that takes them out of the way and they threw
00:40:01the toss to that side.
00:40:03First down spotted at the
00:40:0523-yard line.
00:40:07Rod Rutledge in motion.
00:40:09Brady.
00:40:11Mark Edwards the fullback.
00:40:13First down up the 45-yard
00:40:15line. And New England
00:40:17continues to mix it up beautifully.
00:40:1912-yard pickup
00:40:21on the play.
00:40:23They're taking high percentage passes.
00:40:25They're crossing around.
00:40:27The short curls inside. How about the swings
00:40:29and streams? There's Brady.
00:40:31They've got the defense going one way
00:40:33and then they flip the ball
00:40:35outside on a little swing.
00:40:37Edwards is always going to pick you up a couple more yards.
00:40:39Patriots with 183
00:40:41yards in offense
00:40:43thus far in the first half.
00:40:45Brady.
00:40:49Paul takes the handoff.
00:40:51Last contact.
00:40:53It's up to the 49-yard line.
00:40:55Keith Mitchell made the stop.
00:40:57I tell you,
00:40:59it's very, very frustrating as a defensive
00:41:01climber when you
00:41:03can't dictate to the offense
00:41:05what they're going to do. Right now,
00:41:07the defensive front for the
00:41:09New Orleans Saints has no idea
00:41:11if they're going left, if they're going right,
00:41:13if they're going to screen you, if they're going to pass
00:41:15at you. Everything, look at where
00:41:17they're going. It's even. Passes
00:41:19and runs. But even more even,
00:41:21we don't have it, I'm sure, is where they're
00:41:23going. Right, left, middle.
00:41:27Rod Rutledge in motion.
00:41:29Brady
00:41:31short drop. The pass was tipped.
00:41:33Second time that's happened.
00:41:35Darren Smith, the linebacker, number
00:41:3754, good penetration.
00:41:39Deflected the pass.
00:41:41There's a war that goes on in the trenches
00:41:43between the offensive line and the defensive line.
00:41:45And
00:41:47one group is predicating
00:41:49to the other group what's going
00:41:51to happen. Right now, the
00:41:53offensive line for the New England Patriots
00:41:55is predicating what is going to happen
00:41:57to the New Orleans Saints.
00:41:59They've got them on their heels. They've taken them
00:42:01out of their game plan. They've got them thinking.
00:42:03And the worst thing you can do for a defensive lineman
00:42:05is have them start thinking, Sam.
00:42:07Three wide receivers in.
00:42:09Faulks in the backfield. Brady out of the shotgun.
00:42:11Being pressured.
00:42:13Steps up and goes deep.
00:42:15Way down for David Patton.
00:42:17Incomplete tag on the fly.
00:42:19Brett
00:42:21Thomas and
00:42:23David Patton.
00:42:25And it's Thomas
00:42:27for pass interference.
00:42:33A one-on-one battle.
00:42:35Automatic first down.
00:42:37I can tell you
00:42:39what. There's a lot of pushing and
00:42:41shoving going on. Look, their arms are tied up
00:42:43right there. That's just incidental
00:42:45contact. But Thomas
00:42:47I think the
00:42:49last push was more than incidental
00:42:51though, Bill. They were both
00:42:53pushing and shoving. Thomas
00:42:55is looking back at the ball.
00:42:57I don't know...
00:43:01He spots the ball at the 8-yard
00:43:03line. 42-yard
00:43:05penalty. First and
00:43:07goal, Patriots. Antoine Smith
00:43:09in the backfield.
00:43:11Play fake by Brady.
00:43:13He throws!
00:43:15And it's picked by Thomas!
00:43:17Touchdown, New England!
00:43:24Brett
00:43:26Thomas came into this game as a
00:43:28locked down, shut down corner.
00:43:30You man him up on your best receiver
00:43:32and he takes care of him.
00:43:34Well, they manned him up on Troy
00:43:36Brown for the most part of this day.
00:43:38Troy Brown is coming out on top.
00:43:40Being a locked down corner isn't all
00:43:42what it's cracked up to be. That's like being
00:43:44a gunslinger in the Old West. At high
00:43:46noon every week, you've got a duel.
00:43:53Second touchdown pass for
00:43:55Tom Brady in the game. Gives him
00:43:5714. Fifth touchdown reception
00:43:59of the season for Troy
00:44:01Brown. Extra point.
00:44:03Ken Walter
00:44:05throwing into the end zone
00:44:07and it's broken up.
00:44:09Looks like Walter hesitated on the
00:44:11snap. Yeah, I don't think he got
00:44:13a good grip on that snap as it got back
00:44:15there. When he wanted to put it down, there was
00:44:17a hesitation.
00:44:19Play action.
00:44:21And this is a heck of a throw too.
00:44:23Sammy Knight had him
00:44:25carrying him deep into the end zone.
00:44:27He gave up and looked at the ball.
00:44:29The ball went over top of Knight into the hands
00:44:31of Brown.
00:44:37A good day already for
00:44:39Troy Brown. Five catches, 65
00:44:41yards and one touchdown
00:44:43in the Patriots.
00:44:45Have a 13 to nothing lead.
00:44:47The extra point
00:44:49is no good.
00:44:51Antoine Smith has been running so good
00:44:53that corners are biting on his action.
00:44:55Line drive kicked by
00:44:57Vinatieri to Deuce McAllister at the one.
00:44:59McAllister
00:45:01at the sideline is pushed
00:45:03out of bounds by Matt Stevens
00:45:05at the 23-yard line.
00:45:07Watch Fred Thomas.
00:45:09Aggressive corners New Orleans
00:45:11has. He falls for the play
00:45:13action inside. He sees the fake.
00:45:15He steps up and he's frozen. Now
00:45:17Sammy Knight, he has Troy Brown
00:45:19and kind of looks back for the quarterback.
00:45:21One thing you should never do as a defensive back
00:45:23is look back at the quarterback to see
00:45:25what's going on. Now was this a fake?
00:45:27No, he just hesitated. The kicker hesitated
00:45:29and Walter took
00:45:31the ball away. You can always tell
00:45:33it's a fake because your wingman will go out
00:45:35for a pass too, not just the
00:45:37offensive lineman, the eligible tackle.
00:45:41They're yelling at him. They said, why didn't you keep the ball down?
00:45:43Deuce McAllister
00:45:45split out
00:45:47to the right side.
00:45:49A quarterback
00:45:51draw by Aaron Brooks. He gets
00:45:53about a yard on the play.
00:45:55Willie McInnis made the tackle.
00:45:57Right now it is all New England
00:45:59as the Saints
00:46:01just don't seem to have their game together.
00:46:03The Battle of the News.
00:46:05And it's
00:46:07New England. New England
00:46:09is playing defensively like I
00:46:11anticipated New Orleans
00:46:13to play defensively. That's a good point.
00:46:15Saints have struggled outdoors
00:46:17this season. They lost to the Giants
00:46:19at the Meadowlands. They lost a tough
00:46:21one in San Francisco.
00:46:27Just edged out Carolina on the last play of the game.
00:46:29That pass almost
00:46:31intercepted Mike
00:46:33Grable. Mike
00:46:35Grable almost picked
00:46:37it off.
00:46:42He's looking for Ricky Williams
00:46:44and hits Grable
00:46:46right in his chest.
00:46:50Here's Grable.
00:46:52He knew he had it.
00:46:54He was actually coming off a blitz.
00:46:56He was up into the line of scrimmage
00:46:58and bounced back out.
00:47:00Six defensive backs in for the
00:47:02Patriots.
00:47:04On third and
00:47:06ten.
00:47:08He fires incomplete.
00:47:10Mike Buckley on the coverage of Joe
00:47:12Horn.
00:47:14Three and out for the
00:47:16Saints.
00:47:18As their struggles continue.
00:47:22Going into the win.
00:47:24It's been a tough start to the game
00:47:26for Aaron Brooks.
00:47:28After two real good efforts
00:47:30in San Francisco and in
00:47:32against Indianapolis last week.
00:47:35Dolan's kick held up by
00:47:37the wind. Fair catch.
00:47:39Caught by Joe Brown of the 47
00:47:41yard line.
00:47:45Great field position
00:47:47for the Patriots
00:47:49who have a 13-0 lead.
00:47:53Saints defense.
00:47:55The pressure is on them, Bill.
00:47:57There's no kidding there's pressure on them.
00:47:59Especially if you look over the last four weeks.
00:48:01They've given up a ton of points.
00:48:03Tom Brady on the
00:48:05toss to Antoine Smith.
00:48:07He's taken down as he
00:48:09just got back to the line of scrimmage.
00:48:11Joe Johnson made the
00:48:13tackle. Starting defensive line back in
00:48:15for New Orleans.
00:48:19The coaches really talking about the play
00:48:21of Joe Johnson this year.
00:48:23He's just really, he's
00:48:25a man. He really is and he man
00:48:27handles the people he plays
00:48:29against. He's just one of those
00:48:31back country strong guys
00:48:33that can just grab you like a bear and
00:48:35chuck you to the side.
00:48:37Patriots have Patrick Paz,
00:48:39Mark Edwards and Antoine Smith
00:48:41in the lineup. The pass shifting.
00:48:43The play fake by Brady.
00:48:45He's looking deep. He's throwing
00:48:47and it's incomplete. Tried to get it to
00:48:49Patrick Paz who was matched up
00:48:51against the middle linebacker Charlie Clemens.
00:48:55That was something different for New England.
00:48:57Well, yeah. Two plays back
00:48:59to back was all different. They tried to run that
00:49:01outside play.
00:49:03And they normally don't run the plays outside
00:49:05except for a crack toss.
00:49:07Because they don't have the speed offensively to get out of there.
00:49:09Then they came back with a little fullback motion.
00:49:11Wheel route down the sidelines
00:49:13and Brady just overthrew him.
00:49:15Three wide receivers go
00:49:17to the right. J.R. Redman is in the backfield.
00:49:19Brady is
00:49:2110 for 6, 147
00:49:23yards.
00:49:25On third down.
00:49:27Brady.
00:49:29Troy Brown.
00:49:31Saints bring him down
00:49:33at the New Orleans 47 yard
00:49:35line. Fred Weary, number 24
00:49:37with the initial hint.
00:49:41And that's a good defensive stand for the Saints.
00:49:43Well, that was.
00:49:45And they were being a little physical too.
00:49:47They closed the pocket in a hurry.
00:49:49They rattled Brady a little bit.
00:49:51They knocked him down on that play.
00:49:53And they made big contact.
00:49:55Brown made the catch and they were there closing.
00:49:57Remember on the first play there was nothing to the
00:49:59outside.
00:50:01Ken Walters, second punt of the game.
00:50:09Good kick with the
00:50:11wind. Bounces at the 5.
00:50:13Patriots trying to down it.
00:50:15And they do it. The 1 yard line.
00:50:17How about that kick coverage?
00:50:19The Bucky
00:50:21Jones was down there.
00:50:23Down the 46 yard punt by Ken
00:50:25Walters.
00:50:30Bucky
00:50:32Jones was down there pretty close
00:50:34to the goal line.
00:50:36If he touched that white, and he does.
00:50:38Right there. He cannot
00:50:40down the ball.
00:50:42He cannot down the ball there.
00:50:49No, he did not.
00:50:51No, he did not.
00:50:53To reestablish yourself before you touch
00:50:55the ball, you have to have two feet
00:50:57within the field of play.
00:50:59Let's see.
00:51:01No.
00:51:03Yeah, maybe.
00:51:05He did.
00:51:07Just did get it.
00:51:09From the 1 yard line.
00:51:11A lot of noise.
00:51:13Haslund is going to challenge it.
00:51:15And this is going to be very, very close.
00:51:19Alright.
00:51:21Coach of the New Orleans Saints
00:51:23agrees with you. He thinks that
00:51:25it's very close.
00:51:27And didn't reestablish. Jerry Austin says he did.
00:51:43And this is a play that can be
00:51:45reviewed because it talks
00:51:47about the
00:51:49goal line, the boundaries of the field.
00:51:51New Orleans is challenging
00:51:53whether the kicking team player
00:51:55reestablished in the field of play
00:51:57before touching the football.
00:51:59Let's
00:52:01take a look.
00:52:03We can get it up here.
00:52:05There he's in.
00:52:07He's in the end zone.
00:52:09He's still on the end line.
00:52:111, 2.
00:52:13Looks like
00:52:15it's OK. 1, 2.
00:52:17He's got it. Two feet in
00:52:19before he touched it.
00:52:23So
00:52:25now
00:52:27the challenge
00:52:29made by the Saints.
00:52:31Jerry Austin will check out.
00:52:33Very close.
00:52:35Very close. And
00:52:37the back judge, I believe, is the one that's
00:52:39back there.
00:52:41In the position. He's the one that had
00:52:43the eye on it.
00:52:454.45 remaining in the first half.
00:52:47New England leading 13 to nothing.
00:52:49At live
00:52:51speed, that was very, very close.
00:52:53Good job by the
00:52:55officials.
00:53:03Of course, the difference
00:53:05here would be if it were a touchback,
00:53:07it would be back at the 20, but I think the quick
00:53:09review
00:53:11by Jerry Austin,
00:53:13the ruling on the field will be upheld
00:53:15and it will cost
00:53:17New Orleans a timeout.
00:53:37That's a good explanation by
00:53:39referee Jerry Austin. Good job.
00:53:41It was more along the lines of two or three
00:53:43steps, but it was still a great
00:53:45call. Especially when it was
00:53:47live. I mean, that was fast. It was down
00:53:49there, and I thought I saw his foot hit the end
00:53:51zone, but then the other bodies came
00:53:53down and around it and blocked
00:53:55the view of whether he reestablished it.
00:53:59The Saints
00:54:01working against the wind and against the
00:54:03crowd.
00:54:07Ricky Williams.
00:54:11Maybe two yards on the play.
00:54:13Richard Seymour, number 93,
00:54:15the rookie in the middle, who is really
00:54:17coming on after coming back from a
00:54:19hamstring injury. They think this guy is going
00:54:21to be dominant, but watch the play
00:54:23of 93 and 96.
00:54:25That's Seymour and
00:54:27Mitchell. They just dominate
00:54:29the middle. They clog everything
00:54:31up as they try to go through.
00:54:33And you know, that's what it takes in today's
00:54:35NFL. You need two dominant
00:54:37defensive tackles, and then your
00:54:39whole defense works. Ricky Williams,
00:54:41who carries 26 yards,
00:54:43tries it again, cuts
00:54:45it back, and
00:54:47spins out to about the six-yard line,
00:54:49picked up about three on the play.
00:54:53Once again, Richard
00:54:55Seymour was there to make the tackle.
00:54:57You don't think Teddy Bruschi, look, he's back here,
00:54:59and he's got these guys in front of him.
00:55:01He doesn't love this. Look, they take on
00:55:03everybody in here. Look at this. They've got all
00:55:05the traffic in there, and then the linebackers
00:55:07come and clean up.
00:55:09Seymour even
00:55:11spins back at it and gets a piece.
00:55:13New Orleans.
00:55:17Third down play.
00:55:19Aaron Brooks, two for eight.
00:55:21O for his last four.
00:55:23Has three wide receivers in.
00:55:25Rolls being chased by Pleasant.
00:55:27Throws deep and into play.
00:55:29Clark on the fly.
00:55:31Joe Horn was
00:55:33double-covered by Terrence Shaw
00:55:35and Tabaki Jones.
00:55:37But this is going to go against New England.
00:55:45Terrell Buckley is a man
00:55:47called for the interference. My apologies.
00:55:51Belichick upset with a call.
00:56:03Horn and Buckley.
00:56:05Oh, that's right there. That's on Buck.
00:56:07That's Buck.
00:56:09That's T. Buck on Horn.
00:56:11The ball was in the air when he
00:56:13was giving him the business on the sidelines there.
00:56:15So New Orleans
00:56:17moves out to the 20-yard line.
00:56:19Four linebackers in for New England.
00:56:21Ricky Williams in motion.
00:56:23Brooks in trouble. Gets rid of it.
00:56:25That looked like a lateral pass.
00:56:27That looked like a lateral pass
00:56:29that went at him out. And that's where
00:56:31that thing's going to be spotted.
00:56:33Anthony
00:56:35pleasant big-time pressure.
00:56:39See where that ball
00:56:41went, Sam.
00:56:47In front.
00:56:49They rolled an incomplete pass.
00:56:51But that looked like it was behind the line of scrimmage.
00:56:53I thought so.
00:56:55Behind him.
00:56:57They mark it back at the 19-yard
00:56:59line at second and 10.
00:57:03Play fake. Brooks in
00:57:05pressure and throws behind
00:57:07to Horn. And Brooks
00:57:09was hit down hard
00:57:13by Willie McGinnis.
00:57:19McGinnis coming off the back
00:57:21side.
00:57:25That's normally Willie Roach's side.
00:57:27Darrell Terrell playing for
00:57:29the injured Willie Roach.
00:57:31He may have knee surgery this week
00:57:33and they're concerned he might be done for the
00:57:35season. And that's
00:57:37a tough job over there playing on
00:57:39that island. Not only that, they're a lot better
00:57:41running the football when they got Willie in there too.
00:57:43Brooks
00:57:45being rushed by Seymour.
00:57:47Completes to Joe Horn.
00:57:49And he's up to the 42-yard
00:57:51line.
00:57:53Good throw by
00:57:55Aaron Brooks under pressure
00:57:57getting Joe Horn
00:57:59a 23-yard pickup at a
00:58:01first down. Joe Horn
00:58:03loves the football, as most receivers do.
00:58:05But he's the kind of guy that
00:58:07has a Randy Mosh mentality about him.
00:58:09He wants it all the time.
00:58:11And if you're not throwing it to him, and if you don't get it to him
00:58:13often enough, he kind of gets his
00:58:15dobber down a little bit and then becomes ineffective.
00:58:17You mean the competitive
00:58:19Joe Horn who plays marbles.
00:58:23Brooks being chased once
00:58:25again. Gets rid of it. And it
00:58:27is incomplete.
00:58:29And that's
00:58:31Eddie Boone-Williams on the
00:58:33sideline, the tight end.
00:58:35You know, New Orleans
00:58:37needs to get it going. It's
00:58:39tough. And I've done this before.
00:58:41When you play an inter-conference team,
00:58:43it's not in your division.
00:58:45In a whole other conference, and you have to go to some
00:58:47place that you've been maybe
00:58:49one time before. I don't know if any of these guys have been
00:58:51there before. It's really
00:58:53tough because you don't know much about them.
00:58:55There's no emotion involved with them.
00:58:57It's just a game on your schedule.
00:58:59Last time the Saints were up in New England
00:59:01was 1995.
00:59:03Here's 2nd and 10.
00:59:05Ricky
00:59:07Williams bouncing off
00:59:09his own man is Russell Downs
00:59:11of the 45-yard line.
00:59:13Loyer-Malloy came in to make
00:59:15the tackle for the Patriots.
00:59:1710 carries
00:59:1932 yards for Ricky
00:59:21Williams. And
00:59:23in their conference battle that's going on right here
00:59:25right now, New England's
00:59:27showing them what their conference is all
00:59:29about, what their division is all about,
00:59:31what tough physical football
00:59:33is all about. And New Orleans
00:59:35hasn't responded yet. They haven't woken up yet.
00:59:37You know, they started off the last couple
00:59:39weeks. They've been behind. It takes them a while.
00:59:41Remember in St. Louis, they went into the locker
00:59:43room, and Kyle Turley had to go nuts
00:59:45in there on everybody until they got going.
00:59:47Two-minute warning. Patriots with a
00:59:4913-0 lead.
00:59:53Fox NFL
00:59:55Sunday is brought to you by the
00:59:57New York Stock Exchange. The world
00:59:59puts its stock in us.
01:00:05Patriots
01:00:07have done a good job on Ricky Williams.
01:00:09Well, you know, I think that new look,
01:00:11four-man front, and the two
01:00:13defensive tackles have really played a factor
01:00:15in this. If you don't know what you're going to prepare
01:00:17for, and you're thinking it's going to be a 34,
01:00:19and then you're starting
01:00:21to see the middle linebacker goes out,
01:00:23Teddy Johnson, you've got to make adjustments.
01:00:25And adjustments panned out well for New England.
01:00:27On third down, Brooks holds pressure,
01:00:29and a big hit by Joe Horn.
01:00:31Lawyer Malloy
01:00:33was right there. Letting him know all about it,
01:00:35too. And that's what New England's been doing
01:00:37all day, both offensively and defensively.
01:00:39They've been rattling the bad
01:00:41boys, because New Orleans has built
01:00:43that image for themselves of the bad boys
01:00:45on the block. Well, New England wants no part
01:00:47of it. They haven't been getting
01:00:49Aaron Brooks, but they've gotten
01:00:51enough pressure to force him to
01:00:53throw a little bit off. He's throwing quick,
01:00:55too, Sam.
01:00:59The wind holds it up.
01:01:01Way forward, the 21-yard line
01:01:03by Troy Brown.
01:01:05Minute 50,
01:01:07minute 49 remaining in the first half.
01:01:09Patriots have the ball
01:01:11for a 34-yard punt.
01:01:13Next Sunday is a Fox NFL Sunday
01:01:15doubleheader. And, of course, it
01:01:17begins with the undisputed champion
01:01:19of free game shows. Then we've got a big
01:01:21inter-conference battle, the Vikings
01:01:23and the Steelers. And
01:01:25in the second game, Marshall
01:01:27Falk and the Rams take on the Atlanta
01:01:29Falcons. Dallas will be at
01:01:31Washington. Arizona at Oakland.
01:01:33New Orleans needs to
01:01:35wake up, just because of that second game. You know,
01:01:37you talk about Atlanta Falcons. They're back in the
01:01:39thick of things now. Were they 6-5
01:01:41and 4? Good win for them
01:01:43in Carolina.
01:01:45Chris Chandler.
01:01:47Peyton
01:01:49Manning was picked off four times
01:01:51by the 49ers, who won again.
01:01:53J.R. Redman in the backfield.
01:01:55Three wide receivers.
01:01:57The blitz coming, and Covins
01:01:59knocks the ball loose. And it's
01:02:01recovered by Fred Weary,
01:02:03I believe, of New Orleans.
01:02:05He had
01:02:07the ball momentarily. Let's see. The
01:02:09signal is Patriots' ball.
01:02:12Weary
01:02:14was down there. He had a shot
01:02:16at the fumble recovery.
01:02:18He gets a jump on the
01:02:20outside, and the back
01:02:22comes up in the middle. And the tackle,
01:02:24who hasn't been practicing all that much,
01:02:26Leite, the rookie, he
01:02:28bit on the inside.
01:02:30Big
01:02:32hit by Charlie Clemens, the middle
01:02:34linebacker.
01:02:36And Fred
01:02:38Weary was right there. He had a chance
01:02:40to recover the ball, but missed it.
01:03:00Um, actually,
01:03:02everybody's snowboarding.
01:03:04Especially in the Wasatch backcountry,
01:03:06where the Wasatch Powderbird guys can fly
01:03:08you to snowboarding heaven, as long
01:03:10as you've got what it takes.
01:03:18St. Louis Rams
01:03:20play tomorrow night.
01:03:22They lead the NFC West,
01:03:24San Francisco at 8-2, Atlanta
01:03:266-4. So that just
01:03:28emphasizes the importance of this game
01:03:30for the New Orleans Saints.
01:03:32It's a turning point game for them.
01:03:34Edwards and Smith
01:03:36in the backfield for New England.
01:03:38From the 15, the blitz coming.
01:03:40It's Antoine Smith.
01:03:42Finds the hole. And he's
01:03:44up to the 25, maybe the
01:03:4626-yard line.
01:03:48Jay Bellamy made the tackle.
01:03:52Buck running with a minute 15 remaining.
01:03:56Saints have only one timeout
01:03:58remaining. Two-minute offense.
01:04:00Tom Brady, his rating
01:04:02has been outstanding. The best in the AFC.
01:04:04And you don't think this is a crazy year in the NFL.
01:04:06I mean,
01:04:08nothing against Tom Brady. I think he's a fantastic
01:04:10guy. We sat down and talked with him.
01:04:12And you can see what the coaches and players
01:04:14like about him. I mean, there's something about
01:04:16this guy that's real endearing that you
01:04:18would follow and trust. He's got the poise
01:04:20about him.
01:04:22On third down, Antoine Smith
01:04:24sneaks through, and he's got
01:04:26a first down.
01:04:28Oh, he kept those legs
01:04:30churning.
01:04:32I do. Wow.
01:04:34That is not New Orleans
01:04:36defense.
01:04:38You know, Sam, ever since they sent
01:04:40Kyle Turley to anger management, I think
01:04:42the whole team got a little softer.
01:04:44Maybe.
01:04:46One guy is running hard.
01:04:48It's Antoine Smith.
01:04:52Patriots, a
01:04:54first down to their own 38.
01:04:56With 38 seconds remaining
01:04:58in the first half. Brady.
01:05:02Nobody open. Pulls it down
01:05:04and runs. Tripped up. Dives
01:05:06up to the 49-yard line
01:05:08and gets up and calls timeout.
01:05:10That was pretty impressive.
01:05:14That was pretty impressive.
01:05:16That's good
01:05:18to see.
01:05:20He's been a big supporter of Tom Brady
01:05:22and has helped him a lot.
01:05:24Well, they have a little
01:05:26roll going here. Now, it looks like he's open,
01:05:28but they drop Weary back over, and he gets
01:05:30covered up quick, so they roll to this side.
01:05:32And he's looking for something right in here.
01:05:34But everybody got covered up real quick.
01:05:36So he sets, then he
01:05:38sees grass over on that side, and he takes the
01:05:40opening, and then there's some missed tackles. There's one.
01:05:42He's diving forward. He lunges.
01:05:44I believe he has enough for the first down.
01:05:46He's not in
01:05:48awe of playing in the NFL, is he, Bill?
01:05:50No. You know, the funny thing about it
01:05:52is, he said, hey, I played in
01:05:54Michigan. There's over 100,000 people at those
01:05:56stands, and then I go to Wisconsin. There's almost
01:05:58100 there, and Ohio State, 100 there.
01:06:00Penn State, 100 there. So
01:06:02he's used to it. You know, it's
01:06:04no big deal for him. And that's
01:06:06the presence he has. It's not a cockiness, either.
01:06:08I mean, it's just
01:06:10a guy you want to be around.
01:06:12They need about 20 yards to get
01:06:14in field goal position. They've
01:06:16got the wind at their backs.
01:06:18On first down,
01:06:20Brady on the play fake steps up.
01:06:22And the middle wide open.
01:06:24And a first down,
01:06:26David Patton inside
01:06:28the 25-yard line. They're in
01:06:30field goal range. That was a busted
01:06:32coverage right there.
01:06:34Because there's nobody even around David
01:06:36Patton. You know, we've talked a lot about
01:06:38Troy Brown, but David Patton has given them
01:06:40a lot this year. That's another one
01:06:42of those guys that they brought in. Watch David
01:06:44Patton come out of the bunch. He gets lost
01:06:46in here, and nobody picks him up.
01:06:48Fred Thomas is sitting inside and looking
01:06:50at everybody else, and Patton runs right by
01:06:52him. That's out of that bunch group.
01:06:54You know, when you're on the fly, you're under
01:06:56two minutes, and you get in that bunch, and you're
01:06:58playing zone, and when they break out of that,
01:07:00you've got to match up with them.
01:07:02Picked up
01:07:0427 on the play.
01:07:06And now the Patriots are in field goal
01:07:08range as Tom Brady has
01:07:10spread the ball around. Brown has been
01:07:12the key guy, but Patton,
01:07:14Edwards the fullback, Smith, Wiggins
01:07:16the tight end. They've all
01:07:18gotten involved as the Patriots
01:07:20offense has been outstanding.
01:07:22257 yards
01:07:24in the first half. Well, if you
01:07:26talk about the New England Patriots offensively,
01:07:28they are a unit, and they do everything
01:07:30well, and Charlie Weiss does a good job of
01:07:32play-calling and getting receivers
01:07:34open. 16 seconds,
01:07:36one timeout remaining. Brady rolling
01:07:38and throwing. It is
01:07:40caught for a touchdown!
01:07:46Charles Johnson!
01:07:52How about
01:07:54the Patriots?
01:07:56How about Brady?
01:08:00Drew Bledsoe right there
01:08:02telling him, great job. I mean, you know,
01:08:04Drew Bledsoe was sitting on the sideline
01:08:06smiling, because the kid was sitting
01:08:08there in the pocket, there's bodies flying all around him,
01:08:10and he throws a bullet into
01:08:12tight zone coverage
01:08:14into the third wide receiver's
01:08:16hands, and the Patriots
01:08:18take the lead.
01:08:20Wide receiver's hands,
01:08:22another man who gets into the mix.
01:08:26And the extra point is through.
01:08:30It is 20 to nothing, New
01:08:32England.
01:08:34Here they are in a deep
01:08:36zone.
01:08:38Three deep, and everyone's just waiting.
01:08:40Bellamy's closing over the top, Matthews is
01:08:42waiting on them, and sometimes when you get
01:08:44caught in that zone, and you got a guy that can
01:08:46throw a strike like Brady, look at the ball!
01:08:48Right over the fingertips of the linebacker,
01:08:50right into Johnson's hands,
01:08:52that's called dissecting the zone.
01:08:54Carl Johnson was brought in from Philadelphia,
01:08:56he hadn't done all that much
01:08:58all season, but that's his
01:09:00first touchdown catch.
01:09:02They went to the back side of the strong receivers
01:09:04too, he had Brown on the
01:09:06other side, along with Patton.
01:09:08If you're gonna play zone
01:09:10coverage in a two-minute situation, you're gonna
01:09:12favor the other two guys, just because
01:09:14of the numbers they've had.
01:09:1678 yards in
01:09:18six plays, 10 seconds
01:09:20remaining in the first half,
01:09:22and the Patriots with a
01:09:2420 to nothing lead.
01:09:26I wish we had a
01:09:28camera in New Orleans
01:09:30Saints locker room at halftime, I'd like to
01:09:32see and listen to that.
01:09:36You'd have to, you know what, it would have to be
01:09:38one of those paper channels
01:09:40to watch, listen to that.
01:09:42Right now
01:09:44the Saints are stunned.
01:09:48Vinatieri kicking off
01:09:50on the ground.
01:09:54Picked up and brought back by a friend

01:10:32speech.
01:10:34Ricky Williams
01:10:36big hole
01:10:38gets up to the 49-yard line.
01:10:40And we reach the end of the
01:10:42first half. The New England
01:10:44Patriots get a standing
01:10:46ovation from their fans.
01:10:48Three touchdown
01:10:50passes for Tom Brady
01:10:52leading the way at halftime.
01:10:54It's the Patriots 20
01:10:56and the Saints nothing.
01:10:58We'll be right back.
01:11:00Welcome back
01:11:02to Foxborough where the New England
01:11:04Patriots lead the New Orleans
01:11:06Saints 20 to nothing. The big story
01:11:08has been the quarterback situation.
01:11:10In week two, Drew Bloods
01:11:12in the fourth quarter against the
01:11:14New York Jets was hit by
01:11:16Mo Lewis. Suffered a
01:11:18severed
01:11:20blood vessel in his chest.
01:11:22A career-threatening
01:11:24injury. He was inactive
01:11:26for seven weeks. He has
01:11:28been cleared to play.
01:11:30He is healthy once again.
01:11:32But Levin
01:11:34Reid has more on the quarterback situation.
01:11:36Go ahead, Levin. I'll tell you what, guys.
01:11:38What's the difference between this quarterback
01:11:40controversy and the one they had in Buffalo is these two guys
01:11:42are good friends. When it all went down in week two,
01:11:44Drew helped Brady become what
01:11:46he is right now. Showed him some tape and said,
01:11:48you know what? This is what's going to make you better.
01:11:50And then when this went down this week,
01:11:52Belichick named Brady the guy. Well, Drew
01:11:54called Brady and said, you know what? It's OK.
01:11:56We're going to be fine. I'm still a
01:11:58competitor. I just want to play football. You go
01:12:00out there and lead this team.
01:12:02Right on the mark with that, Levin. Thanks very much.
01:12:04Deuce McAllister on the return
01:12:06up across the 30 to the 31
01:12:08yard line. Rain falling
01:12:10again. 23-yard return
01:12:12for Deuce McAllister in the first
01:12:14half. Patriots 281
01:12:16total yards
01:12:18to New Orleans, 131.
01:12:20Yeah, the time of possession, too.
