00:00Good afternoon. A brief spell of summers to come to end the week across southern areas
00:05and it will turn much drier and brighter through this afternoon. But it has been a rather cloudy
00:10start across the UK and that's because we've got low pressure dominating. Centred just
00:15to the east of the UK, wrapped around it though are these weather fronts. Now these are going
00:19to pivot around through the rest of this morning and into this afternoon, bringing still some
00:24further spells of heavy rain. The main bulk of the rain though through this morning has
00:27been across eastern areas of northern England. Behind it though, some heavy showers breaking
00:31out across eastern areas of Scotland this afternoon as well as northeastern England.
00:35We've got a weather warning here because there could be some surface water and potentially
00:39some localised flooding as well. Also, showery outbreaks of rain will likely affect eastern
00:44areas of England still into this afternoon. But the further west you go, the drier and
00:48brighter it becomes. There is a bit of a breeze around but there will be more in the way of
00:52sunshine and definitely more in the way of drier weather to end the day. Temperatures
00:55climbing into the low 20s across southern areas, higher teens across the north. So starting
01:00to feel a little bit warmer. As we head into this evening, that drier and clearer weather
01:04will become more widespread as higher pressures building in for a couple of days. So much
01:09of the cloud melting away to leave clear skies for many areas. There will still be some showery
01:13outbreaks of rain pushing into the far north-west but for most of us it's going to be a dry
01:18night. A slightly fresher night to come as well, particularly if you're in rural areas
01:23but still many towns and cities still in the low or potentially mid-teens and I think it's
01:28going to be a pretty bright start to Wednesday with the July sunshine. It should warm up
01:32quite quickly even if you do see a fresher start. So plenty of sunshine to come through
01:36Wednesday, a much drier and widely brighter day. Plenty of sunshine through the morning,
01:41a little bit cloudier in the afternoon but still plenty of sunny spells. We could see
01:44the odd shower here and there across parts of England and Wales. Further you go towards
01:49Northern Ireland and western areas of Scotland we could see some outbreaks of rain and cloudier
01:53skies to end the day as this weather front is approaching from the west. But that high
01:58pressure is going to dominate at least through the rest of this week. So temperatures on
02:02Wednesday quite widely into the low 20s across much of England and Wales as well as parts
02:07of Scotland. We could see 24 or 25 degrees across southern areas. So a nice end to the
02:13day on Wednesday for most areas away from the far north and west and it looks like that
02:18will lead us into another fine day on Thursday as well. Temperatures likely climbing a little
02:24bit higher on Thursday. We could see temperatures climbing towards the low 30s by Friday as
02:29well. You can find more details on that across all of our YouTube videos. See you soon. Bye
02:33bye.
