00:00Hello. It'll be a cooler afternoon for many of us than lately, but as we head towards
00:04the weekend, it looks like we'll see one final burst of summer for northern areas. Across
00:10the south though, a different story. There is a yellow rain warning in forces. Low pressure
00:14is set to dominate and linger all the way through into the weekend, persisting particularly
00:20across the south coast, where we could see up to 100mm of rain falling in just a couple
00:25of days. As I said, that heavy rain will last until the weekend. Further north though,
00:30it's a very different story, with higher pressure dominating, easterly winds bringing the best
00:34of the fine weather to western areas of Northern Ireland, Scotland, North West and England.
00:39But through today, we still have some weather fronts to come across these areas of North
00:43West and England. There's a risk of some quite heavy showers across South West and Scotland,
00:47Northern Ireland, North West England, North Wales as well in particular. Some sunny spells
00:51in between these showers though, and the winds are quite light, so that means the showers
00:54will take a while to clear. But if you do get any sunshine, it won't feel too bad.
00:59Across the east though, quite a lot of cloud around, a cloudier day than yesterday for
01:03some eastern areas and temperatures, as I said, a little lower than recently, quite
01:08widely in the mid, just about the high teens, possibly 21 degrees across the south and east,
01:14but still feeling pretty fresh, particularly in any of those showers across the north and
01:18west. The showers will continue, particularly across eastern areas overnight. We get quite
01:23a lot of cloud coming in off the North Sea, but it's actually across more southern areas
01:26where the rain starts to intensify overnight. There will be pulses of heavy showers through
01:31the next 48 hours or so across these areas. So not everywhere we'll see the rain, but
01:36where you do see it, it could bring quite a large amount of rain in a shorter space
01:39of time. Now, across the north and west, we're starting to see that fine weather develop
01:43by Thursday morning, so it will likely be a fine start. Temperatures not quite as low
01:47as they were last night, but definitely a fresh, fairly fresh start across the north
01:51and west parts of Northern Ireland, western Scotland. Further south, a mildish start to
01:56the day. Temperatures around 11 to 13 degrees, a little cooler than it has been lately as
02:00we're developing this more north easterly wind direction. And that will bring in cloud
02:05quite continuously through Thursday morning across eastern areas of England, eastern Scotland.
02:10But it's across the south where this rain will come and go through the day. It's particularly
02:15likely to see some heavy bursts across more southwestern areas of the warning area, parts
02:19of south Wales, the southern counties of England as well. But as I said, a very different
02:24story for the north Northern Ireland and western Scotland, seeing the best of things with temperatures
02:28here up to around 21 or 22 degrees. Now into Thursday evening, there's very little change.
02:35In fact, it stays fairly cloudy across eastern areas, very heavy rain, likely some travel
02:40disruption across the south, but fine and dry across the north and west. And conditions
02:45remain the same into Friday as well. And Scotland are expected to see some of their
02:49warmest days since May. But you can find out more details on that on our latest 10 day
02:54trend on YouTube. See you again soon. Bye bye.
