00:00Good afternoon. A bit of a dull day for many of us today. It will turn clearer tomorrow
00:04but also quite windy as we head into Thursday. But so far today, let's have a look at the
00:09satellite picture. This is from 6 o'clock this morning. You can see a large bank of
00:13cloud across the U.K. Let's have a look at a few more details. We've got some weather
00:17fronts bringing that cloud, also some rain as well. The first weather front allowed some
00:21drizzly rain to develop for much of the U.K. But it's this main weather front, the cold
00:26front lying to the west, that's going to be bringing the heavier spell of rain as we
00:30head towards the afternoon and into this evening. So across north-western areas throughout this
00:35morning so far, we've started to see some of those heavier bursts. And the band will
00:38push into parts of Wales, south-western England as well, bringing a greater risk of some drizzly
00:43rain, particularly over the coast and high ground. That's where we could see some fog
00:47around as well, some mist too. Further east, it should stay dry through much of the day.
00:52If you are in any high ground or at the coast, though, it could still be a little bit damp.
00:56And there will be some brighter spells in the east. So temperatures climbing to around
01:0020 degrees, not feeling too bad, probably a little muggy in fact. But actually towards
01:05the west later on this afternoon into this evening, once that band clears through, it
01:09turns much breezier and clearer into this evening across more north-western areas of
01:14Scotland, Northern Ireland, and then elsewhere across the U.K. as the night progresses. The
01:19winds will remain the strongest for up to the north and west, where we're close to an
01:22area of low pressure. We'll also see some very frequent heavy and possibly thundery
01:27showers pushing in to parts of western Scotland. Elsewhere, though, it should stay dry overnight
01:32once this main band clears away to the east. And with clearer skies around, it's going
01:37to be a slightly fresher start tomorrow, but it will be brighter. So there'll be more in
01:41the way of sunshine to come on Thursday, which is, of course, Election Day, but also some
01:46frequent heavy showers across the far north-west of Scotland, which again could be thundery
01:51into the afternoon. And the winds will remain quite brisk here, and it's actually going
01:54to be a fairly breezy day for much of the U.K. But in any sheltered sunshine, it will
02:00feel a little bit warmer with temperatures climbing into the lower 20s, quite widely
02:05into the high teens as well. But if you are towards the north and west, you will definitely
02:09notice a bit of a wind chill through Thursday. Now, looking ahead to Thursday evening, this
02:14area of rain lying out to the south and west will start to approach parts of Devon and
02:19Cornwall, bringing cloudier skies as well to Wales. And that rain will become more widely
02:24felt for many central and southern areas as we head towards Friday. So please keep up
02:28to date with the details on the rain for Friday. And you can do that by subscribing to our
02:32YouTube channel. See you soon. Bye bye.
